Me: What is a helpful tip for our Cannafam?
Sean: GRIND YOUR HERB!!!
Me: Okay, how many people do you think use a Grinder?
Sean: I would have to say that its close to a 50/50 split for those who do or do not grind their cannabis. Whether or not you grind it, it is still gonna get smoked. With that being said here are a couple of reasons in my opinion for why it is more than worth it to invest in a good grinder...like our Smokin Js Triple stage grinder ; )
Me: Why do you think people should grind their flower?
Sean: Efficiency. By grinding your material you are creating more surface area. More surface area means the flame will be able to directly contact more of your bud and will require less heat to burn the same amount, or more, of your product than if it is not ground.
More bowls. This is kind of part two for the first one. But, when you grind your material you end up with more bowls to smoke. Whereas you might have a nice dense bowl-sized nug, when you grind it, you usually find you can get 1 1/2 or 2 full bowls instead.
Me: Why do you grind your bud?
Sean: Better Flavor: When the bud is not ground, you burn the nug on the outside, but you are also burning the bud inside prematurely, so you're unnecessarily turning the herb inside into ash. So when you do get to smoking the bud that was already partly heated, your losing freshness and flavour. I could compare this to smoking reclaim: it doesn't taste as good because it has already been tainted by initial heating.
Sean: Roll one up. Grinding is additionally useful when you are rolling a joint or a blunt. Some people might say, "I just break it down," using their fingers or maybe scissors. While this can technically get the job done your grind is going to be uneven and different sizes. This can cause the joint or blunt to burn unevenly, which can often cause your joint to 'run' (where the paper does not burn evenly or one side burns faster than the other.) If you use an actual grinder you will ensure a consistent and uniform grind. This will make the joint tight and the same all the way through. The result is a slow, even burning joint that shouldn't 'run'.
Sean: Bonus!! If you do invest in a triple stage grinder you will quickly collect A LOT of those frosty crystals/potent pollen(trichomes). This can be great when you want to smoke an extra potent bowl, a danker joint/blunt, and is a great way to make your cannabis butter extra special.

Aaron found an article he would like to share with you. I love how it breaks everything down in an easy to read manner! Also, the site is hosted by Greenwich Biosciences which is one of the leading US labs in cannabinoid research.

Thank you, Aaron "Sherpa" Pacora

#IAmCannabis

     It's all about people!

We at Smokin Js have supported the cannabis community for over 21 years! Wow, from days of "legalize it" warriors to our green fields of recreational cannabis today.  The fight has changed from activism for change to the preservation of independent culture.      I'd like to highlight a cannabis warrior fighting to correct the stigmas of cannabis.  Jennifer, aka JenaSativa420, or @_jena4n on Twitter has created a hashtag campaign that promotes pride in cannabis consumption across social class boundaries.  Her campaign is #IAmCannabis.      We at Smokin Js were so impressed with Jena's efforts we created a sticker just for her.  Rock on Jena!  Keep up the good fight.

SmokinJs got you! Ozium is my personal favourite, as it does the job with little product. However, the Smoke Buddy is also nice for a fragrance-free option. :)

If you check out with code PIXIE it takes 15% off :) whoo!
