MY BLOG

Welcome to my blog! I'm very new to writing Fanfica, but I hope you enjoy my works anyways. You can request fics, even with different fandoms, if I know them I'll list it all in the near future.

I love to reblog fanfics and I'm a multifandom fan.

Only rule I have and can think of for now are: Minors do not interact with my blog. I tend to reblog 18+ fics, or I may write such fics in the future myself.

Incase you still want to interact, that is your choice and the path that you want to take. I have already done my job of warning you.

Smon eveng (Familiar child)

Eetu x Sarentu!Reader

Summary: It's been 8 years since you and the others have driven out most of the RDA. Now you enjoy your peaceful life with Family. But misunderstanding between your two boys want to ruin the peace.

Word count: 3.1K

It is a peaceful and sunny day in Pandora, only the sounds of the forest could be heard this afternoon. It had been many years since most of the Sky people had been driven out. Although there were a few units that remained, there were more intense wars that had occurred. Fewer Na’vis would be injured, peace had slowly become the normal for the People.

Today, however, a young Na’vi child could be seen climbing onto one of the machines that was left by the Sky people. The machine had plantations growing over it and was rusted due to the years gone by and Pandora taking the land back from them. The boy’s face was pulled into determination and curiosity as he explored the RDA scorpion, he remembered his mother telling her stories about fighting them. Just as he was about to reach the top, a voice shouting to him could be heard.

“NA’LUK! Get down from there right this instant!”

The boy, Na’luk grumbled and turned to look down at his sempul (father) who had a stern expression on his face and with his arms folded across his chest from what he could see. He wished it would have been his mother who found h- ‘wait, no that would be even worse’ Na’luk thought to himself as he slowly climbed down the RDA machine. Jumping off one the ledges closer to the ground. As he came closer to his sempul, he noticed that the frown was even deeper.

“We are going home. Now.” Eetu stated, his voice leaving no room for argument, before walking in the direction of their kelkul. Na’luk followed, having done this many times, he knew not to argue with his sempul. He just wished you, his mother wouldn’t be home.

After a while they arrived at the kelkul (home) within the Aranahe clan, the home made by Eetu and you together. After a confession from Eetu, you both had been courting each other for a while. Then when you and the others had finally defeated Mercer, Eetu formally asked you to be his mate as per tradition and took you as his muntxate (wife) under Eywa. You decided to stay with the Aranahe clan most of the time, while also making sure to visit Ri’nela, Teylan and Nor.

You remember very well 8 years ago when you had informed Eetu you were pregrant for the first time, he picked you up and spun you in happiness. You both had gone on an Ikran ride to celebrate, Eetu finally had the courage to bond with another Ikran. Which later became a ritual to go on Ikran riding dates. Etuwa had become a godmother, a term you learned from the Resistance and bestowed upon her. She had been very happy to hear, both her and Nefika had given you so many gifts for the baby as well as you. Eetu had become much more responsible in those years as the preganacy progressed, the birth of your son, as he grew, when you became pregnant again and finally during the birth of your daughter, Limi.

Back to the present, they both noticed you and Limi were not there. You must have taken Limi and gone to talk with Etuwa then. Eetu heads to the middle of the kelkul and turns around to face his son. Watching him closely as well as looking over Na’luk to see if he could have been hurt, his worry clouding his mind at just getting them home.

Eetu did not know what to do in this situation. How much can he explain to his son that the Sky people are dangerous? that they will take everything they love. On one hand he is happy his boy is exploring and learning the ways of the people, but on the other he does want him to get hurt.

“Do you know how worried your mother was when she found Limi searching for you while crying? You had promised your little sister that you would play with her. Instead you were out there doing dangerous things. What if something had happened to you?” Na’luk flinched and felt guilty when he heard his sempul say that. He did not want to make you or his little sister feel sad ever. He didn’t mean to make his family worried, he just wanted to show his sempul that he was brave and courageous like him.

Eetu sighed as he could see that his son felt remorse at the situation. He just wanted him to understand that something could have happened to him.

They then could hear your voice coming closer as you were consoling a little Na’vi girl who was crying with her arms around your neck, while you were hugging her and walking towards the entrance of your kelkul while whispering sweet words to her. Your ears twitched as you heard signs of presence within the kelkul. You headed inside and sighed in relief to see that your son was safe. You then looked towards your mate, expressing gratitude.

You slowly coaxed your child to turn around to see her big brother and sempul. Limi gasped and tried to get down to rush towards her brother, she immediately jumped into Na’luk’s open arms. Her sniffles are muffled by her hugging her brother tightly in her arms. Na'luk apologizes to his sister, feeling sad that he made her cry and worry.

You walk over to Eetu, placing your hands on his chest and placing a kiss on the corner of his lips. Your tail curling around him. “Thank you for bringing our son home, oeyä muntxatan (my husband). ” Eetu just smiled, the smile not reaching his eyes for once due to the worry for his son. He leans down to place a gentle kiss on your lips as a response.

“Can you take Limi inside for now? I need to discuss with our son the dangerous situation could have been in.” Eetu said in a strained voice.

You nodded, whispered a ‘don’t be hard on him’  to Eetu and gently picked up Limi, who was slowly falling asleep in her brother's arms, tired out from all the crying. Na’luk gave you a guilty look and apologized, “I’m sorry sa’nok, I didn’t want to make you so worried.” You just smiled at him and rubbed the top of his head affectionately before heading to another part of the kelkul to give Eetu the privacy to talk and put Limi down for a nap.

Na’luk felt even more guilty when he didn’t hear his sa’nok say anything back. He turned towards his sempul, feeling ashamed that he made him worried and angry as well. But the next words that Eetu uttered were so shocking that it made him gasp and left him heartbroken.

“I thought I taught you to be better than this. I’m disappointed in you Na’luk.” Eetu was too frustrated and concerned at what could have happened to his precious son, to notice how his words had affected Na’luk. All he wanted was for his son to understand his advice.

However, when he finally looked at his son’s face, who had tears running down his cheeks, he immediately felt cold regret wash over, not meaning he words at all and walked towards towards him to say, “Na’luk, oeyä ‘eve (my boy), I’m sorry I-” but he was cut off when Na’luk pushed him away, his little body trembling, trying to stifle his cries.

The young boy looked at Eetu with betrayal on his face and shouted, his voice shaking, “n-nga ve’kì  oer! (I hate you!). I…I only wanted to show you that I could be brave like you!” Before Eetu could stop him, Na’luk runs out of the kelkul without looking back, heading in the direction to the where they would usually go to fish and play in the water.

Eetu curses under his breath, his tail curling in agitation and puts a hand over his face due the frustration coursing over him. He could hear your footsteps slowly come closer to him and felt you hug him from behind, your arms and tail circling him in comfort. Your presence itself was always a comfort to him. Eetu places his other hand on yours and rbs circles in it.

You pull your arms back to face him and place your hands on his face to turn him towards you, his eyes clouded with frustration and hurt, “What is wrong, oeyä tsamsiyu (my warrior)? Why would you say such a thing to Na’luk when I know you don’t mean it?” You ask him gently, caressing his face. He just sighs, burrowing his face in your hands to collect his thoughts on what to say.

You signed softly looking at your poor mate. After so many years, He had become responsible after Zomey’s death, understanding that heading first thing into battle was not always the solution. He also became protective over you after you both mated, with you fighting the RDA and always travelling as the Sarentu envoy. But it had only become much worse when you almost lost your life due to Harding nearly killing you, a scar was left as a reminder. After that day, Eetu was always worried that the Sky People would take his happiness away again.

Especially now with this situation with Na’luk, he was every bit like his father in looks as well as personailty, the only difference in his appearance was having your eyes. But, seeing Na’luk was like seeing Eetu in his younger days.

After finally thinking it over, Eetu looked you in the eyes, his gaze looked defeated and slowly opened his mouth to let the the words he has been keeping in his mind, “I do not want him to be like me.” Your eyes widen in concern over the whispered words. You continued caressing his face, your eyes letting him know that he could continue and that you would listen, “When I see Na’luk, I see me when I was younger and reckless. I see myself when I thought being courageous and adventurous was the only thing that mattered. I see myself when I had lost Zomey and when I had almost lost you. I’m scared that if he becomes like me, either h would be hurt or he will lose someone he loves.”

You immediately hug your mate, feeling sorrow that your mate was going through this, although you knew the situation, Eetu had always wanted to be the one to solve it. You then pull back to make tsaheylu (bond), pulling his tswin (braid) towards yours, to make the bond. You both sigh at the feeling, even after so many years, the bond always felt strong as the first. You immediately send your love and strength to him through the bond.

You think over your next words that you wish to say to him, you finally decide to say, “Eetu, my love,  do not be afraid. You are both at heads with each other because you both do not convery which is in your heart.” Eetu looks confused at that, not understanding what you meant.

You just smile, “If you want our boy to understand, you have to tell him the story the RDA and of you and Zomey, of why you are so worried about him. He only sees your frustration, not your reason for it.” You look down at his tail curing around one of your leg and continue, “Our boy is so confused right now, he sees the brave warrior that you are that protects the clan and he sees you as his inspiration for this. His warrior father, that is what he sees. He is just a little boy that loves his sempul so much and wants to be like him. So instead teach him to be the you that you are proud of today. Not of your past.”

It feels like something clicked in Eetu’s brain after hearing your words. Why did he not think of that? Eetu can never thank you enough for the love you give him and to your family. You were always a guiding star to them. Eetu grins, his familiar grin just like the day when you first met and even till date it still made your heart flutter.

Eetu felt happy at your reaction and the feeling of love and a slight bit of lust passing through the bond. He projects his thoughts to you, ensuring that your needs would be very much satisfied after talking with his son. Your eyes widen and you lightly whack him on the chest, trying to hide how much he affected you.

Eetu pulls you closer to kiss you, his tail curling around your leg even more tightly, as a thank you and a promise for more later. You both pull back, plcng your forehead’s together and smiling at one another. Before Eetu slowly pulls back and gently breaks the bond, to head over to where his son had run off. You look at him and pray to Eywa that all will be well, before deciding to make some dinner.

Rushing water can be heard as Eetu nears closer to the lake that he and Na’luk love to fish. Eetu uses his senses to look for his boy and finds him sitting on a rock with his knees bent towards his chest and his face buried between them. Eetu gently approaches him, making sure his footsteps are heard to announce his arrival and he can see that Na’luk notices him when he sees his little ears twitch in his direction.

Eetu sits down as well facing the lake but keeping some space between so as to not overwhelm Na’luk. They both sit in silence for a while, only letting the sounds of the forest and the little sniffles that Na’luk let out could be heard. A fish splashes the water in the distance.

Finally Eetu speaks, making Na’luk peek at him from his position, “I’m so sorry, Maitan. I did not mean to hurt you with such words” Na’luk furrows his hairless brows at his sempul and questions in a low voice, his tone uncertain, “Then why did you say them? It hurt”

Eetu frowns at that, wanting to hug his son as an apologise, not wanting to hear such a low voice again, “because you are already like me when I was younger, Na’luk. I was scared because of that.”  He scooches closer and faces Na’luk to continue, “I was so reckless and adventurous when I was young. That it cost me to close my Ikran Zomey.”

Na’luk looks up at this, shocked that his father was speaking about this. He had always heard stories of his father and his first Ikran Zomey. How they fought viciously against the RDA and won. But whenever, he would ask his father for a story of him and Zomey, Eetu would clamp up, his voice strained, not explaining much and he could see the way you would comfort his sempul. After that he hadn’t asked his father again, not wanting to hurt him.

Eetu notices his interest and smiles sadly as he tells the story, “It was just after some time I had met your sa’nok, I found a group of the Sky People destroying our lands. I could not sit still, I immediately rushed to fight them all by myself. But when I jumped into one of their demon machines, I was locked within it and my beautiful Ikran Zomey fought against those demons with all her might.”

Na’luk’s eyes widened, his tail curling in worry for the Ikran. He places a hand on his fathers arm, just as his sa’nok did when she comforted his sempul. Eetu's smile widens at this, you might say that Na’luk was just like him, but his gentle heart came from you.

“Your sa’nok helped Zomey fight, as she is a strong warrior and tried to free me from that contraption, getting locked in herself. When we finally got out, I was injured and could not walk as fast. Your mother looked for Zomey and found her. She was on her last breath, I was able to send her off with you mother. To this day I regret being so reckless. It is why I do not want you to be like that”

Eetu looks towards the sky, remembering the time he almost lost you as well. He looks towards his son, who had tears gathering at his eyes, hearing such a sorrowful story. Eeut pulled him closer to his side as he continues with another story, knowing that his son loved hearing about his mother “You sa’nok is one of the strongest warriors I know, she would fight of the RDA and would help reunite clans together.” Na’luk’s eyes shone in excitement at that, wanting to hear more of it.

“But, when in one of the most intense wars that had happened, You sa’nok was almost taken from us by those demons. They hurt so much” Na’luk gasped, you were almost gone? His strong and brave sa’nok? Eetu could see the agitation in his son, exactly as he had felt when he experienced it. “It is why i’m always worried when you try to explore those places with those death machines. I do not want you to be hurt. I do not want you to experience such loss as I did my boy.”

Hearing such words, Na’luk climbed into his father’s lap as quickly as he could and hugged him tightly, finally understanding why his father was always so stern with him only when he would explore those areas. “Ngaytxoa sempul (Sorry father), I really just wanted to prove to you I can be brave and protect sa’nok, you and Limi. I now know that I have to be responsible.”

Eetu hugged his son back just as tightly and laughed lightly at his boy’s words, “You are young my boy, for as long as I’m there I will always protect our family. You just learn to live well and be happy, Na’luk. That’s all me and your mother want for you and Limi.”

The two continues to hug for a while before deciding to play in the water to bring about a playful mood. They play fight well into the night and they then hear you calling to them, taht dinner is done. They head back with Eetu lifting his son up, noticing how quickly the time passes by as his son is almost too big for him to hold like he did when he was a toddler.

Eetu see you mixing what he assumes is dinner in the pot, as Limi is playing with a doll crafted by Ri’nela. You feel his gaze and smile at him, happy to see your boys free from the burdens they had.

I'm 1k+ words in my So'lek series fic 'Sä’anla', I'll try to finish it by this week.

I'm also writing a oneshot Eetu fic as well because I couldn't get it out of my mind. It's almost done, I'll post it tomorrow or maybe today 👀 as its literally like 12am for me, let's see how it goes.

Also If anybody has any advice on how to write spicy scenes would be greatly appreciated! I want to incorporate it in my future fics if possible!

Avatar

Hey I've been wondering, why don't you post your fics on ao3?

Avatar

Actually now that you ask that, it's honestly never occurred to me that I can do that ! Maybe I will do it, once I see how to post on Ao3 and such.

I'm very very new to writing and I really just wanted to start somewhere with this series and hoped that it would go well. But thank you for asking !

Word count: 5.5K.

You finally reach back at the base, pumped from learning new information on how to hunt with Eetu. Your body straightens up as you notice that So’lek is back in the armory, his body tense as if he’s annoyed or angry at something, as he looks over the ammo for each gun. Your cheeks heat up remembering how he sounded jealous when you contacted him at the Aranahe clan, especially when you spoke about Eetu, you knew he must have noticed how your voice wavered while you were speaking to him, Eywa he must have been weirded out by that. You decide to avoid him for now, heading to the other hall which leads to the kitchen. Ri’nela, who you pass by, must notice the look on your face as she comes towards you as you slide down the wall with your knees tucked towards you and head in them.

“What happened Y/N? I have never seen you like this before. Last I heard you were learning to hunt from a Na’vi named Eetu.” she decides to be down and sit as well with her legs crossed. You want to confide in her about these confusing feelings that you have and that even though you met so many different Na’vi, as well as Eetu who sounded a bit flirty, that these feelings that you have inside you are only reserved for one Na’vi in particular.

So’lek.

You lift your head as you sigh and decide that confiding in her might be the best course of action. You hesitate, the words in your throat getting stuck, not wanting to bother her but at the same time these feelings you have cannot be contained, Ri’nela must have notice the conflict on your face and gives you an encouraging smile, “I have these feelings in my heart that I do not know what to do and it only happens when he is around”

Now, Ri’nela is not stupid, she can immediately tell who the ‘he’ is in this scenario. She would have to be blind not to notice the tension that occurs when you and So’lek happen to be in one place. She hums thoughtfully, “Would this ‘he’ happen to be the Na’vi that saved us from TAP?” she looks at you curiously with a knowing smile on her face as if she already knows all the answers.

You nod as your heart races just thinking about him. You decide there’s no point in hiding anything and just let everything out to her, “I do not understand these feelings that I have, I see So’lek as a very close friend, someone that I can easily trust with anything, someone I know that will be there for me in ways I cannot understand. But I have never felt this with anyone else and I just wish I knew what to do. I feel pulled indifferent directions with my heart telling me to be true to myself and express these feelings to him while my mind tells me that I have to focus on our journey to figure out what it means to be Sarentu.”, you look her  straight in the eyes, just wanting someone to guide you, “I don’t know what to do Ri’nela. I really don’t”

Ri’nela looks at you in a gentle manner, her eyes soft and understanding as she takes your hands gently, holding them to her as she explains what you have to do, “Follow your heart Y/N, always follow your heart”. Ri’nela then notices footsteps coming towards where they are and can tell that it is So’lek from the corner of her eyes. She decides to do a small test, wanting to see if what she thinks will happen, as she asks you, “How was training with Eetu ? He must have taught you all sorts of tricks as I heard he is the best Aranahe hunter in the clan.” Ri’nela notices that So’lek stops abruptly behind the wall, as if to listen to the conversation between her and you.

So’lek heard from one of the resistance members that you were back to the base and he went looking for you, his heart in a turmoil as his mind filled with thoughts of you and Eetu training. He had really hoped that he would be the one to train you, Eetu just rubbed him in the wrong way. Then there was your voice, the longing in it, for some reason just hearing it made him want to rush over and hold you in his arms and make sure you never leave. As he makes his way over to you, his mind focused on speaking with you, he can hear you and Ri’nela discussing something, he continues on his path to you, but then hears Ri’nela ask you what you thought of Eetu and for some reason he decided he wanted to hear your thoughts on him. So’lek knew that eavesdropping was bad and he didn’t want to do it to you, but he just had to know what your opinion was.

You, however, were confused by the sudden change in topic that Ri’nela brought out, you looked at her confused, your brows arched in a questioning manner but decided to just tell her what you thought of Eetu, thinking that she must be curious to know about the other clans, with her being Tashik and all, “Eetu…He’s really nice…He’s a funny character if you ask me, honestly he was really flirty when we first met, but he seems to be a good teacher. He cares a lot about his Ikran Zomey, he’s very passionate about hunting. I think I can get along with him well”, and you meant it. Eetu would also probably like a friend to you like Priya is, you noticed that you never faced the same feelings that you had for So’lek with Eetu even though he was flirty.

Just hearing your thoughts on Eetu, that you would get along well with him. "He is more cheery and adventurous.” So’lek thought bitterly, his tail swishing in agitation as a tight feeling rose up in So’lek’s chest. He did not like this, did not like it at all. He decided he’s had enough of eavesdropping on the conversation and continues on towards you a Ri’nela, his feet stomping loudly as if annoyed, his mind focused on one thing and one thing only.

You.

Your ears twitch, hearing someone heading towards you as if they are on a mission. You nervously turn towards the sound, a squeak unconsciously falling from your lips, seeing that it was So’lek heading towards you with a stern look in his eyes as they zeroed in on you, as if completely ignoring that Ri’nela, who watches in complete amusement of the situation. Your tail curling around you as your heart started beating faster, you cursed under your breath, hoping that you didn’t look like a skxawng (Moron) to So’lek with you being all nervous.

So’lek stops right in front of your sitting form, he bends down and looks at you right in the eyes, his gaze filled with some sort of determination. He sees you blink at him innocently, your gaze on him making his stomach twist in a good way. A very good way. He’s brought out of his thoughts when he hears you voice calling his name in a delicate manner, not understanding why he wants to hear you call his name again and again.

“So’lek?”, You call to him, noticing his eyes dart around your face, you become flustered under his intense gaze, wondering what has gotten him so worked up.

So’lek hums thoughtfully in reply, finally as if coming to a decision in his mind, he opens his mouth, his next words coming as if a command, but not the forceful kind. “Sarentu, I have decided that we train from tomorrow. Learn to hunt as well as gather resources.”, his gaze sharpens again as he continues, “Eetu does not know nor see you as well as I do. I can teach you not only the bow but the gun as well. Can I expect to see you outside the base at dawn tomorrow, Sarentu?”

You were just shocked, if it hadn’t been for Ri’nela nudging you at your side, you would have continued to stare at So’lek like a skxawng (Moron). You break out of your thought, which becomes quickly filled with his words that repeat in your mind over and over, ‘He does not know you nor see you as I do’. You thought to yourself while your stomach fluttered, “What does he mean by that?”. Finally deciding to say something, your words come out in a rush, “Y-Yes ! I will be there, you can expect me, I won’t be late”, just hearing yourself you wanted to cringe, Eywa why were you like this. Why couldn’t you have sounded more calm and collected in front of So’lek.

So’lek looked closely at your face, his face became less stern as if seeing something that satisfied him. So’lek nodded at you and gave a nod to Ri’nela, though it seemed more like an afterthought and got back up to head back to the armory to continue his work. You, on the other hand, was left staring at his back in shock and even as he left your line of sight, you continued to do so. Your tail betrays you by moving in excitement at the prospect of being alone with him during training.

Ri’nela can only chuckle at the scene that unfolded before her. Happy that one of the youngest in the Sarentu clan might have found their someone. She could only hope that everything will go well with you two and that you both follow your hearts. Ri’nela chuckles again because she can tell that you two might dance around each other before owning up to anything. Her final thought comes to the front of her mind before she leaves to do her own thing.

This will be fun. I can’t wait to tell Nor and Teylan about this.

It’s the next morning and you’re up early, more like you were too anxious and nervous to fall asleep tossing and turning, thinking about the training that you’ll have with So’lek. What did he mean by that ? That he saw you ? Does the Na’vi’s phrase ‘I see you’ not mean I see your soul ? That they see you in your entirety ? With such questioning thoughts in your head, it’s no wonder you didn’t get any sleep. You had been inside the base for the night, deciding to lay on one of those comfy pillows nest stewed about.

Although you were up early, getting ready for the training and heading out seemed to be a big task. Even though you had taken out many of the RDA, You wanted to be confident and reliable for So’lek. You sigh, your tail curling around your feet as you are crouched, arranging the nest back together, deciding that there’s no point in stalling around any longer. You get up, take your bow and arrows where you had hung them on one of the notches around the base and head to the door that leads to the outside, from the front of the base.

While you had been internally panicking and stalling for time before heading out for training, So'lek was already outside the base, leaning on the edge of the walls of the door to the front of the Resistance base, his thoughts for once were so jumbled, he could not seem to think straight nor make any sense of it. He said that the Sarentu would have to learn on her own, even told her that the way to learn and be a Na’vi is to explore Pandora on her own and build her experiences and yet here he is, getting ready to teach her all and make sure she knows everything, just because he did not like that Eetu tried to do it.

So’lek sighs praying to the Great Mother for strength in this path he has chosen for himself, to help him understand his feelings. He has decided he will not ignore these feelings but at the same time, he needs to see how it is with the Sarentu before deciding anything more. It has been a long time that any such thoughts where there could be a possibility of something more with another have occurred and even then, they have not been to this degree where he feels he would be swallowed by it.

Some time has passed and So’lek moves from his spot of leaning on the base and slowly looks around, worried that the Sarentu hasn't yet arrived for the training, thinking that maybe she was hurt from learning with Eetu yesterday or that she is not well and could not get up. Cursing to himself, that he should have checked on her instead feeling heated and jealous over some Na’vi yesterday.

So’lek decides to head into the base quickly, only for a delicate and slightly smaller body to collide with him, as he turns to the base door. So’lek wishes that he could hate the way that he can recognise who it is instantly, not just by the feel of your body on his but even the sweet scent that always seems to emanate from  you, his hands immediately raise to steady the Sarentu by holding your arms gently.

Your hands land on So’lek’s firm and broad chest for steadying yourself and you instantly gaze up at him, your face close to his, you could feel his heartbeat slowly beating faster by the minute as you blink innocently at him in shock. You can feel your own heart start to beat too quickly as well for your taste, making you feel embarrassed that So’lek could possibly hear it thundering as well.

So’lek cannot deny that the Sarentu was very attractive, with her body so close to his like this, her scent more prominent due to the proximity. His yellow eyes flickered to her lips, they looked even more soft and plumped up close than he thought previously , as her mouth was opened slightly in shock, her face so innocent causing unsavory thoughts to rise up, he just wanted to bit- he immediately pushed those thoughts down, shocked and slightly frightened at the images formed in his mind with her.

So’lek tried to calm his breathing which became slightly labored due to his thoughts and decided to just focus on you and the training for now. That he would get back to those thoughts at a later time when no one else would be there.

So’lek brought you closer to his body in a gentle manner, checking over you to see if you had been injured. “Are you alright, Sarentu? Forgive me, I must not have heard the door opening as I was lost deep in my thoughts.” His gaze only made you flustered as you meek out a simple “Sran (Yes).” Your eyes unable to focus on anything other than him.

You just nodded, still reeling from the shock of being so close to So’lek, that it almost felt as if your hearts were connected through contact. So’lek confirmed that you were fine before he stepped back, wanting to put some distance between you two before he did something stupid too early. Whatever he decides to do, he has decided that it would be done at the right time.

Both you and So’lek, head over to a nearby empty patch of the forest to practice your aim. It seems So’lek has collected some materials to be moving targets as well as selecting a place where a few plants of shelter fruit. You look around, taking in your surroundings as So’lek observes you, thinking about how you look at Pandora with such happiness and how you adapt so well to learning the Na’vi way. He calls out to you to start the training. You head over to him as he squats down, you do so as well looking at him curiously.

“Before we start our training, Sarentu, I shall tell you few things about gathering materials for your weapons and clothes. Ingredients for food.” So’lek decides to list out a few important basics for you to know. “Shelter Fruit requires a gentle tug to be pulled. It is best to be collected in the daytime and when it is raining. Fortune Fruit needs to be opened up before collecting it. Fortune fruit comes from the Fortune Leaf Cane. It would be difficult to get without an Ikran. They would make great ingredients with the meat that you collect from the hunt. They would be in best condition once we remove the RDA posts” You mentally note all of this, making sure to concentrate on every word. This would help in your survival out in Pandora.

“From the Night Tree Leaf you can collect the stems to make extraordinary bows. They are best during the night and when it rains.” So’lek gives you a gentle and firm look before continuing, “bring me them, and I shall make a bow for you that shall help you in your journey.” You blush at the thought of So’lek making a bow specifically for you. It felt rather intimate, but you didn’t mind one bit of it. “I’ll be on the lookout for it then.” You give him a confident smile to show him that you can do it.

So’lek nods before standing up, his hands subconsciously taking yours to pull you up.  You stiffen up, not in an uncomfortable way but more like you don’t want him to take his hands away. It seems he doesn’t notice as he heads over to a few of the targets lying about which he had bought and places them in different locations.

He gestures to you to take out your bow and notch your arrow, as he comes closer to you. You make a stance as you did with Eetu when practicing with him, pulling back your arrow as you wait for So’lek’s signal. Finally when So’lek comes close to you, he circles around you, stopping at your back while observing your stance, and clicks his tongue against the roof of his mouth, as if dissatisfied. You tense up, feeling nervous that you made a mistake and also that you couldn’t see him. But So’lek wasn’t dissatisfied with you. No, not you. It was mostly at Eetu, thinking that with his cockiness, he might not have noticed the minute details.

So’lek comes closer as his chest presses up against your back, you take in a sharp breath as his arms circle round you, his hands press your abdomen, “mì Syeha si (Breathe in) when you pull the arrow back, Sarentu” His deep voice close to you as his lips caresses your ears, not fully touching. He pulls back as you let out a small shaky breath, not being ready for such a thing.

So’lek comes back in front of you as you follow his advice of breathing in and pulling back your arrow. He nods and looks over you again, you focus on the target ahead of you, because if you look at So’lek, you will lose all rhyme and reason.

So’lek seems to notice something and comes closer to your front, adjusting your arm which is holding the bow to the side of your body, to be parallel to the ground, while also adjusting the other hand as well, drawing back the string towards the anchor point, where that would be then the end of which you draw back before releasing. “Focus on their weakness, Sarentu. As you use your senses, it will be revealed to you. That is when you hit a precise shot”. He informs you, while holding onto your arms, his touch leaving a lit fire sensation, a good sensation, across your skin.

Although you know you should be paying attention to the stance that So’lek is adjusting you to be in, how can you when he stands so close, his breath fanning across your face. You decide to finally turn your head to look at him, wanting to see his expression, to see if his eyes hold this longing which you hold in you as well. As you face him, you gasp lightly at how intense his gaze on you was, your faces close to one another again, but this time with purpose.

Time seemed to standstill as you both gazed at each other. Each of you confirming what you both wanted and needed to know. As So’lek saw the soft look of desire and something else on your face that something shall not be named for now, he thought to himself ‘to hell with it’ as the humans would say, his face slowly leaning in close to you. You started subconsciously leaning in close as well, your heart thundering in your chest. It felt like there was some connection that drew you both close, not just in mind but in the heart as well.

Just as your lips would touch his, the static from So’lek’s radio starts up with Priya’s groggy voice informing So’lek that Alma wanted to see him about some plans and then Priya cheekily added that she wanted So’lek to ask you to come find her as she wanted to see you and have some breakfast together.

This makes you and So’lek quickly pull back from each other. Both of you felt too flustered and unable to look at one another in the eye after the moment passed. So'lek picks up his radio answers back in a gruff voice, as if strained from holding something back, that he would be there and that he would bring you back as well. You just fiddle with your bow, while internally your mind screams both in happiness that the moment stopped there for now and disappointment that the moment had stopped. You, being unable to make up your mind on focusing on one emotion.

So’lek finishes up the call, his hand coming up to his face to pinch his brow in frustration, while facing the same problem as you are with also feeling slightly angry that he couldn’t control himself looking away and started grumbling as he starts heading over to check on his bow with his cheeks tinted purple.

You see the look on So’lek’s face, even though after confirming previously from his expression about the longing for you, you can tell that So’lek is as affected as you are from this moment. This makes you look away, secretly smiling widely, while a warm giddy feeling arises in your chest.

Training at dawn is a wonderful way to start the day.

You head out to hunt after training with So’lek, feeling much more confident in your abilities now after training with him. After that incident, So’lek finished his meet up with Alma as you finished up with Priya. He came back to teach you more, but decided to keep some distance with his body tensed as he directed you. You too were able to concentrate and hit all the targets placed by So’lek.

Hence, right after the training you decide to hunt and ask Nefika to teach you how to use these gifts. As you tread through the forest at a quick pace, you can sense with your Na’vi senses that there were a couple of Strumbeasts feeding nearby.

You slowly approach them and stop at a suitable distance, making sure to keep your footsteps light. You focus your gaze on them as you straighten your back to take out your bow,  breathe in and draw the arrow in a quick and smooth motion, using your sense to track the weak spot, which happened to be on the side of the neck of the Strumbeast. You breathe out as you release your bow, your arrow hitting true, in a clean manner.

The other Strumbeast runs away in fear feeling it’s fellow strumbeast fall, you approach the fallen one and bend down. Remembering Eetu’s word, you give your thanks to it as you motion your hands as if sending the Strumbeast off, “I See you. Your Spirit goes to Eywa and your body stays to become part of the people. Thank you for these gifts.” You collect the hide and meat, which seem to be in excellent condition. You also remember Eetu telling you that Nefika will show you what to do with the gifts. You take the gifts and set out towards the Aranahe clan. Hoping this time you would be able to speak with Ka’nat about joining the Resistance in your fight against the RDA if possible.

It takes you a while, but you arrive at the Aranahe clan as quickly as you could, you look around for Nefika and see that she seems to be arguing with Relun. You snort, finding their interaction to be funny. As you approach them you can hear Relun’s voice arguing loudly. “Yes, here I go! Come to look down your nose at me, have you?”

“Now, now. You know how I love your food. But I stand by what I said before. It is not exactly art, is it?”

“I swear to you, one bite of Yovo grilled in Sari seeds and you will be begging for more!”

You don’t want to interrupt them but you really want to keep the gifts fresh as it is, especially the meat. You call out to Relun, “I…have some meat from my hunt? Nefika said you-” Relun turns to Nefika with a frown on his face as he addresses her about you, “You sent this forlorn miscreant to bother me? Everything is a joke, as usual.” He didn’t even hear you out before deciding that you were playing a joke on him!

“Well she said you’re the best cook.” You decide to say in a sweet manner to him, hoping that by complimenting him you can calm the situation down. Nefika laughs at this, “Ah, the child knows how to charm!”

“And honesty from you, Nefika!” Relun continues. He shakes his head and looks at you in an exasperated manner, as if he was already used to these kinds of situations, “I suppose that is typical of her tactics. She thinks flattery will get her everywhere.”

Nefika just dismisses him and calls you over to her, “Come, come. Leave this grump for later! Now we move onto more serious arts. She leads you over to another section of the hometree, which seems to have a workbench. You decide to ask a question that has been bothering you for a while regarding the Hometree.

“Is there something wrong with your Hometree? Etuwa said it suffers…”

“Ah, the Kinglor are uneasy. We have provided for them since their flowers are closed, but…Their numbers are too many” Nefika sighs as she looks away for a moment “Ka’nat would prefer Etuwa to focus all her energies on them.” She then looks at you with a gentle and motherly smile, thinking about Etuwa “But, I think that child does her best.”

Nefika then gains back her vigor, her fiery gaze turns to you, as if fired up by something, “Now! Pay attention. Ka’nat should see you still have some Na’vi skill. And I should like to see it myself” She points to the beautiful woven workbench and watches you carefully with a smile as you approach the workbench with some apprehension and excitement.

You take a breath in and breathe out, trying to calm your nerves and create something that would knock the air out of Ka’nat and Nefika. Being a Na’vi was an important aspect, not just to them but to you as well. You could and you would not mess this up. You create some simple attire, a chest guard, a waistcloth and an armguard, which seems to be in great condition with the materials you have brought to be in great condition as well.

As Nefika watches from the sidelines, she looks impressed by your crafting and places a hand on your shoulder, “Good. Now show Ka’nat how you have mixed the colors with our own. Just as your people once did.” She must see the nervousness in your face at that, and turns you around to face her, one of her hands placed on your head in comfort. It has been a very long time that someone has ever done that for you. Her voice soft and motherly as she says, “Do not be afraid of him. His bark worse than his bite. I will follow shortly”

You nod at her, and head up the Hometree to find Ka’nat. His ear twitches as he hears your footsteps and turns around to face you, he looks over you, assessing you just as he did when you first arrived at the HomeTree, He nods in appreciation as Nefika comes up behind him, a silent support to you, “Nefika has had her way. Now you look more like the Sarentu we remember.” He places a hand on chest, his eyes filled with understanding and sorrow, “The loss of your people pains us. We valued their counsel. But, we know you are not here to offer their wisdom.”

You decide now is as good a time as any to convince Ka’nat about the ongoing havoc that the RDA are causing and hope that he would help in the fight, “The Sky People…The Resistance fights them, but they cannot do it alone.” You plead your case with him.

Ka’nat seems greatly disappointed by your words, His face pulled in a frown, his voice raising as he speaks, “This is why you have come? You stand in the heart of our Hometree. It’s warm embrace. Even you, lost one, must feel it.” You can understand him as well as not at the same time. You do not remember how you lost your clan, having been taken as a small child, you have forgotten everything. It is why this fight is necessary, so that more do not suffer. He continues as his voice sounds pained, “And you ask me to bring war here? No” Nefika looks on in worry at Ka’nat’s dismissal.

“They bring war with them! Please…” You try once more, pleading with all your heart to Ka’nat. If he does not do anything, the Kinglor will suffer, the Aranahe clan will suffer greater loss than ever. But Ka’nat is not convinced, “We Aranahe do not seek conflict. And yet, you goad us, desperate for a fight.”

Desperate for a fight ? You ? You who had only ever wanted to live with your family and friends in peace. You do not understand how Ka’nat can come to such a conclusion. Is it because of the loss of his mate? That he cannot lose anyone else now because of it.

Ka’nat looks at you in a serious manner as he asks, “Do you remember your family?” You do not remember much of your father, but you knew he was the jokester of the family, always making everyone laugh or smile, your mother just as cheerful and full of life, her smile always calmed you and your sister, the ever brave and strong-willed, who you always looked up to.

You wish you could say that you knew, that you had strong memories with them but all you could say was the truth, your voice deflated, “A little. My mother…her smile. Her warmth.” You wished you could be curled by her side once more.

Ka’nat presses on, his voice strained with sorrow and anger, “Did you see her die? Did she smile at you then, helpless, desperate to reassure you? Have you seen Eywa’s light leave someone you love?” ‘yes so stop it’ you think. If he goes on like this, you’ll remember that day. The day your sister left you. ‘Please stop…Aha’ri come back’ You think as tears gather in your eyes, but you refuse to let them go. Ka’nat breathes heavily, his gaze intense, before leaving the area without a word.

Nefika must see your face frown in saddness, her tone taking on a joking manner in order to cheer you up, “Well, you certainly made an impression. Ka’nat is not really rattled. Be careful, ma’yawntu.”

“I wasn’t trying to anger him.” you try to sound strong, but it comes out shaky and like a child who is scared, you look down. Nefika comes closer, and lifts your chin with her hand, her voice gentle and cheery, “Keep your chin up. Pay a visit to the very top of our tree. Our tsahik is back” She points up as she urges you to run along. You smile at her in gratefulness, thankful that the older woman is the way that she is.

You take a deep shuddering breath in and hike up to the top of the Hometree. As you go up, the thought of failing the Resistance, the Sarentu clan and So’lek, makes your determination come back stronger.

You will not give up, no matter what.

Hi guys ! Sorry for not posting the next chap for my So'lek fic, 'Sä’anla'. But I'm kinda in a predicament. My doctor has literally told me to stay home and take complete rest cause my health was and is really bad. So I probably won't post anything for the next week. I'm so sad that I haven't been able to play for a while and stuff.

But good news is that I have started on the chap and maybe will work through the week cause I do want to get it done.

One thing I can say though is that this series will probably be really long, because I want it to be like a retelling of the game, but with a added romance with So'lek and some more interactive relationships with other characters.

Aranahe

So’lek x Sarentu!Reader

Summary for this part: Etuwa, the tsahik of the Aranahe clan has invited you to her Hometree. You are determined to convince her father, the olo’eyktan, Ka’nat, to join the Resistance to fight against the RDA. But it seems to be a tough hill to climb. No worries, it seems you have gained a teacher for hunting.

Word count: 5K

A/N: I'm really sorry it took so long to post this part, I was sick for a week and half where I couldn't even get out of bed and go to work. Then when I finally got back to working, I got a big project to handle. I thought of posting this over the weekend. But I'll need to rest for a bit as my doctor told me, so I'll try my best to work on the next part as well!

Although you were excited that Etuwa asked you to come by her Hometree, you felt the need to recharge yourself and head out with proper equipment and restock on your supplies. You decide the best thing to do is to head back to the base for now and possibly leave in a day or two for the Aranahe clan.

You also want to check up on the rest of the team and see how they're doing and reassure Priya, who has been contacting you through your radio, that you are indeed fine, albeit with a few bruises here and there, nothing much to worry about compared to the Resistance members that were hurt during the attack at the research field lab.

You can finally see the familiar sight of the base in the distance as you travel back, a sigh of relief escaping you, although the base is a bit cramped for Na’vis, it has become a safe haven to you throughout these times. However, you do not want to think about the other reason or Na’vi in this case of why you find the base calming. You sigh again, these thoughts about So’lek consuming you out of nowhere. You wonder if these thoughts about him are because he is a new member to your band of Na’vi, those who you have known your whole life or is this feeling and thoughts something more that you cannot describe.

You’re brought out of your thoughts when you hear the airlock door open with a hiss and head inside the base after waiting for the second door to open as well. Your head turns to look around for the bubbly human you have come to adore. You notice that a certain Na’vi is missing. So’lek must be finishing up some loose ends and is probably the reason why he’s not back yet.

You finally hear her voice near the comms as she seems to be explaining something excitedly to Anqa again, who looks to be back from her mission out in the field labs. Her hands move animatedly as she explains and she must see you in the corner of her eyes because the next thing you hear from her is, “Y/N!”.

You grin as you head over to Priya, smiling at Anqa as well, who smiles back at you and claims she has some work and heads out. You turn to look at Priya who seems to have a suspicious wide grin, as if she’s being mischievous and hiding something. You look at her curiously before deciding to ignore it for now. “Hi Priya, I got rid of the bad guys just like I said I would”. You state proudly.

“Thank you so much Y/N! Honestly I was worried that we wouldn’t get there in time but you really did save them, Alma and So’lek told me you fought really hard and amazingly!” priya tells you as you bend down to speak to her at equal eye level. You smile, feeling happy that Alma and especially So’lek were praising you for the job you did. However, before you could get any word in, Priya gasps, “Wait! I wanted to ask, are you hurt anywhere ? Do you need me anything to help you ? I see you have bruises, Oh god I’m gonna tell the medic team, you should really rest up !”

You stare at her in surprise, not sure what to say about all that but you know that you have to stop her from worrying again. You place a hand on her shoulder smiling gently, explaining to her in a calm manner, “I’m alright Priya, I promise. I made sure to take a Dapophet plant after the fight and don’t worry I will rest up.” You giggle at the relief in her face and continue, your heart warm from a human caring about you. You were always treated like freaks at TAP, “Thank you for worrying about me Priya, you are a really good friend”.

Priya grins at that, however it seems to be that mischievous grin again and lets out a secret that was supposed to be kept a secret, but Priya decided that playing matchmaker might be fun, “So’lek sounded really worried about you know? He radioed me and basically asked me to check up on you which I was already gonna do because we’re friends and that’s what friends do, but that’s like the first time he’s asked something like that, like ever! I also tried to ask him what’s going on-”. You don’t seem to hear the last of her sentence because you feel like your heart wants to jump out of your chest with how much it’s beating, your cheeks heat up again for honestly the nth time, So’lek being the main cause of all this.

To hear that he was worried for you and asked about you to Priya, who says that this kind of thing is a first for him? Your thoughts about him were already jumbled and yet here he does again with him not even being present! So’lek’s words were repeating in your head and even Priya can notice for the first time that you’re not listening to her and she just giggles feeling like she completed an important mission. If she thinks this is going the way it’s going, then she hopes that she can be the first one to say to So’lek something like I told you so.

“I think I will rest Priya, I will head out to the Aranhe clan in a day or two. Irayo (Thanks) for checking on me”, You say to her before you head out of the base, Priya waves a bye at you in response with a knowing smile and goes back to her work. You decide to head to the campfire under one of the base tunnels, where you figure that it would be a good place to rest up and you were also hoping to avoid So’lek as well, just so that you can clear your head for a bit.

As you rush out of the base to head to the campfire underneath it, your mind is swirling with thoughts on what Priya said again, sighing, you decide to remove your gear and eat a Rich Meat Roast. After all the fighting you definitely feel famished and exhausted. Maybe tomorrow you can talk with Nor again and see how he feels. You also feel like you need to talk to Teylan, you haven’t spoken to him much once you reached the base, maybe you can ask him some questions on tech the humans use, he usually gets so excited about them even though you much prefer the NA’vi way. Though some of the human contraptions do have their benefits

Although Teylan is not your brother by blood, you worry so much over him, not only with his fascination with human tech but also over the radio that Mercer gave to him. It seems that no matter what, Mercer would have some control over that boy, your little brother. You wish you could purge his mind about any fears of Pandora, of being a Na’vi. Maybe one day you and So’lek can talk with him

There you go again thinking about him, you sigh and just lay down, forcing your mind to just empty and sleep. You try to remember your sister humming the song of your people and it seems sleep comes to you at that moment, with one thought left before you do.

‘You would have loved Pandora Aha’ri’

It’s been two days, you have finally rested and restocked all the materials you would need on your journey to the Aranahe clan. You feel nervous, you are so used to the Humans and So’lek at the resistance, that meeting Na’vi out in Pandora was something else. But it also lit a fire of excitement and determination in you, you hope to get them on your side in fighting the RDA for Pandora.

You gave farewell to your friends at the base and set out. It took you awhile to get there on foot, but you managed to get there without encountering much predators. As you were passing by you noticed, 3 Na’vi crouched and talking to each other, they looked at you in shock and started whispering furiously

“Is that…That looks like a Sarentu?”

“A Sarentu? The lost clan?”

“Look at the mark!”

“It must be something else. The Sarentu are long gone.”

“Ka’nat will want to know about this’

“Let them pass. Hometree’s scouts will see them soon enough.”

You hurry along, not sure what to feel from the encounter. It seems the shock of meeting a Sarentu might be the highlight of many of the Na’vi people. You can only hope that it is with Joy that your clan has been back to the people. You finally reach what seems like  the entrance to the Aranhe Hometree, there are three important looking Na’vi who look to be in a deep discussion. As you approach them closer, someone shouts from above.

“You! Stranger!” A Na’vi male comes flying down from an Ikra and lands while holding a bow aimed at you, he’s agitated as he continues talking, “I’ve not seen your kind before. What clan are you?”. One of the other female Na’vi who was having a discussion also aimed a bow at you, seeming to reply to the cautious Na’vi, “They look odd”.

Well that’s just rude.

You decide to calm them by raising your hands in a surrender manner and explain the situation as the other two who were in the back walked closer to you, “Etuwa invited me here…to see her father.” The very important and regal Na’vi comes even closer to you, his features seeming similar to Etuwa. “What’s that on your face?” one of the Na’vi aiming an arrow at your face asked you. The Na'vi, who you think might be Etuwa’s father, makes the Na’vis point their bow at you to lower their guard with a shout, “It’s the mark of a Sarentu!”

He comes even closer, slowly circling your body, his gaze looking up and down at your form with slight disdain, “and yet, the Sarentu we once knew did not defy Eywa with scraps from the Sky people”.

Ok you get his hate but this is just plain rude, It was honestly most of what you had during your time a tap and it helped you in battles. “It’s all I know.”. You wish that it was different, that you grew up with more of the Sarentu Na’vi in you, “They stole us when we were children.”

The Na’vi seem to agree with your statement with his own, “They have stolen many things. You were gone a long time. And you are young. Has your spirit been molded by the Sky people? Or do you remember the ways of your clan?” You are thankful that Nor isn’t there to hear this, because it made even you, feel doubtful of your connection to your people. Why did it hurt so much to hear such questions you did not know?

The other older female Na’vi, who has a yellow chest guard around her shoulders, looks like she’s had enough with the conversation, making hand motions of lowering and making a dismissing face to the guarded Na’vi, “Shoo, put that away”

She comes closer to you holding you by the shoulders, curiously gazing deep into your eyes, “Hmm. Sharp eyes. A Sarentu’s gaze. But yours is heavy” Her voice is gentle as she notices. She must see the pain in your eyes from the years stolen. She points to the Hometree as she holds you gently, “I am Nefika, let Hometree be a refuge from your burdens. We will put some color in your cheeks. Or clothes, at the very least.” she jokes in her last statement, making you feel lighter, you definitely like her a lot already. You can see through the corner of your eye that Ka’nat who you have determined, is still circling you.

Nefika continues as she holds your hands gently, “You will pick up the threads of your people here. Oh,How I miss their stories.” As if struck by some nostalgia, she places her hand on Ka’nat, looking at him, remembering her past with the Sarentu, She looks back at you, “They loved our Silk Harvest. The sweet smell of dye, ma’ yawntu! (loved one)

She goes quiet for a moment, thinking something over before deciding on it, she addresses the other Na’vi, “Ka’nat, let me take the Sarentu. The poor child knows nothing of our ways”.

Ka’nat looks you over again, as if deciding whether or not you are a threat to the Aranahe clan. He makes up his mind, “Go. we will speak more when you are settled.”

Nefika, The kind older Na’vi who was speaking gently to you, beckons you over to the Hometree with a smile, while the Na’vi that were cautious, lower their guards with a smile and let you in.

“I really must speak more with Etuwa’s father. About the Resistance.”  you rush to get the words out, already feeling restless, like you should be doing something more about the situation at hand.

“Later, ma’yawntu. He is our olo’eyktan, our clan’s leader. Let us clean up a bit first. You would frighten the hide off an Angtsik looking like that.” She speaks and laughs in a jovial manner.  You like her nature a lot, her words making your body relax as you both walk through the Hometree. She continues, “Besides, I would not mention those Sky people if I were you. They are nothing but trouble, and Ka’nat does not like trouble.” You finally reach the main gathering area of the Hometree, making you look at it in awe, curiously looking over the intricate weaving done in the interior and the Na’vi gathered in the area.

You focus back to the conversation with Nefika as she addresses you while guiding  you through, “Let me show you off a bit instead, hmm? Will you allow me that? It has been an age since we had a Sarentu around here. Your people certainly made life more interesting”. Her voice then lowers in wonder as she recalls an old tale, “One time, they told us a tale about the rare mating rituals of the giant Zakru. Apparently, it can take days!” her tone joking as she laughs which makes you laugh as well, the tales of your people are not only informative but hilarious as well.

As she leads you through the area many Na’vi stand up in wonder looking at you, You smile shyly and nod at them in acknowledgement, not used to the wonder and awe in anyone’s gazes. You also look over at the beautiful colors that fill their home, maybe one day you can fill your own home with it too. Maybe with Na’vi at the Resistance base. You stopped and shocked your head, ridding of the thoughts making sure they do not fill your brain, before continuing on with Nefika.

“There will be more time to listen to their tales later. Our great tree has many stories, lived many lives, hosted your ancestors as our guests before you. And there was not one Sarentu who could not resist how our dyes dance.” she laughs, beckoning you over to a younger female Na’vi, “Come, see my weavers.”

There she introduces you to Koranu, who showcases you the latest silk, though Nefika informs you that it was not strongest as it once was due to the Kinglor’s flowers being closed, but that it was still stronger than Zakeru wool even with the Zeswa clan loving to brag. It seems Koranu will be the Na’vi you go to for any weavings that need to be done.

Koranu felt relieved to have something to do other than the thing she was working on, it seemed that it was causing her a bit of stress. She was nice, you felt that she would provide the things you needed.

Nefika is delighted by the talks of the beauty of weaving, her tone appreciative, calling it a work of art. She leads you to a place that looks like the cooking area, she calls out to her friend Relun excitedly. They both seem to have a friendly banter with each other, with Nefika having her heart set on the ways of the silk and dye, while Relun says that the heart of Aranahe is taste. You giggle at their back and forth of teasing. You let Relun know that you’ll visit more to try his cooking, Relun seems happy about that.

Nefika takes you to meet one more Na’vi, who looks stern but her gaze kind, just hardened from the war perhaps, Kitangi. Nefika, talks about the grace that the Sarentu had possessed as they definitely knew how to dress. She wanted you to wear the weavings of the Aranahe, as they are strengthened with Sturmbeasts hide, that even if you are caught, she said jokingly that you would be hard to swallow.

Kitangi looks at you as if you were a baby that did not know anything, asking if you could even track and whatnot, not liking the answer you had given, asking if your ‘okay’ was enough for you. Nefika looks at Kitangi, bringing up a Na’vi’s name you do not know. “Eetu is on a hunt. I’m sure he will make a fine guide”.

Kitangi laughs at that, looking at you as if giving you a challenge, It makes you wanna prove yourself, “Indeed, if you can find him. There is a hunting camp near the water. Eetu will be there. But do not upset his hunt! He will not thank you for that”.

Nefika looks at you, her gaze gentle and teasing, shooing you on, “Go on, ma’yawntu. A respectful hunt will show Ka’nat you remember the ways of The People.”  You nod at her and head back to the gathering area of the Hometree to get your thoughts in order. There was so much you learned by just meeting so many Na’vi, you can only hope to learn much more.  Maybe this Eetu could be a great friend and teacher.

You decide to radio So’lek about the situation, feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything, knowing that his voice could soothe you, “So’lek, I made it to the Aranahe. You…weren’t wrong about them. But one of them took me in. Nefika. She thinks I can impress Ka’nat if I show him I can hunt properly”.

So’lek felt a bit annoyed that they were making you go on a hunt as the first thing, was it not enough that even though the Sarentu clan had been gone for so long, the fact that you have persevered through difficulties, especially being taken as a child by the RDA, to them ? He wished he was there to guide you. You could tell he was annoyed by the tone of his voice, “They sent you on a hunt? I should have shown you how myself”

“It’s okay. Nefika said one of their hunters might show me how. Eetu”. You replied quickly, not wanting him to feel bad. Although you would have loved to learn from So’lek itself, maybe making some friends might help you along the way on your journey.

Eetu. Eetu? The fearless, reckless and cocky hunter, Eetu, will be the one to teach you? So’lek was already annoyed, now hearing this tidbit of information just made him more frustrated. He really should have been the one to teach you how to hunt. A storm raged in his heart, a feeling he was not so quite used to ever. He felt jealous. Usually he would be able to calm down and think with a clear head, but it seems jealousy fueled his next words, “Hmm. Be careful Sarentu. You do not need to prove yourself to them. You are Sarentu, and Ka’nat should honor that. I have seen you as well Sarentu, you are nothing like those demons, you have a bleeding heart that cares and you are strong-willed. You do not need Eetu to teach you this. Do not ever think less of yourself. Come back to the HQ any time you like, all right? You are not alone. And there is much to do here”.

You think your heart might have stopped and suddenly start back out of nowhere hearing So’lek’s words. “Is this what he thought of me?”, you think to yourself, your body heating up at his tone, it sounded deep and tense. You don’t want to get ahead of yourself, but So’lek sounded jealous. He was jealous of this Eetu teaching you. You liked it.

Irayo (Thanks) So’lek…I…I will remember that. I will come back to the HQ soon after the hunt, see you there”, you could not contain the shakiness in your voice, you wish you could see his face right now, what did he look like when he heard someone else teaching you. You cut the radio off and decide to find a corner within the Aranahe Hometree, where there were not too many Na’vi to cool down. Your body is too heated from the conversation. You sigh and wonder if this is a sign of some sort from Eywa. You pray to Eywa that maybe you could get through this and figure out what is going on inside your heart.

So’lek on the other end, felt heated for two reasons, his tail for the first time after so long started twitching fast, feeling agitated by what he heard. He had been out of the base, just scouting nearby the area.

One, how could Eetu be the one to teach you? He should have just told you to come back to the base and that he would have taught you himself, after all he has seen you fight. He has seen you.

Two, you voice at the end. It sounded shaky, but it felt like it was filled with something. Longing. He leans forward and rests his head against the tree and lets out a shuddering breath. Eywa was testing him. How could the great mother not, when the only thing he could ever think nowadays was of you, your curious mind and your loveable heart.

The only thing he can do for now, while waiting for you to come back to the base, is go over plans with Alma and finish off some of the RDA. He will decide what to do with you later.

You decide to leave around time the sun starts to set, wanting to grab some of the flora that are pristine during the night to collect as your resources. You have decided to block your mind of So’lek for now. Otherwise, he would be the only occupant of your mind and you had to focus for now.

As you travel through the woods, it seems many of the Aranahe are spread out, living in groups. You reach the hunting camp at last, looking around you can hear an Ikran roar, your feet decide to head towards the sound, using your Na’vi senses, you can sense an Ikran and her rider, with a successful hunt, nearby . You wonder if the rider could be Eetu. You wander over to them, your eyes gazing at the Ikran up close. Even though you saw Etuwa’s, you did not get enough time to study her Ikran during the fight with the RDA.

The Na’vi, who could be Eetu, twitches his ears as he hears you come closer and stands up to greet you. You could not see it, but Eetu definitely felt shocked to see a Sarentu, having heard his family talk about the clan and their distinctive mark. He decides to hear you out. Not expecting the next words to come out of your mouth.

“Your Ikran is beautiful”, You are in awe of the rider’s ikran, she truly was beautiful. Eetu felt happy and proud hearing such words, as his Ikan is a part of him, just as he is a part of her, he decides he can boast a bit, “My Zomey. For her, no wind is too strong, no challenge too great. We hunt with heart, in harmony”. He smirks as he bows a bit, as his voice turns flirty and cocky as he continues, “Are you here to admire us? I would not fault you for that”.

You blush at that, more so surprised at his boldness than feeling shy. Not so used to anyone being this forward with you, you just laugh nervously and decide to let the Na’vi know that you are searching for someone, “No, I…I-I’m looking for Eetu.”

Eetu’s eyes brighten even more if possible as he grins, “My name has reached other clans! Even lost ones” his gaze on you mark as he utters the last line. Eetu’s voice turns teasing, chuckling as he rolls his eyes and asks, “Let me guess, Nefika sent you to me? She wants me to teach. Boring, I say! To be safe at Hometree telling the little ones of hunts, of adventure?” his voice turns slightly serious as he continues, “They would not understand. What does danger mean to those who have only known safety? Zomey and I tear through the skies  together, our hearts pounding. Our senses on fire. That rush makes us strong. Fearless! The best hunters”.

You are moved by Eetu’s words, to have such a bond with someone must be the greatest thing on Pandora. You could only imagine what it must feel like. Though he sounds reckless, you could tell his heart was in the right place. He would definitely make a great friend. “Nefika did say you were hunting sturmbeast. Can I join?” You ask him, hoping he would say yes.

Eetu hums, “Is that what you are after? Are you a good hunter?”, his eyes roam over you, judging whether you are a good hunter or not. His own senses tell him what he needs to know. You had the strength and heart, just not the technique.

You falter, hearing Eetu ask. Feeling a bit ashamed at never learning how, you then remember something, “Do not ever think less of yourself”. So’lek’s words give you the strength you need. You straighten up and reply, “I was never taught how, but I’m willing to learn no matter what”.

Eetu looks at you in disbelief, what do you mean you were never taught how? “Never taught how? What have your people been doing all these years? Did you find a land without hunting? A place where creatures lay down to die willingly?”, his words may seem rude, but you could tell he was just teasing you, you roll your eyes and smile, you could already tell he will be a fun and troublesome friend. His demeanor turns serious and gentle as he points to what seems like some sort of practice area, “See there? Young hunters practice on targets first. Practice. Or it will be the sturmbeast hunting you!”

Eetu gives you a bow, however this bow seems different compared to the bow that So’lek had given you. He tells you that it is a Heavy bow, meant to aim for far targets and their weak spots. You position yourself as you lift the bow and aim at the target, your body tense as you focus only on the target. Eetu sees you tensing and comes close, using his hands to place your hands where they need to be, he was quite close while doing so. Once he finds your stance satisfactory, he steps back. You let the arrow fly, your aim hitting true.

Eetu hums and jokingly says, “You can hit a static target at least. Come”, He takes you back to where you were before. “Not bad. At least your thanks will have meaning” he praises you, sensing the potential within you.

You are confused. What did he mean by that? You gaze at him in question, “My thanks?”.

Eetu chuckles thinking you are joking, but then he sees that you really are confused, his voice cannot hide the disbelief as he questions you, “Are you serious? What have your people been doing? What kind of life have you lived?”

“A terrible one”, you reply in your thoughts, while you reply something else to him, “It’s…a long story”.

“If I wanted to hear a long story I would be at home”. Eetu looks at you, making sure that you listen to his advice carefully, “Each time you hunt, you must take a life. And so you must thank your sister or brother for their gifts as they return to the Great Mother.” He decides to demonstrate how to do it, his body bending down at his hunt, moving a hand over it, while saying the words, “I See you. Your spirit goes to Eywa and your body stays to become part of the people. Thank you for these gifts”

Eetu gets up and looks at you, his gaze and words trying to convey how important this was, “This way, you let her ascend to the ancestors. Remember that. And do not waste the gifts you receive”.

You try to imprint the words bestowed by Eetu in your mind. If you want to be a true Na’vi, this is the way. But you were confused what gifts meant. “The gifts. Right.” You try to say it convincingly. Eetu just shakes his head at you exasperatedly, “The hide, the meat. Ah! Nefika will show you. Go on. You do not need me to hold your hand.” Eetu shoos you away.

You grin and decide to head out, feeling like heading back to the base first to meet a certain Na’vi then testing out your skills to hunt. “Thanks Eetu, you are a good teacher I suppose, but time will tell” you joke a bit with him. Eetu laughs, “and you might make a good friend and student,  Eylanay (acquaintance)

You nod at him as you turn to leave, your pace turning quick at the thought of heading back to the base. It wasn’t because of him, you were probably just tired. Well whatever it was you could deal with it when the time comes.

You hope to make lots of friends as time goes on.
