To members of the Brazilian Congress, the government of Jair Bolsonaro and world leaders: As citizens around the world, we were horrified to see the rapid increase in the destruction of the Amazon rainforest in recent months. I lost hope in humanity. Because the trees are still burning right now as you read this text. Because no "famous environmentally friendly" person is talking anything about it. Because everyone else is too selfish to even care about the wellbeing of our own world.
