Rules & Guidelines

Wesper week will run from July 24th – July 31st. Late entries will be accepted until August 15th.

Plagiarism is prohibited.

All languages are welcome.

All fanmade mediums are welcome as well. This includes fics, arts, threads, playlists, headcanons, edits, etc.

Older work will be accepted as long as they fit the prompts for that day.

Each day has four prompts but you do not have to use all of them. Choose the one you prefer, and interpret it as you wish. You can also choose more than one prompt and combine them together.

Stories, arts & any kind of nsfw content are accepted. However, always respect the rules of the site where you will post your work. (For example, you could post explicit art on ao3 or twitter - marking it as sensitive content - but not on tumblr).

Use the hashtag #WesperWeek2023. Add any specifics about the content of your work (trigger warnings, violence, dark themes, nsfw, etc). Submissions need to be properly tagged to be accepted into the week and reblogged.

Some of y'all really take too much delight in kicking down people who are genuinely excited about the source material and are also literally just trying earn a living, just because they didn't cater to YOU 100%.

The team wants to get to a show that will mean huge strides for representation (including an episode next season in Inej's POV that was written BY a desi woman) but sure, be bitter and snarky and entirely unproductive online instead 🥰 ❤️

Saints, this! Shadow and Bone (the show) has it's faults, yes, but it's still a wonderful show that brought nuanced and diverse characters. So these tweets and post from the writers and cast aren't a, "hey, get as a spin off so we can fix this mess/ignore it", it's them saying "help us get a spin off for characters that deserve their own show where we can fully flesh out their stories." A show that will have some much representation with two actors of color and a queer actor as half of the leads of the show, three queer characters, one character with adhd, six characters dealing with past trauma and abuse... I mean there's a reason the Crows resinate with so many people, including the actors that play them. They want this spinoff for themselves and the fans because they want (and probably feel they need) to tell this story of these six outcast who face impossible odds every day and still mange to keep going.

I for one like that Wylan is somewhat experienced and not a pure cinnamon roll. I feel like I see that often in M/M or F/F ships. One is tough, experienced and knows what they want. The other is bashful, inexperienced and submissive. I like the change!

I can't get over how exasperated Wylan is at Jasper in this moment. The face Jack makes is just top tier.

Synopsis: After watching your brothers die, you found yourself working on the Volkvolny. In the many years since then, you somehow became the queen of Ravka while your brother somehow survived firepox and life in the Barrel, rising through its ranks. In disguise during a diplomatic trip with your husband Nikolai, you meet Kaz Brekker for what you think is the first time, only to find out that he is your long-thought-dead little brother.

Author's Notes: Hi Hello Hi! This is my first time publishing my writings so here goes nothing. I wrote this with the books in mind, though you could still imagine the characters from the show. In my head, this story takes place sometime between Crooked Kingdom and King of Scars. I have much more of this story written including more fluffy Nikolai content than the scraps in this chapter so I will post it if y'all want it (I'm talking about there's-only-one-bed content, mutual-pining-in-silence content, Nikolai being a sophisticated dumbass at times content; it's all great I assure you).

Warnings: Minimal Fluff, Much Angst, Jordie and Kaz's (not really tho) deaths in the past, mentions of panic attacks, mentions of firepox and the Hertzoon con, reader oscillating between super excited and absolutely devastated.

NINTH YEAR

The Crow Club was a new establishment since you had last walked the streets of the Barrel many years ago. You could remember going past the front of the building on your way to the exchange, but you couldn't recall it being anything but vacant. Back then there were no tourists and gamblers crawling about the place like there were now. It was just as empty as the coffee shop where a dreadful man conned you and your brothers.

Wasn't aware I needed this dynamic in my life, but it's amazing 😍😫

thinking about how, as a child, kaz’s favorite trick seemed to be watching something disappear, and then he grew up and fell in love with a girl who could vanish into thin air, and how we’re told that when he looks at inej, he feels like a boy again and believes that there’s still magic in the world. imagine loving magic all your life, and then discovering that magic loved you too.

My heart 🥹 This made me fall even more in love with Kanej, and I didn't think that was possible. The things these two do to me.
