          teeth clamp down on her lower lip as she suppresses a smile.   trini?   get mad at her?   she’d have to try really hard and she thanks her lucky stars for that because sometimes she acts and then thinks.

          always finds herself leaning into that touch,  eyes closed,  so she can truly take it all in – her scent,  the way her skin feels against her own,  and the sound of her voice.   eyes stay closed and she instinctively leans in until their lips meet and she’s swept away in a gentle kiss.

          and then it’s over and she’s blushing because she’s her everything.   her everything.   she’s hardly ever been anyone’s anything before.   ❛ don’t you dare take that back,  it’s not stupid. ❜   she reaches up to let her hand cover trini’s and her eyes are open now,  gazing into the other girl’s.   she stays like that,  quiet,  for a long time before she speaks again.   ❛ i love you. ❜

          and just like that it’s out there.   she can’t take it back and even if she could she wouldn’t,  not for anything.   her heart feels fuller than it ever has and sure the team contributes to it but if not for this girl?   she’d still be lacking something.

❛  i suppose you do.  ❜     almost approving of it.  it is certainly working for the power ranger.  not necessarily a bad thing  ,    either  ,    if done right.  perhaps bruce owns it in his own way too.  personalities are oft amplified when in the spotlight.

though that is an unexpected question  ,    one that gives the amazon pause for a moment.  had not given it much thought  ,    didn’t have much time to.     ❛  no reason.  but it is unfortunate that there are not other women in the team.  i would not be opposed to them  ,    in fact  ,    i would welcome it.  ❜     the justice league is a relatively new thing.  first learning the crawl and walk before they can run.  early days yet.     ❛  why    ––– –    thinking of joining  ?  ❜

          a brow arches but a smile tugs onto her face. oh so it was gonna be like that huh? “well now you didn’t let me finish.” she wraps her arms around the other too, pulls her in closer so their waists and hips are pressed together. “this power ranger thing is the best thing that’s ever happened to me because it brought me to you.” turn up the cheesiness dial, crank it all the way up.

          “and we both know i wouldn’t be here without you.” a little more seriousness to the tone, because while she’s still feeling lighthearted she doesn’t want the gravity of that statement to get lost. she leans forward, presses a soft, lingering kiss against a warm forehead and sighs. “you’re my best friend, and then some.”

❛ Hmm, interesting. ❜ Caitlin was intrigued by the whole situation. She’s sure that Cisco would be be over the moon to witness the transformation. ❛  does it make you weak or are you able to able to keep going for long periods? ❜  

“Come now, you can’t say you saw me kill a man in between breaths and then thought this would be EASY,” comes the chide; oh, this is a game for her, ever still, and she’s delighting in it. She smiles, vicious at the armored girl, and spins to one side, thoughtful. 

Yeah- she’s not the regular. Too calculating, too WATCHFUL, as she lunges forward and lashes out with one leg- trying to knock the ranger’s out from under her. 

Her breathing hasn’t even sped up; this isn’t anything, not yet. 

“Might be better for you if you stand and face me!” Sing-song. It won’t. Those claws are vicious, able to carve through steel when she wants.

Caitlin watched full of curiosity as the girl shows her just how the suit appears.❛ I’ve seen a lot of odd things over the years, but never anything quite like this. ❜ There was so much they had to learn about alien technology.  ❛ It’s really strange -     it’s helpful that you can make it appear whenever you’d like. ❜ 

Skids to a halt as the other almost shapeshifts- as she gains armor, shielding that Muninn might even struggle to break past, from the look of it. A brow arches, and she half-smiles. “Fancy,” comes the comment, dry. She’s a little impressed- far from intimidated. 

Her head tilts, birdlike, and she chuckles softly- lunges again with the scream of wind in her ears. Claws out, now- less a game, more a hunt in truth. Graceful like the apex predator she is- and just as determined. It’s cat-and-mouse, now, and the mouse just got much more interesting than she’d been before. 

A skid- debates on ice, and then decides against it. Not the right moment.
