💣 Israeli warplanes are heavily bombing a starving and defenseless population RIGHT NOW of mostly children, and Western leaders are cheering it on.

🩸Israel’s so-called #Rafah evacuation order is a declaration to attack the 600K children & their families, to attack remaining infrastructure sustaining life & any possibility of a future.

🚨Racist-colonial logic is what makes this a “policy debate” instead of a siren warning of yet more genocidal massacres.

⚠️ The “evacuation” of Rafah is illegal. There are no “humanitarian” or “safe zones.” Civilians are being forcibly displaced to areas totally unsuitable to human habitation. This is a crime against humanity.

With so much of the news cycle focused on the crackdowns on American universities, I wanted to post news out of Palestine today:

Israel completes the shutdown of local Al Jazeera offices, making it that much more difficult to get out dissenting information:

Bombings continue in Rafah, where 7-month-old Hani Qishta, already orphaned, was killed himself. (I've blurred the image but if you click on source, it's unblurred.)

This is how I learned that Orthodox Christians paint their Easter eggs red, not the pastel I'm used to. The number of Christians in Gaza is tiny and shrinking fast during this genocide.

The person posting this, Hossam Shabat, is one of the last journalists in north Gaza. He's 21 years old and has already see more despair than most people will in a lifetime.

All universities in Gaza have been destroyed, and thousands of students and hundreds of professors killed.

Congrats to this family and best wishes to young Haron. He has big shoes to fill.

This is Rafah which the occupation army is preparing to enter and these small square-shaped plots are the tents of the displaced and they contain more than a million displaced people, reality on the ground is much worse than it appears from above,as there is no greater suffering..

I think while Eurovision is airing everyone should flood the Eurovision hashtags with Gaza news, images and fundraisers

The folks who refuse to boycott because they think they can do more good watching and promoting the show...they especially ought to do this, I think.

btw! I was made aware that many people don't know that we're boycotting Eurovision this year, so.

we are boycotting Eurovision, as per BDS guidelines.

don't watch the stream, don't engage with the videos, don't post it about it on social media using hashtags that are going to trend. whatever you're getting from the show isn't worth it

ID: Twitter post by Alan MacLeod which reads

Breaking: Annelise Orleck, Head of Jewish Studies at Dartmouth, has been banned from Campus for six months after protecting Jewish students protesting for Palestine from police attacks. Attached is a photo of Annelise Orleck.

Retweet by ceasefire (@kymtje) which reads

Combating antisemitism by banning the head of Jewish studies nothing to see here End ID

Slight corrections and additions: While Dr. Orleck still teaches at Dartmouth, she no longer chairs the department. However, she made it clear that she believed her presence as an older Jewish professor would make students safer by showing solidarity, and is outraged by the school’s response. Dartmouth claims that her suspension was “an error in the bail process, which they were working to fix.” Dr. Orleck was knocked to the ground and zip-tied, and came away with a case of whiplash.

Dartmouth brought in police only two hours after the encampment was set up, and the president has strongly defended her choice to create a culture of escalation and violence.
