Early morning class VS late afternoon study session
10•01•23// attempted to get a bunch of my reading done but I ended up cleaning up the Christmas decor, cleaning the kitchen, repotting plants and doing laundry ✨
I did get some reading done but I do tend to default to literally anything else when I should be studying 😅☕️
Bye Bye 2022
Don't stop untill you're proud.
Grabbed coffee before my test and a couple macarons too
[15/10/15] Had an after-school study session with my friends today, which was really nice (:
frost in my hometown
Tuesday, the 27th of December
Yesterday we drove all the way up to a tiny Danish island where we'll be staying until 2023. We live out the rest of the year in this beautiful wooden house with a fireplace, lots of art and candles. My dog is always happiest here. After a hot shower and breakfast we'll set off looking for amber and any other ocean treasures the waves might have carried to shore.
Studying
- Study Russian
Read Requiem- Plan the january assignments
- Mediävistik lecture
Reading
War and Peace by Leo Tolstoy, Requiem by Frances Itani
Self Care

Today was a sit in the office day. Did some marking and reading and I did pop into the lab now and again to get some things moving. Slow going but progress is progress.

November 2, 2022 - Wednesday | Fall challenges 23/30 + 19/30
4 classes today, started sorting thru the pile of exams I have to grade, and then argued with my mom, was sad, played genshin, made gifs, and updated online assignments for my students. Man this semester I really tried not to have piles of stuff to grade and was doing so well but here I am, once again🎶✨
📣 Praise yourself with at least two sentences 🤧 you caught me on a difficult day where it’s hard to think of things. Uhmmm I make pretty art sometimes… I’m also very creative and always have a lot of ideas 🙈
🍵 How to calm nerves during exam season getting enough sleep is rlly the #1 top tip to remaining calm, making a study sheet for each exam and having the sheet in case I think of something and panic abt not knowing it, not thinking / talking about an exam at all after it’s done especially if u have other exams afterward.

Today I spent the whole morning with my best friend who came back home for the holidays. We met over breakfast and had a lovely time catching up. I really hope we can make the best of the time she will be here. On another note I am considering dnf-ing The Secret Life Of Trees, it's super interesting but I am hating the way it's written. I really have no idea what to do.
Productivity:
- Posted this introduction to my journaling 101 series of posts that will come out newt week
- Continued reading Baptism Of Fire by Andrzej Sapkowski (I have finally found the rightht combo to not get stuck with this books, and it is to read the book while listening to the audiobook, plus writing down a few notes at the end of each chapter in order to keep track of the important informations that are given. I am pretty sure I'll be finishing before the end of the year, but I am not sure if I'll manage to squeeze in some other book before 2023)
- Practiced Irish on duolingo
Self care:
- Read first thing in the morning
- Spent the morning with my best friend
- Chilled under a blanket reading for most of the afternoon
The best place to read?
It depends on lots of things. I like to create a cozy space for myself when I can with a fairer light, and a warm blanket, and that can either be on my bed, or in the early mornings in the kitchen when I'm alone. We also have a super comfortable reading chair, but I usually sit there reading when there's no one in the house, or else I's get pretty distracted. I like to switch up as much as I can tho. In the summer I also love to read in my garden, I often study there too and it's amazing. One thing I have never done but I'd love to do is to go to a random field nearby and just read there in the summer, I don't know why I never did that, but I'd love to do it next year.
LEONARDO DA VINCI, Grand Staircase, Château de Chambord La Rouchefoucauld, France, 1519
i had a lovely saturday! completely switched off from all work and research related things, cleaned my house, bought a book and some art prints — mondrian, naturally — bought a new cup, and started crossroads, the only thing i have left to read in my franzen plan for the year
