❥ while training with him he pushes you to your max, but is there to catch/steady you when you fall; gripping your arm or hands around your waist it doesn’t matter, he will catch you

❥ during meetings he’ll hand you maps and important paperwork, fingers brushing yours as he does so. he notices how you blush so he makes it a point to do it every time. if he’s sitting next to you he relaxes to the point where his leg rests against yours. he notices how you don’t pull away which makes his heart leap

❥ scoffs while telling you your shirt’s collar is worn wrong, then leaning in and fixing it for you. his fingertips touch your neck and once they reach your collarbone? he secretly can’t believe you’re letting him do this and he realizes he doesn’t ever want to pull away

❥ he catches you asleep in the mess hall and he cant help but brush a strand of hair away from your face. he knows you cant stay out here, so he gently picks you up and takes you to your room. he takes his time walking down the hall, wanting to keep you in his arms as long as he can <3

Thinking about how Hange’s whole life was a quest for beauty and humanity in perceived monsters. Their practice of compassion and curiosity when approaching the opposite side stood in stark opposition to Eren’s, and they literally bursted into flames for that cause.

Hange’s fascination with Titans was never just a quirk. It translates into a desire to understand the dark side of humanity that we all hold within us, our (very human) potential for violence and harm, that the Titans were a metaphor for.

to me. very funny in the figurative scheme of things. how literal titans die from being cut on the nape of the neck, figuratively representing monsters in human form. and mikasa’s scarf eren gave to her protects the nape of her neck. and more for funsies, ackermans are a product of titan science, partly human partly titan. it’s a metaphor for, whether she would go on to be monstrous or not, how eren intended to protect her regardless.
