PSA

I know that I’ve been making jokes about the hurricane but just listen real quick.

It’s Copperhead season and this squiggly fuckers don’t even lay eggs, they just squirt out babies one after the other.

This is even worse because of Florence. She’s gonna cause floods and the floods are gonna carry those little snakes with it.

PLEASE DO NOT SWIM IN FLOOD WATER

ALIGATORS, SNAKES, DISEASE, BLOOD (from hospitals or vet offices), AND OTHER DANGEROUS THINGS

Gonna reblog this again because of the flooding in the North! Stay safe everyone!

Tim Drake would be able to wield Mjölnir. Discuss.

I said this in a response to a reblog but I’m gonna put it here too!

Okay I honestly didn’t expect to get responses to this and I totally forgot about it so I’m just gonna copy and paste my reasoning to the replies:

From my vague understanding, the requirements for being worthy are to be “pure of heart”, courageous, to have the ability to put others before yourself, and also, as someone mentioned, have the willingness to take a life shall the need arise.

Knowing Tim Drake, he fits all of those qualities - but the last one (willingness to take a life) is the most debated in this argument. As we all know, Batman has a very strict no killing rule that he tried to implement into all of his proteges (note: tried). Tim has so far followed this rule pretty well HOWEVER there are two instances that led me to believe he would be considered worthy.

  1. During Tim’s search for Bruce after he “died”, Tim mentions that he needs to be something else- someone willing to break rules that Bruce, himself, wouldn’t allow himself to break even if the situation called for it. (this was in the first or second Red Robin issue I read them online so I am very bad at keeping track of comic issues my apologies)
  2. (TW: Suicide Mentioned) Tim, on multiple occasions, has shown that he is willing to die for others. He is willing to die for his friends or random citizens should the situation call for it. I don’t know if this would count but it could be seen as “taking a life” and also the “ability to put others before yourself” requirement

Tim has shown multiple times that he is willing to do what needs to be done. No, he’s not like Jason who believes that “what needs to be done” is almost always taking a life, but he does see when it is absolutely necessary.

I feel like he wouldn’t be able to for the same reasons that comics Peter Parker can’t, aka the unwillingness to take a life no matter what.

I feel like Hamster Dance has some underlying religious tones that we should talk about more

end the conventionally attractive feminine neurotypical white blonde/brunette wlw industrial complex

This is representative of such a tiny portion of wlw couples yet it’s all we get. I’m so tired of this narrative. We need to see way more wlw of color, butches, wlw with disabilities, neurodivergent wlw, wlw over 40, plus sized wlw, etc. It’s not representation it’s scraps

books?? amazing. paperbacks?? soft, cozy, may fit in your pocket, cheap so you don’t feel bad for taking notes in them. hardcovers??? beautiful, pristine, ground you into the world they hold by making you grip them tighter, the stars of every bookshelf. ebooks?? convenient, cheap, always with you, a vast library that you can hold in your palm. new books?? crisp, the smell of wood, ideas waiting to imprint themselves upon the world. old books?? objects transcending history, sweet smelling, enriched by the hands that stroked their pages. books.

Come, wayward souls And wander through the darkness There is a light, for the lost and the meek Sorrow and fear are easily forgotten When you submit to the soil of the earth

Grow, tiny seed You are called to the trees Rise till your leaves fill the sky Until your sighs fill the air in the night Lift your mighty limbs And give praise to the fire
