To start with 2020 here are my favorite Soul and Maka moments in the manga!

5) My favorite things about the Salvage arc are: Maka trying to understand music so that she could understand her partner better and Soul protecting her and confessing that she's the source of his courage, destroying the ultimate walls that divided them. Also both of them acknowledging that they make each other stronger and need each other to fight

4) The "Clown part two" is one of my favorite chapter since Maka enters the black room, eventho it's for the last time. This chapter shows her biggest fear which is losing everybody. It leads her to breakdown and to almost succumb to madness, but even in this vulnerable state Soul manages to make her returns to her sense (the piano scene is soso good and cute)

3) This is a big turning point in Soul's character, his self loathing, lack of identity and purpose and fear of his past brings him to be manipulated by Arachne until Maka comes in and Maka Chops both. Soul almost losts himself but looking at his meister reminds him that he's a weapon, he likes his new life and he has to protect his partner. Soul's fight with his demons is an inner fight and even if Maka isn't really involved in it, she is one of the reason he can finally wins them. I love how these two goals are different from each other, Soul's journey to find an identity, Maka's wanting to be better than his parents, but in a way they both contribuite to reach them

2) Maka and Soul partnership has what Spirit and Kami probably lacked: the trust in each other. The manga starts with a lots of Maka's and Soul's confrontation which they eventually overcome and thanks to them they become closer and better people. They know they will always have each other back, they are confident and stronger now. Which it's the reason why they immediately hold hands after Spirit's question, if they have each other they can do anything. I'm also adding Soul's absolute loyalty and reaffirmation that he would never betray/leave Maka

1) I love the scene where Soul flirts says "Even this music is something we made together" making Maka blush a lot. But I also love this moment, Soul's finally looking happy and at peace with himself and Maka wearing one of her softest smile, looking from afar. I find these two panels so sweet and melanchonic: Soul has grown up as a person and he can finally plays the piano in front of everyone and his meister is, of course, proud of him, but the thought alone of him drifting away from her scares her. It shows how important Soul has become to her, how fond she is of him after all their crazy adventures. Soul, who was afraid of connecting with people, found a person he loves being with. Maka, who was afraid of losing connections, understand that separation is sometimes inevitable

In all of this, I think that Soul and Maka relationship is one of the best relationship ever written and one of the best aspect of Soul Eater. Ohkubo did an amazing job of showing what it means to work together, to be equal with someone, to trust them with every fiber of your being. Soul and Maka are really the definition of soulmates

this is for day one! What they like about each other is that Cartman likes the attention he gets from craig (but he won’t admit it) And craig likes… chonk

for day two of @craigmanweek I think they’d ‘grow up’ by not really growing up. They would be the most annoying couple ever and do things like stand on the wrong side of each other when wearing matching shirts >:3c
