Mariana was minding her own business with the pen and notebook she just found, closing it quickly when she heard her brother’s voice. The young girl looked up at Gabe with a smile on her lips.
“Yeah? What did you find? —-Did you guys have fun? Seem to spend a lot of time with her lately.” Mariana asked, later on adding the second question with a soft giggle.

Dropping down next to his sister, Gabe pulled out a small necklace pouch, fingers pressing it into the younger girls hands. She deserved it. There wasn’t much she could get anymore

“A necklace. Clem actually got it for you from a store. Yeah? She’s pretty cool,. Nice to have someone my own age around instead of you.” A small chuckle, and Gabe smiled “Open it.”

Russell rose his head slightly as his dark irises were drawn towards the younger boy’s direction. His expression remained neutral while his hold on the rifle tightened from before. Biting his lip displeased, he turned around as he took couple of slow steps forward.   Don’t care if you stick ‘round or not.. but I assure you, it’s just gonna get colder.   as he frowned, he didn’t seem to care too much about the safety of the kid. After all, he didn’t consider him to be any of his business; hell, he didn’t even know him. If some kid refused his generous help, no way he was sticking around trying to convince him to change his mind.   Recommend you find some shelter. And fast.

He’d gotten so lost. Clem and him had gotten as far away from the others as they could for a little walk, but the muertos had gotten him away from her. He didn’t care anymore, he just wanted to find somewhere that he could hold up for the night “---------- I don’t care. I just wanna get out of this weather, and something in my stomach. I got took away from someone by some of the dead.” The bloke probably didn’t care, and that was enough for him. He just needed to someone to talk to. His fingers tightened around his jacket slightly, before he bit down on his lip “do you know where anything is? I just want a place to curl up.”

’ hell yeah, man. ’ fingers wrap around the pile of comic books, gently taking them from his hands. eyes skim through them one-by-one, an APPRECIATIVE smile on her lips. ’ if you want, we can totally share these. ’

‘ there’s like 6 of them from one series there.” it was nice to have SOMEONE he could share these kind of things with. “nah, i’ve got quite a few of them. it’s no biggy.”

“gabe, i wouldn’t touch your hair with a ten-foot pole.” she teased, clearly joking. in truth she almost wanted to feel his hair, but he didn’t need to know that. she’d rather him not know she cared about him. it’d make it easier when he inevitably left her. “i was 8, too. i was, uh.. a pretty dumb kid. got people hurt.” she said, pausing before adding, “and now i purposefully kill people. not sure which is worse.”

“i wouldn’t either. it needs a good wash, but hey -- no water.” he laughed softly, fingers brushing over the fringe that hung out of his hat. it was disgusting, but hey. he couldn’t help it. he bit down on his lip gently, cheeks burning the soft shade of red before he smiled “ being a dumb kid, getting people killed is totally worse.” he muttered, shrugging his shoulders “end of the world is complete shit.”

@littleemotional liked this for a starter!

It was absolutely horrible, what happened to that little girl. The sister of the boy who was now clearly mourning for  her. Sarah hadn’t been there when it had all gone down,  but the news had been given to her by Clementine, and  despite hardly knowing Mariana, she’d felt a bit saddened  by her death.

Maybe Sarah should try to talk to Gabe? Even now, she  wasn’t that good at consoling people, but she wanted to  try. She would feel horrible about leaving someone to  mourn all by themselves, especially when, in those first  days all alone, it happened to her.

Gabe?”

She took a couple of small, hesitant steps forward. She’d  been yelled at by her fair share of people by now, and hoped  that it wouldn’t happen again.

I’m really, really sorry about Mariana…

How was it that his whole life could just fall apart at that moment? That the one thing still keeping him sane was now gone? Gabe was heartbroken, as Mariana’s body had finally been recovered. He hadn’t really had a chance to say goodbye, and that hurt. It hurt way too much for him to comprehend at that point.

He wasn’t going to shout, in fact. All he really wanted to do was sit by himself, but the company would do him good. It would be worth it, really. He wanted to have some kind of company that wasn’t Clementine, or his own family. That was the only downside

“Yeah?”

He muttered quietly, a hand moving to brush over the front of his beanie with a soft sigh. Oh, it was Clementine’s friend. That wasn’t too bad

“Yeah, everyone is.”

❞ And JAVI can answer them.  ❞

He wasn’t his dad anymore. It wasn’t his father that had allowed his people to murder a 10 year old girl. These people had muttered about him, made comments that he hated --- but they weren’t anything to do with him. They werent HIS people like his father had muttered. That wasn’t how it was going to work.

He huffed, hands brushing lazily over the dirt on his jacket edges

❞ I don’t want ANYTHING to do with him. Call me selfish, I don’t care. ❞
