The Archeron sisters are the perfect example of how everyone deals with trauma and depression differently.

Nesta shows us that we can get ugly and nasty when dealing with trauma and depression when we don’t actually mean it but we can’t help it. It’s a trauma response to assert dominance. And through asserting dominance, we protect ourselves even though it may be wrong sometimes. We hope that in asserting dominance and being nasty, it will intimidate others into thinking twice before violating us!!! We see through Nesta’s actions how it’s a direct result of trauma.

With Elain we see how people can become withdrawn, disassociated and avoidant when dealing with trauma and depression. We tend to turn to the things that once gave us joy in the hopes that it will heal us, like Elain does with gardening. We also avoid confrontation as much as possible because we’re tired and withdrawn from reality. We avoid the harshness of reality as much as we can because if we don’t, we’re constantly reminded of how horrible this world is and what was done to us. We also tend to lean on the people that bring us most comfort and security in our lives so we don’t have to worry about being a target anymore.

With Feyre we see how people can completely give up and not care about our lives or what happens to it anymore. We don’t care how much weight we lost/gained. We don’t care whether we’ve eaten or not and we don’t care if someone completely dictates our lives and future because we’re so numb and withdrawn that we just don’t gaf anymore. We are willing to let others live our lives for us and don’t care whether we live or die until someone tells us that it’s not right. And even then it takes months for us to start caring again. Even then it takes months to stop feeling numb and wanting to live again.

So that’s why I’m 100% pro Archeron’s and the rest of you guys can eat rocks for all I care 😩

I have this headcanon that the House of Wind starts being extra nice to Cassian after officially mating with Nesta. Like making sure his weapons are polished. His leathers are clean. That when he comes back weary from a long day from the Illyrian war camps, there’s a plate of his favorite food and a hot bath waiting whether Nesta is there or not. Like a salute to “my girl loves you, so I’ll take care of you too.”

Alternatively, when Cassian and Nesta get into a fight, the house almost always sides with Nesta. You will hear multiple doors slamming from all the way at the other ends of hallways... Well, until it thinks they’ve taken it too far than you best believe that house is going to withhold all amenities until they make up and or lock them in a room together.

I have so many headcanons about this house, I'm not gonna lie. I never expected a house to be my favorite character lol

Here are some more!

-Nesta and Cassian start getting in the habit of telling the house goodbye, hello, good morning, good night, thank you. The others think it's weird when they come over, but they start doing it to, whispers at first, like they think the house's entity is going to come out of the walls or something. The house is endlessly amused.

-When they babysit Nyx, the house will make sure he has the best hiding spot, so much so that Cassian has lost him MANY times until Nesta has intervened and demanded to know where he is. The house begrudgingly gives in. But, Nyx is usually either taking a nap by the time they find him or he's giggling profusely.

-Guests start leaving romance novels as some sort of "offering" to the house. Nesta has to remind them that it is not a small god. The house isn't going to kick them out or play tricks on them if they don't. But the IC are fae and therefore prone to superstition, and they think better safe than sorry.

-Interestingly enough the house LOVES guests. It remembers its time almost being completely unoccupied and sometimes gets lonely. It also notes that Nesta actually likes hosting parties as long as she's comfortable with the people who come, but she's not very good at inviting people. So it starts being a mission for the IC to at least have one party held at the house and with Nesta every month to the point where they start making up holidays and/or finding the most obscure ones. Nesta thinks it's funny to see them go to so much effort.

-The House is as girly and ostentatious as Nesta. So, it changes itself to look like what Nesta wants her house to look like. Really comfortable, bright, a bit neutral, some bits of blue, bouquets. Tasteful and elegant. When Rhys announces that he is giving them the house, when they go back to the House it is already changed it's whole furniture layout and decoration as if it knew that it now belonged to Nesta and was very happy about it.

-There are A LOT of rooms in the House of Wind, even some you don't notice at first. So if the house doesn't like you or if you piss Nesta or Cassian or their kids or their family off, the House will make sure you are lost forever. Because they are the House's family and the House is just as protective as Nesta.

Cassian: Doesn’t count when you use your hands to do most of the work.

Nesta: I bet that isn’t what you’ve been telling yourself at night.

Cassian: Is that what those smutty books teach you? That it’s only at night? It could be anytime—dawn’s first light, or when I’m bathing, or even after a long, hard day of practice.

Nesta: Sounds like you have a lot of time on your hands, Cassian.

Feyre and Rhys enjoy taking care of each other and being super protective and they would die and kill for each other and that's okay.

Cassian and Nesta are not for the protective and extremely co dependent existence, but at the same time would die and kill for each other and that's okay too.

We as a fandom don’t appreciate the cuteness of Elain giving Azriel a kiss on the cheek after he rescued her in A Court of Wings and Ruin 

Soo I think as a fandom we can all agree that Rhys has the smallest dick out of all of them right ? Cause Feyre ain’t describe it like Nesta described CASSIANS- shit her HAND couldn’t fit AROUND IT-
