A deep-seated hatred chilled you to the bone as you heard the call of your ex-pack members, a cry for help. You snorted, where had they been when you had needed them the most, you think bitterly. Since leaving the pack that had been beginning to help you accept who you were, and doing everything in your power to become a true member of the pack, working your way through the ranks of the pack to where you were able to challenge Sam’s authority, you had travelled to different parts of the world, learning different types of martial arts, you were a quick learner and everyone you had ever trained under was impressed with your skill and ability. But you missed home, missed being able to see your family and be around your friends, stupid frickin Sam and his rules of banishment. You’re making your way back through Forks, Washington for the first time in almost six months when you hear your old pack in the middle of battle. You stand at the edge of the clearing watching as the wolves help the Cullens attack the newborn vampire army, you recognise many of the wolves fighting in the clearing and when you see Jacob be attacked by a newborn you can’t help but transform, ripping the newborn to shreds before you snarl at the other wolf who had been growling at you as the Cullen’s gathered around. As the other wolves, all transform and rush back into the clearing, you growl at them as they try to touch Jacob, he had always been on your side and had stayed in contact with you on your travels

“Y/N, stand down, we need to get Jacob to safety” Sam growls and you huff, one of the Cullen’s is beside you and checking Jacob over before he tells them to get out of the clearing and he’ll be back to the reserve to check on them when they finish, before he looks up at you and he frowns

“You need to transform Y/N, we can’t have the Volturi knowing that there have been wolves here” he says and you frown before you disappear into the forest line. When you have changed and the Volturi have left, you make your way back out of the forest and into the clearing where the Cullens all seem to be waiting for you, Bella gasps when she sees you and she takes a couple of steps towards you

“Y/N, where have you been?” she asks and you raise an eyebrow as you look at the others

“I was kicked out of the pack, I’m guessing none of the others told you?” you ask and she shakes her head

“When I asked Jacob he said he wasn’t allowed to tell” she says and you sigh

“Yeah well, that’s Sam and his stupid leadership for you” you say and she frowns, she knew that many of the wolves didn’t like the fact that Sam was the leader of the wolf clan, as it was supposed to be a role that Jacob had inherited and if he had refused it was supposed to go to the one who earned the title by power, status and ability, that would’ve been you if it wasn’t for the fact that you weren’t a true shapeshifter, you were a lot smaller than the other wolves in the pack.

“I’m sorry,” she says and you nod, before turning on your feet and leaving the clearing, you wanted to head back to the reserve, needing to see your family and check up on Jacob, you didn’t care what Sam said, you had every right to be with your family and with your best mate.

Fictober 2019 - Day 9

Day 9 - “There is a certain taste to it.” with LaSalle 

The two of you were standing in the middle of a store having just arrived in Alabama, the first trip back to Chris’ home town since the two of you started dating each other eight months ago.

“Oh before we head home, Ah’ve gotta take you to this place, there’s something that you must try” Chris says as he drives into the parking lot of a small array of shops.

“What?” you ask and he looks at you gives you his signature grin. When he pulls into the car park you get out and meet him in front of the car, he takes your hand and leads you to a small shop, that has amazing smells coming from it. He drags you inside and you are greeted by a plump looking woman with a charming smile and the kindest of faces

“What can Ah do for ya loves?” she asks and you look to Chris who smiles and says

“Two of your bacon flavoured lollipops please” he says and you raise an eyebrow as he holds up a hand

“Don’t knock it till you try it, my dear”. You shake your head. He pays for the lollipops before he hands one of them to you. You’re not quite sure what you expect but a lollipop shaped like a strip of bacon with little bits infused in it is not what you were expecting. As Chris shoves the lollipop in his mouth, eyeing you in anticipation you sigh and place it in your mouth. After letting it sit in your mouth for about thirty seconds you take it out of your mouth and Chris says

“Well what d'ya think?”

“There is a certain taste to it” you say honestly and he chuckles at your answer, before thanking the shop owner and the two of you walk back out to his car.

“Now tell me honestly” he says and you raise an eyebrow at him and he gives you a knowing look

“It’s kinda funky, but a good kinda funky” you say and he cheers. You shake your head and get into the car.

Day 18 -  “Secrets? I love secrets.” with Eric Beale (I haven’t written an Eric fic in so long!)

You sigh, taking a deep breath before you steal yourself for this conversation that you were absolutely dreading. It wasn’t that you weren’t excited to share this news with him but you were nervous as to what his response would be, especially since the two of you hadn’t exactly been together very long. You make your way into the special ops centre, having gained permission from Hetty to go up and visit him. You enter the room and see him sitting next to his work partner and a close friend of yours Nell Jones, neither one of them look up at the sound of the door sliding open so when you stand beside their desk and clear your throat they both startle before looking up at you.

“Oh Y/N, hi” Nell says and you smile at her

“Hi Nell, how are you?” you ask and she gives you a reassuring smile

“I’m doing better now” she says and you nod, you had heard about Nell’s latest hostage situation from a very worried and concerned Eric just a couple of weeks ago, so it was good to hear that she was recovering.“I’m glad to hear it” you say before you look down to meet the blue eyes of your boyfriend, he’s sitting back in his chair letting the two of you talk and you raise an eyebrow at him as you say

“What? No greeting for me today Eric?” you ask and he jumps to his feet, placing his hands-on either side of your waist as a gentle kiss is placed on your lips, once the kiss is broken he rests his forehead against yours as he whispers

“Hello my beautiful” you can’t help the blush that spreads across your face at his pet name for you, before you look away, clearing your throat before you say

“Now I didn’t come all this way just to say, I actually need to talk to you Eric” he raises his hand as if to say just tell me here when you shake your head and he sighs, lacing his fingers through yours he walks with you out of the room, but not before turning back to Nell and saying 

 “Secrets? I love secrets” you can hear her chuckle as the doors close behind you.

Eric leads you into an office that looks like its seen better days. As soon as the door is closed behind you, you begin to pace back and forth, unsure of how to tell him. Eric watches you for a couple of minutes before he stops you, placing his hands on your shoulders and holding you in place. He presses a kiss to your forehead before whispering

“Whatever it is beautiful, I am here for you” you nod and bite your lip. 

 “I’m pregnant Eric” you blurt out and you watch as his eyes bug out, it would be almost comical if it wasn’t so damn serious.

“Yo-you’re pregnant! Are you serious?” he asks, when you nod he throws his arms around you and picks you up, spinning you around in his embrace before placing a passionate on your lips

“I can’t believe it! We’re going to be parents! We’re going to be a little family!” he says before capturing your lips with his again.

Day 16 -  “Listen. No, really listen.” with Sam Hanna

His lips on yours send a shiver down your spine and a heat throughout your body. You lookup into those big brown eyes and feel your heart skip a beat and then another before he places his hands on your shoulders

“Y/N, are you listening to me?” you shake yourself and nod at him before he says

“Listen. No, really listen.” You close your eyes before taking a deep calming breath, pushing aside your romantic feelings for the agent before you nod as if to say your ready to hear what he has to say.

“Our suspect is almost here, which means we’re both going to have to focus or else he’ll make us” he says and you nod, reaching out to take his hand, he takes it giving your hand a gentle squeeze of reassurance. You were positive that doing assignments with your partner hadn’t been quite so difficult before the two of you had taken the plunge with your romantic feelings, but then again Hetty had warned you that doing so would make working together difficult. You sigh before looking up and meeting those brown eyes again, he smiles at you before he reaches out and pushes your hair behind your ear and you lean into his touch.

“I love you Sam” you whisper and he smiles

“I love you too Y/N. Now let’s focus” he says and you nod.

Day 14 - “I can’t come back.” with Ziva David

You stood there watching as she fought with her demons. You knew to give her this choice was going to be hard when it came to the personal things it always would be but you were just grateful that she was actually considering it this time. As her best friend, as her “sister” you wanted nothing more than for her to stay, for her to be able to watch her daughter grow and for her to be with the one true love of her life but your knew that her job was just as important and that she had many demons hunting her down.

“Please Ziva, you know you want to be here for Tali and for Tony, you want to be around the family that you claimed as your own” you say and she shakes her head, tears brimming and threatening to fall

“I thought I could do this, I thought I could stay Y/N but I can’t. When I leave this time, I can’t come back, it just hurts too much” she says and you take a step towards her, reaching out for her as she sobs. She lets you pull her close and you hold her as she shakes

“I’m not coming back Y/N. I am so sorry” she whispers and you place a kiss on the top of her head

“It’s okay Ziva, I understand” you say and she meets your gaze as the two of you share a small smile.

You were cooking dinner in the kitchen when you looked up and saw Chris dancing around the living room and you couldn’t help the small smile that crosses your face at seeing him finally unwind after a long day at work. He looks over at you and gives you a cheeky grin, you shake your head as he makes his way over to you

“You’re an idiot” you say with a chuckle and he saunters over to you before wrapping his arms around your waist and placing a light kiss on your collar bone before he whispers with his thick Bama accent

“But you love me anyway” he says and you can’t help but moan as he moves your hair away from your neck and begins nibbling his way up along your neck and to the sensitive spot just behind your ear. You turn in his arms and lookup into those deep blue eyes and a smile spreads across your lips

“Of course I love you Chrissy” you say with a slightly teasing tone and he nips at your bottom lip before he places a hungry kiss against your lips. Its one filled with love and passion, something that still surprised you given his normal attitude towards such displays of affection, but having been with your boyfriend for the last eight months you loved seeing this side of him.

“I love you sugarbell” he says and you beam at his nickname for you, as you rest your head on his chest.

Looking At Me Like That

As you entered the room in the maternity ward, you immediately rush over to where you’re little sister is resting in the bed, her newborn daughter, your niece, just an hour old was sleeping peacefully in her arms.

“Oh she’s beautiful” you gush as you look down at your niece and then meet your sister’s eyes, leaning down to place a kiss on the top of her head

“You truly did good Soph” you whisper and she smiles tiredly at you

“Yeah three and a half hours of labour and I feel like absolute cr*p” she says before looking down at her little girl “but its all worth it for this little cutie” she finishes and you nod. You can feel Sebastian’s presence behind you as the two fo you look down at the newest addition to the family. Sophie looks up at you and asks

“Would you like to hold her?” you nod your head enthusiastically, holding your arms out so that you can hold your niece for the first time. You hold her in your arms, close to your chest and coo at her, Sebastian instantly pulls you just a little closer to him and you can’t help the gentle smile from taking over your features.

“Y/N, Derek and I, we’ve been talking and we would like for you and Sebastian to be Joelle’s godparents” you gasp, looking over at your sister and then up at your fiance, your eyes meet and he gives you a nod before you turn to look back at your sister

“We would love to be Joelle’s godparents” you say and she squeals. You spend the next couple of minutes lost in the moment, wrapped in your fiance’s arms and looking down at your niece, a look of love and adoration for the small newborn in your arms. When you look back up at your sister and Derek, you raise an eyebrow

“Why are you looking at me like that?” you ask and they both look to each other before Derek holds up his phone, showing you the picture he had taken of you and Sebastian, gazing down at the small bundle in your arms

“I was just saying to Sophie, that I wonder when the two of you are going to have one of your own” you can’t help the furious blush that rises on your cheek at his words, before you look up and meet Sebastian’s gaze, and when he whispers

“Tell them love” you nod and say

“It’s going to be sooner then you think. I’m twelve weeks pregnant now” you say and your brother and sister look at you shocked

“Are you serious?” your sister asks, eyes filling with happy tears and you nod, before Sebastian pulls out the sonogram from his pocket and the two of them stare at it before they congratulate you. It truly was a day of happiness for your family, welcoming one new addition to the family and letting the last of your family know that you were pregnant.

“Ah love you darlin'” he says and you smile

“I love you too, Dwayne, so very much” you say before you place a gentle kiss on his lips, before you snuggle into the crook of his neck and begin to drift off, safe in his arms.

Stuck In An Elevator

“I don’t think you understand,” you say, as you continue pacing through the small space. It had been over three hours of the two of you being trapped in the small metal box and whilst you normally wouldn’t have cared too much, you could feel the changes that was happening in your body as your rut starts. Hannah gets to her feet and places her hand on your cheek, stilling you as her soft caress has you meeting her gaze for the first time in three hours, you shift uncomfortably as the feelings surge through your body and you sigh

“Please Hannah, I need you” you moan and you watch as her eyes bug out before she sees the change in your posture, sees the change to you as she gets closer and you can smell her as she wraps her arms your neck and whispers

“Take me, Tammy, I’m yours”, you growl as you take her up on her word.

2019 Advent Ficlet Challenge - Day 1

Snowflake – Draco Malfoy x reader

The two of you stood wrapped in each other embrace in the middle of the Transfiguration courtyard, bundled up in layers of clothes to keep you warm, whilst the first snowfall of the season littered the ground in a thick blanket of white. The snow had begun falling overnight and with the snow having thinned during the course of the morning many had tried to brave the weather and enjoy the first snowfall. You stood in awe at the snowflakes as they fell to the ground around you

“Beautiful” you breath as you hold out a gloved hand to catch one of the falling snowflakes, your attention is on the snowflake that is slowly melting in your hand, and your so caught up that you barely even register the words that leave his mouth

“Not as beautiful as you are, my sweet”, you lookup, gaze meeting his as you stare at him in shock, even though the two of you had been dating for the last couple of months you still weren’t used to all the terms of endearment that would leave his mouth. He reaches up and moves a strand of hair behind your ear, his gaze never leaving your eyes as he gives you a gorgeous smile

“I love you, my sweet” he whispers before leaning in, and you can’t help but feel drawn into the embrace

“I love you too Draco” you whisper against his lips as you lean into the kiss.

Bed Bound

It had been a busy day, Dr Ramsey felt like it had been one horrific outcome for a patient after another, and if he was being honest all he wanted was to go home to his girlfriend and cuddle on the sofa whilst he read a book and she watched one of those binge worthy shows that she liked. He was walking down the hallway back towards his office after passing several nurses and doctors, all of whom were giving him a stranger look than normal. It wasn't until he was about to walk through the door to his office that someone decided to speak up.

"Dr Ramsey! You need to come quick" a voice calls. He turns towards the voice and sees Dr Y/L/N's roommate Dr Trinh racing down the hallway towards him. He holds out his hands when he sees she's about to barrel right into him,

"What is it Dr Trinh?" He asks, voice full of concern. She just takes your hand and runs back down the hall, the way she came. To say Ethan's confused is an understatement but he doesn't stop her or question her motives for some reason. As they're running down the halls Ethan manages to ask, breathing heavy

"Where are you taking me Sienna? What's happened?" She stops upon hearing her name and not her title, she turns back to him and frowns, tears welling up in her eyes as she rings her hands together.

"Its Y/N, she fainted whilst on her evening rounds and one of the nurses checked on her but she was really out of it, they've admitted her just in case and have started running tests and such to find out what caused this" Sienna explains. Immediately Ethan feels like his world is spiralling out of control, had he heard that right? Y/N? His Y/N? His girlfriend of over eight months was lying in one of these beds, possibly unconscious, more than likely not, worring herself because she was now the patient and on the receiving end of treatment. He shakes himself before staring at Sienna.

"Take me to her please" he begs, voice breaking on the last word. Sienna nods, wiping her eyes before leading him towards Y/N's room.

When Ethan stands on the other side of the door he's unsure if he should go in, but when he hears the voices of one of the older doctors talking about the findings he can't help but hear what they're saying and bursts into the room.

"Ethan!" Y/N says, reaching out for him, he rushes to her side and takes her hand in his before turning back to the doctors.

"Now I heard something about a suspected miscarriage, what makes you think that?" Ethan asks the doctors in the room, they both look to each other before looking back at Y/N lying in the bed and then back to Ethan.

"Are you the father Ethan?" One of the doctors asks, when Ethan looks down at Y/N seeing the fear and hurt in her eyes he nods

"Yes". The doctors both explain their assumptions to the two doctors before leaving to set up the ultrasound and scan, waiting to see what the blood test is going to say.

As soon as the doctors are out of the room, Ethans' full attention is on the woman lying in the bed, he reaches out and cups her cheek before leaning down and placing a kiss to her forehead

"How long have you known?" He asks, voice not showing any sign of emotion as he tries to process everything the doctors had told them since he entered the room.

"Only since those two doctors started talking, I swear it" she says voice small, his eyes meet hers, and he can see the truth hidden in them. He gives her hand a gentle squeeze

"But surely you must've been in pain?" He asks and she nods

"Sure I was, it felt like the pain I usually get every time I get my period, only thing was that this time I blacked out on the job and was found by a couple of residents" she explains and he sighs.

"I wish you had told me you were in pain Y/N, I would've kept a closer eye on you, or made sure you stayed home" he says beating himself up. She reaches up to cup his cheek, when he doesn't stop fretting she pulls his head down to meet hers and whispers

"No matter what happens Ethan, whether we lose this baby or not, or it it's all just some horrible joke that you will never leave me". Ethan doesn't have to think at all about his answer before his lips are attached to hers and hes telling her how much he loves her.

You’re walking down the corridor, heading towards the nurse’s station to collect your next patient file when you hear his voice, talking to one of the nurses. You can’t help the small smile from creeping across your face before you come to stand on the other side of the nurses’ station, hoping to catch his eye. He looks up, blue eyes meeting yours quickly before they move away, and you can swear that even from this distance he’s just as torn about his feelings towards you as he’s always been.

“Dr Y/L/N,” he says with a small tilt of his head before he turns and walks off. And just like that everything is back to the way it used to be, before the nicknames, before you did everything you could to help him save his mentor and friend, before the trial, before sleeping with him and giving your heart away. It’s like you don’t exist to him outside the walls of his apartment and you feel shattered. As the nurse hands you your latest the patients file you give her a small smile before looking down at the file. You sigh, clutching your latest patients case to your chest as you make your way down the hall. You feel tears threatening to fall down your cheeks and instead of heading straight to your patient’s room you make your escape, walking into one of the supply closets were you slide down against one of the shelves and curl up in a small ball.

You have no idea how long you’re in there before someone opens the door and is by your side.

“Rookie?” you hear the voice ask and you still, your breath freezing as you feel him hesitantly place a hand on your arm.

“What is it? Was it a patient?” he asks and you sit up, your bloodshot eyes meeting his concerned blue ones and you let out a sarcastic snort

“Oh that would be much better than what I’m feeling right now” you say and he stops, raising an eyebrow in confusion.

“What do you mean?” he asks and you sigh, rubbing your hands over your face before you look away

“My problem is you,” you say and he sighs

“Rookie we’ve been through this,” he says and you nod

“I know, but it doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt Ethan. It’s like we do something, we say something to each other and it means so much in private but the moment we’re in the public eye you freeze me out and ignore me” you say and he reaches out to you, but you move your head away and his hand lands on your shoulder

“I know its hard Y/N, but we can’t. I can’t jeopardise your career by being in a relationship with you not in the public eye and you know that” he says, pleading for you to understand his answers

“I know. I just wish it didn’t have to be this way. I wish I could scream it from the rooftops, let the whole world know how much I’m into you. How much I love you” you say and he leans forward, capturing your face in his hands as he whispers

“I love you Y/N”. Your jaw drops, he’d never said those words to you before and your heart swells with happiness.

“What are you doing?” you ask and he smiles

“I’m telling my world how much I love her” he says and you beam

“Oh Ethan,” you say turning your head and placing a hand on his palm. He pulls you close and whispers

“I am sorry that we have to hide us Y/N, I truly am but remember I am yours no matter what” he closes the last little bit of space and places a kiss on your lips before he scrambles to his feet and holds out his hand for you to take. Once you’re on your own to feet again, he gives your hand a gentle squeeze and says

“Can I make you dinner tonight?”. You don’t even have to think before your nodding your head and saying

“I look forward to it, my world,” you say, a teasing glint in your eye and he chuckles before letting you go.

You walk out of your patients room, tears springing to your eyes as the door closes behind you. You’d just given your patient the results to his latest scan, results that damned him and only gave him another six months of life to spend his new born daughter and wife. He was distraught and that emotion that he had lashed out at you had caused you to question your choices yet again. The words that Ethan had told you just a couple of hours ago rang in your head

“You know your worth it, you just gotta believe in yourself more than I do”, was this what he was meaning because if so then you deserve the sh*t feeling you were experiencing.

“Dr Y/L/N?” you hear someone ask, you don’t even look up before you feel the strong and familiar arms of your boyfriend and mentor dragging you out of the middle of the hallway and into one of the supply cupboards.

“Is everything alright Y/N?” he asks, voice filled with a tenderness he never showed anyone apart from his patients during the workday

“I’m a horrible person” you whisper and he lifts your chin up before placing a kiss on your lips, before pulling you into his arms for a deeper hug. His breath is against your ear before he whispers

“You are not a horrible person, your a very good person who is just doing their job”. You sniffle

“I know but I can’t help but feeling like his anger towards me is justified, I just put a ticking time bomb in his hands, a death sentence on how much time he has left with his family” you say and Ethan reaches up and cups your cheek, placing a kiss on your nose before a kiss lands on your lips, he’s putting as much feeling into this kiss and you reciprocate. When he pulls away he whispers

“You are not a bad person Y/N and we both know that even medicine can not save everyone” you nod, sighing you scrub at your face before looking up into those beautiful blue eyes, he reaches out and laces his fingers with yours

“Thank you Ethan” you say and he nods before he lifts your joined hands to his mouth, kiss the back of your hand as his gaze never wavers from yours.

As you stood opposite him, you could feel a sense of hope wash over you, unsure if it was your own or his radiating from him as he took a step towards you and then another before he was finally in front of you, hand reaching out to cup your cheek as he looks into your bright red eyes. For the first time in years you were seeing the man you had spent a century fighting to find. When you had heard rumours of an appearance of someone matching Jasper’s description you had hunted him down until you found him. When you did, it was in the middle of clearing he was out hunting, you stood watching, he looked as gracious as ever and you could tell that he was struggling with something, you hadn’t spent thirty years as his companion for nothing after all. You lean into his touch, and give him a small smile

“Y/N?” he barely whispers but you can still hear your name escape through his lips. You place your hand over his and turn your head to kiss the inside of his palm, something that you had always done when the two of you had been together.

“What are you doing here?” he asks troubled and you raise an eyebrow at him before you say

“I heard whispers that you were still alive, I needed to see if those rumours were true”. He nods slowly before looking back at you and sighs, you stop him before he has a chance to speak

“I know you have a true mate now Jasper, I didn’t come here looking for that. I just needed to see for myself that you were truly okay. I’ve spent over a century searching for you” you say and he nods dropping his hand from your cheek but not letting go of your hand.

“I never stopped loving you though” you whisper and he swallows

“When I last saw you, you were in bed with someone else Y/N, I left to figure out where I had gone wrong but I never stopped loving you either. And now seeing you here, my heart hurts when I see you and I find myself drunk on the pain” he admits and you feel crushed, you had always wondered why Jasper had truly left you.

“I’m truly sorry Jasper. I shouldn’t have come” you say, turning to leave but he catches you before you have a chance to run off.

“Oh no you don’t, I didn’t go all this time without seeing you not to have you leave before we have a chance to actually catch up” he says and you sigh

“Okay, I’ll stay” you say and as the two of you sit in the middle of the clearing you begin swapping stories. It’s almost like your betrayal never happened and the two of you were young vampires together, living out your best lives, happy together.

He’s standing in front of you, cupping your cheek as you lean into his touch. You’re trying so desperately to make sense of what’s going on here, you had known Edward a long time, but he had never shown any sort of interest in you before this moment.

“Edward…” you whisper and he leans his forehead down, meeting yours as he says

“I can’t understand it. It’s like every time I try leaving you, try leaving this place it physically hurts me to do so. Like all my soul yearns for is your presence” your jaw drops, and he sighs

“I knew it was too good to be true. You don’t feel the same way” he says, his hand dropping from your cheek and you immediately miss the contact.

“It’s not that I don’t feel the same way Edward, of course, I do. I just- it never occurred to me that you would feel the same way towards me, you always seemed so distant around me” you whisper, unsure of what you’re trying to tell him. He reaches down, lacing his fingers with yours as he says

“In all my years on this planet Y/N, I have never met anyone who has enamoured me the way you do. From the moment I meet you I have done everything in my power to try and fight them but I can’t do it anymore. It hurts too much” he says and you nod, rising on your tiptoes to capture his lips in a hungry embrace, when you pull apart you whisper to him and say

“I feel the same way Edward, I love you” you say and he beams, his eyes lighting as a dashing smile brightens his face

“Oh it makes my dormant heart so happy to hear those words. I love you so much Y/N” he says and you smile, giving his hand a gentle squeeze

“Forever,” you say and he nods

“Forever”.
