I love how we get to witness nicos recovery as he processes and works through his traumas. Like we don’t see this happening. But we can see it in his actions. And obviously I didn’t want the shit to happen to him in the first place, but it’s still interesting. Yeah, sure he still seems broody but you can tell by his interactions with Will that he is slowly opening up and becoming dorky again. He had friends, and seems happy. I love our boy so much.

Okay I’m back later. This is a draft from a few weeks ago. And I still like it but I can’t figure out what to add to the post until now..

UNCLE RICK BETTER NOT KILL OFF WILL. We need to stop saying it’s gonna happen. Ain’t no one manifesting that shit on my gay minecraft server. Also if it does happen, I will R E V O L T. I am NOT under any uncertain terms, having one of the only LGBTQ+ couples in my favourite series be torn apart. I need things to project onto people!!! Also I just don’t wanna see Nico have more shit happen to him.

But it’s not only because of will that nico recovers. Like all throughout the Percy Jackson series we see nico recovering from the loss of his sister. Going from being angry and lashing out in Titans curse, to joining the war and helping camp half blood during the last Olympian.

While we don’t see a lot of nico during the actual series, every time he pops back in he’s doing a little bit better.

Will simply helps him return to the happiness he had when Bianca was alive.
