Anyway, having given ChaosandMayhem the first two books for last Christmas and birthday respectively, here’s the logical sequel, which I’m glad to say she received yesterday (took a lot less long than I thought, btw, which - nice! For once someone got a present from me ahead of time :D).

To be clear, I wouldn’t do this for just anyone. Only for friends of a dozen years who have written a magnum opus that’s just about 46k shy of the total word count of The Lord of the Rings 💜

Again, Bel, I can’t thank you enough! My jaw dropped when I opened the package, and the sheer heft of the thing took me off-guard. I wrote that much--and you had to edit it all!

So I was rereading @thatsoneginger’s Machines Don’t Bleed for reasons that have absolutely nothing to do with Christmas at all, and I realised just how ridiculously long it’d been since I drew 1) Blake and 2) something with just my markers - no colouring, no fancy stuff, just plain paper, pencil and markers. Guys, it’s been so long I think my B - the one for the hair - is going grey. I did ONE drawing like that this year, and that’s it. And another reason I really need to get back to basics at some point is… well, at this point I’m like “spot blacks? what are those??” Urgh.

Anyway, Blake Porter! I like the lad a lot. What can I say, I have a soft spot for goofballs who fuck up and then step up to own their mistakes and correct them ^^
