“Are you? Mad to be a brother and perhaps share your mother?”
Len stroked the baby’s cheek. “He already knows cousins are the best. Him and Timo get on like a barn on fire”
“He loves anyone who cuddles him.”
“Yeah but Timo is so determined to be a good cousin. And he seems so relieved Helios is with us and in a safe home”
“He’s a sweet boy, and I think he felt guilty about not being able to cuddle our little mouse, even if it ultimately worked in Helios’ favor.”
Helios burbled. He recognized his name.
Len grinned down at him. “Helios! Thats you! You’re right!” He boobed the baby’s nose affectionately
The baby made a grab for his finger.
“Your daddy is going to show off his medical skills.”
“Well not too many if we are lucky” he smiled softly
“If I’m lucky, your daddy will dress in those whites I like so much. He looks so handsome.”
“Mmm no white isnt a good idea for a birth,” he chuckled. “My scrubs are maroon today. But I’m debating if it would be more appropriate to not wear the top, be more Tumerian”
“Whatever makes it easier for you to work. I will enjoy the view either way. When I’m not herding an anxious almost-three-year-old and a squeaky little mouse.”
“I have a feeling Timo will be great help with his sister.” Trhe lift stopped and they stepped off
“I realize we’re not there yet, but there seem to be a great many people looking at us,” he observed. “Has something happened?”
“Well this is the first new baby”
