ALRIGHT Y’ALL, here’s how my Hope diverges from canon!
- While Hayley’s wolf side was bound by the vampire supremacists, she did not actually die (how Hayley survives can be up to plotting).
- Hope still ended up gathering her family together and taking the Hollow back from them, and she used its power to break the binding spell placed on her mom.
- The Hollow wasn’t killing Hope
(because it didn’t try to kill her when she was a child, and that plot line didn’t even make sense), it was corrupting her, eating away at her humanity like a cancer, and consuming all that was good in her. - Rather than someone taking the Hollow from her, the Mikaelsons were able to find another way to contain it with the help of Vincent and the other New Orleans witches (full headcanon to be written up later).
- After all was said and done, and the Mikaelsons were reunited once again, Hope didn’t go back to the Salvatore School. She explained to both of her parents how lonely it had been, how little she fit in there, and it was finally agreed that she could go to school back home in New Orleans.
- In short, none of the Mikaelsons are dead, Hope is back home where she belongs, and she is not the sad and lonely girl we see in Legacies. In fact, I will not even be using anything from Legacies on this blog.
