Dear RPers who have wanted to interact.

I feel like i need to address this because i find it’s an issue many people, especially newcomers, have in RP.

PLEASE. DO. NOT. BE. SHY. TO. SAY. HI.

There’s no reason to be anxious or hesitant if you want to talk to me. I will happily accept a random starter, or a random tag, or an inbox message! Even if we’ve never interacted or even acknowledged one another, i will still HAPPILY interact with you!
You’re not bothering me. You’re not annoying. You’re not making me uncomfortable. I LIKE to interact with new people, it’s very exciting and fun!
Please, PLEASE, don’t be hesitant when sending in ANYTHING. I’m having a lot more fun than your anxiety tells you!

     Hale flips the dimmer switch on the wall next to the front door up halfway, and soft light illuminates the living area of her apartment. She tosses her heavy bag onto the sofa next to her with little ceremony and beelines for the kitchen, where she pulls a carton of orange juice from the fridge, unscrewing the lid and taking a large chug from it. 

     She nudges the door of the refrigerator closed, and the same smiling faces that are always there appear again. A photograph firmly attached to the front of the fridge with magnets. 

     The youngest sister looks at all the faces of her older brothers, their father and mother, at a moment in time she remembers vividly. California. It had been so humid, and hot. 

     The fridge is the home of the many smaller, un-framed photographs she’d picked out from the old house, her own little memorial that she’d stuck up, just to remember things. What they looked like, how things had been before things had started...going wrong. 

     The air compressor in the fridge kicks on. Hale looks around at her empty, quiet apartment with a familiar resignation.

     Empty. Quiet. 

     Not even a goldfish to greet her when she comes home from week-long, month-long, six month and longer deployments. 

     Just her and her sad photos of happy people. 

     It always happens just like this, here in the kitchen -- her throat starts to ache as the muscles tighten, a huge, hard lump settling somewhere in her esophagus, her chest hurts, her eyes begin to sting hard. Desperately, she wants to call someone to hear a voice, invite someone out for a movie or coffee to block out the silence, but it’s close to 2 AM and she’s just been on an 11-hour plane ride. The hours she keeps with Windfield Corp. aren’t conducive to relationships of any kind. 

     Fuck this. Fuck all of this.

Sideswipe is less than impressed.
But whatever, he took the opportunity to transform because he could. Maybe it’d piss Hale off.. maybe it wouldn’t. But there was something to be said of experiencing Earth through visual receivers verses other sensory equipment.
And, for all purposes, it did look like a butt from a distance. But he wasn’t going to admit he was wrong, for Primus’ sake no..

     “Amazing. I never thought a future tech space being wouldn’t have working eyeballs. You said you were a soldier? How do you shoot if you can’t see?” Now she’s just taking the piss out of him, because why wouldn’t she sass someone close to twenty feet taller than she is? 

     “Good thing you’re not a sniper.”

      “You know what? We’re turning around, Mr. Insecure Alien Robot. It was a fucking butt rock.” The Lamborghini is a big change from the usual pace of her father’s old truck, and she’s had to cram her 6′ 3″ frame into the tiny interior, but it’s -- he’s -- fun to drive. And fast. 

     Hale stops at the aforementioned destination, the rock in question rising in the distance. It’s a wide spot in the road, but she’s able to pull the sports car off and stretch her legs when she gets out. 

     “Viola, a butt rock.”
