A/N: LOL it’s been like a year since I’ve written something but it’s fine I’m back! College is rough but the semester is over! This is something short I wrote based on a video I saw on Instagram

Today was the big day. You were going to find out what the gender of the small bean that was going inside your stomach. The day you and you boyfriend Steve found our you were going to have baby, you were both beyond excited and could not wait for the day your baby arrived.

Five months later, you and Steve had decided that the best way to find out the gender of your baby was to have a gender reveal party. The thought of a gender reveal party made you beyond excited. All those Pinterest board you had created would finally come to life and you could not wait.

For the big reveal you had decided on the big balloon that when popped would shower you and Steve with the confetti that was the color of the gender. You were originally going to do a cake, but you felt as though the balloon idea was so much more fun than cake.

You decided to invite all of your family members as well as the rest of the avengers. It was a very special moment in your life and you could not wait to share it with the ones you loved.

The time finally came to do the gender reveal and everyone had gathered around you and you were ready to pop the giant balloon that you were holding “ok is everyone ready?” You asked holding the pin closer to the balloon. After hearing a chorus of “yeah”s and cheers you decided it was time to let everyone know the gender. “3..2..1..” as you reached one, you stabbed the balloon with the pin and glitter came raining down on you. That was weird? There was no confetti. You looks around and you could see that everyone else was confused too.

You looked at the floor and saw a rolled up piece of paper on the floor. Did they just write the gender on the paper? You thought as you went too pick up the paper. As you began unrolling the paper you heard gasps and quiet squeals from some of the girls which made you more confused. You read the paper and you instantly began crying. You couldn’t believe it. On the piece of paper, there was a note that read, (Y/N) I love you. Will you marry me? As soon as you read the paper you drop it and your hand go directly towards your mouth letting your tears flow freely. You slowly turn around and sure enough Steve is kneeling on one knee holding a beautiful ring up for you. You couldn’t make out any words due to the shock and excitement, so all you did was nod. It was one of the best days of your life. The only thing that was left to do was find out the gender of your baby, which reminded you.

“Hey Steve? This was amazing and all but how are we revealing the baby?”

“Oh right! One sec!” Steve said as ran into your house. Moments later he comes out with a small cake that has pink and blue question marks all over it.

“Change of plans I guess. Let’s cut this cake!” You said as everyone cheered.

Steve hands you the knife to cut it’s and places his hand on you so you can cut the cake together. “It’s a… boy!” You both say as everyone around cheer and congratulates you both.

The rest of the day was not only spent celebrating the baby boy that was on its way, but it was also spent celebrating the engagement. To you this was a day for the books. Not only did you find out that you were going to have a boy, something you and Steve had talked about since you found out you were pregnant, but you also got engaged your best friend, the guy that you had fallen for the day you met.
