Thinking that Elara sticks out like a sore thumb in octaria in her magical girl form. bc like, theyr having energy issues so the lights are dim most of the time and the walls r kinda grungy bc theres more useful things to spend resources on then repainting them, so everything is either Metal Colored, black, or a kind of beige-ish grey that used to be white forever ago but now not so much. meanwhile eight is literally fuckin Glowing and her clothes r this silvery white. she has to draw near immediate attention to herself fr
That paired with the fact that magical girls r generally unnerving. Like, with Elara, if you have the privilege of getting near, the cold settles into your skin in something like fear, the frost settles into something deeper than your soul. her eyes are dark and formless and her being is bright and unyielding. theres something in the air about her that makes you want to run and freeze and fall into a deep sleep all at once.
Elara is terrifying is what im saying.
