can we normalize people being able to set boundaries without others getting offended or taking it personally?  i started rping young but i didn’t start on tumblr. it was usually a 1x1 thing on a different platform with one or two people i had been talking to for a while and was comfortable with but tumblr is a whole new world where i’m sure a lot of us got started in group rp’s which is a totally different ballpark and where setting boundaries wasn’t always easy. whether your rp partner is older , younger , or the same age – allow people to set boundaries without making a big deal about it. normalize open communication. no one should be pushed to do something that they don’t want to do or manipulated into it. no one should have anxiety about shooting down a plot or a particular relationship because they’re not comfortable.
