Konoha Hundred Leaf Collection #51 - A ruined country's crest handed down to the Village Hidden in the Leaves (p. 36, Naruto Databook 4 "Jin no Sho")

The Village Hidden in the Whirlpools that was decimated in the world of war. That village's mark has been etched into the back of the Konoha Chuunin vest. The administration that led the Village Hidden in the Whirlpools, the "Uzumaki Clan", were distant blood relatives of the Senju Clan, and the two villages built friendly relations by offers of Sealing Techniques and such since ancient times.

[Bottom Right, panel of Kushina] Kushina: "I was chosen as the second Jinchuuriki of the Ninetails. Honestly speaking, I was brought to Konoha for the purpose of becoming the Ninetails' Jinchuuriki… from the Land of Whirlpools that is."
