Being told you can choose not to lose weight is empowering. Being told your weight is out of your control is not.

How to detox your body:

  • Drink 64 oz of water a day
  • Eat a diet that meets your calorie needs
  • If you're fully aware that you're consuming stuff that's bad for you then consider stopping but idc I'm not your mom
  • You literally have a liver that detoxes your body and ingesting weird shit does not make it work better

If this wasn't clear enough

STOP TREATING CHARCOAL AS A DAILY SUPPLEMENT GODDAMMIT

gentle reminder: please make sure you’re regularly cleaning your water bottles, thermos, and kettles with antibacterial soap and warm water so you don’t get ill. this includes the inside of the container itself, the straw, lid, the outside and bottom of the container, as well as any crevices. rinse well. stay safe and hydrated, babes. 🪴💧

Also do this with your animal's food and water dishes as well :)

what are your thoughts on intuitive eating?

My bestie/roommate has 3 cats. They have to be fed a certain amount of food on a schedule because Pumpkin does not have nutritional intelligence (he will overeat) but Anoki and Hades do (they stop when full).

I say this because there are people with nutritional intelligence who can intuitively eat and be healthy but there are also people without nutritional intelligence who will either under eat, over eat, or be missing important vitamins and nutrients by intuitively eating.

My thoughts are if you want to be good at intuitively eating then track your food for a few years. Seeing the nutrition labels of foods, what portion sizes really look like, what 25 g of fibre a day looks like, what a high protein diet looks like, what moderation looks like. All these things help us learn more about food.

Food is fuel, it's culture, it's comfort, it's energy, and it has cool facts that can be measured like calories, macros, micros, and vitamins. It's cool to learn more about what we put into our bodies.

Some of you might've noticed I dropped off the face of the earth for a while now, and while I won't go into much detail about what I did all these months, I wanted to at least offer an explanation.

More than anything, I just got sidetracked by life, as it always happens. The pandemic didn't change shit about my day to day life but it did force some friends to go as online as I always am, which made it easier to reconnect with a lot of people.

I kept obsessing over Fallout and started moderating some big groups in FB, met a person who became my regular roleplay partner and I started dedicating my time to that.

I jumped head first into HEMA and have been training for my first national tournament, which will take place this weekend.

I logged out from my desktop and just never got around to logging in again.

More than anything, I just took a big break from Tumblr in general, though it was less conscious and more of a thing that just happened due to all the previously mentioned things.

On a side note, when I was still updating the blog on the regular, I noticed a lot of the people I was following for content tended to, uhm... Let's say pal around with alt-right or ultra conservative content.

I'm not entirely sure if they got worse or I'm just noticing some of those things more, but regardless I plan to clean some of my following list so if you've got any suggestions for fitness, weight/loss, general motivation blogs, I'm all ears.
