ive spent a lot of time on kanej getting married and their last names and i thought about inej using kazs actual last name rietveld and THEN i was like ohmygod kaz ghafa and now i’m like holy shit!!!!!! kaz ghafa-rietveld to his friends, kaz brekker, bastard of the barrel to everyone else

cause like OKAY obviously they’re not using brekker and i just feel like inej “cried when she heard her family name for the first time in a long time at the menagerie” would be attached to ghafa and kaz would do anything for her but shes also always wanted to be typically 'married' and take each other’s names and so thus! inej ghafa-rietveld and kaz ghafa-rietveld! the king of the barrel and his pirate captain wife!
