ya’ll should really check out these sadly underrated Saiki fics, about Aiura convincing Saiki to date her for a week, to see if she can convince him to date her for real. it’s really REALLY well written, and everyone feels super in character, and its very nice considering the lack in saiki x aiura
the first fic is done and the second one is almost done, and idk if there’ll be more, but atm updates are shockingly frequent.

anya, looking shocked: How- it’s not from a cartoon. (She is thinking of a cartoon, where someone says “you found out my secret! Die!”)
saiki: you’re replaying the episode in your head right now.
6: saiki: it seems like a better show than cyborg ciderman no. 2 at least.
anya: cyborg ciderman?
saiki: don’t watch that either.
anya: if you don’t like telling people about it (his telepathy)… do some people already know?
7: saiki thinks of his mom, aiura, toritsuka, and akechi.
saiki: a couple classmates, my family. some found out on their own.
Anya: how did it go?
8: saiki: maybe a little too well. they never stop bugging me now.

my pitch for a saiki k continuation/spinoff is this:
saiki foresees that an apocalypse level Terrible Event is about to happen and is lowkey freaking tf out. he reaches out to the psykickers for help, but aiura looks into the future and cant see whatever it is that saiki saw, everything just looks normal to her. they all try desperately to avoid Certain Doom but everything they try fails and saiki has to come to grips with the fact that his powers werent enough this time and Oh God Oh No Angst Sorrow Horror-
and then as the world is falling apart or whatever suddenly everything is just inexplicably back to normal. cause this whole time there was another super overpowered psychic living on the other side of the planet who already had everything under control and there was nothing to worry about in the first place
One day Saiki’s gonna make a snarky comment in his head, but then realise he accidentally projected it telepathically.
Here’s what I’m imagining.
He means it in an exaggerated “I’m gonna sleep for a month” kind of way, but Kaidou doesn’t know that.
Do you ever think about how Aiura was chasing someone she had no idea of?
Like considering how romantised soulmates are in the media (the one person who gets you for you) you can't help but worry how people have treated her in the past.
Considering her figure and the way people drool over her, you can tell she's used to the treatment. Naturally, she'd think that people only like/ dislike her for how she looks, like even Toritsuka's insults are focused on her body (Tits mcgee). Even Teruhashi is guilty for disliking Aiura based on superficial assumptions (before the whole love rival things) and she tried to become like her too!
Like that's pretty dehumanising! So the idea of a soulmate is extremely appealing to her!
Now, whether Saiki is a romantic soulmate or not, you can see how he looks out for her and also that he treats her like a proper person! She's quite similar to Teruhashi in that way, too. Their dynamic is honestly great, and the trust between them is good, She knows he won't take advantage of her, and he finds her dependable and enjoys his time with her.
With Saiki, this is the 2nd pyschic he's met, and the 1st he's met, that isn't a total douche. He's curious and feels protective due to their kinship, which therefore fuels their friendship
Honestly it's a really nice dynamic and I think they're pretty good for each other.
i feel like kusou would absolutely fall for the stuff they sell on wish.com and when it gets to his house hes sad because it is like a 1/5 of the size they said it would be he also has all of his apps on light mode and full brightness aiura asked to borrow his phone once and she got fucking flashbanged
This whole episode was insane
The main Saiki friendgroup and pk psychics are mostly seperate group right? And Saiki acts deferently with both of them so what happened is someone from the main friendgroup (like Kaidou or sth) witnesses some "weird" Saiki behavior? Like Saiki being more sarcastic and mean or even violent thowards Toritsuka, while hanging out with him. Or he hears Saiki calmly saying "kill yourself" and he's shocked that Saiki, who is so nice and calm could say something like that, even to the germ. Or Teruhashi overhears a conversation between Aiura and Toritsuka that goes like: "Yo wheres Saiki" "oh he's stalking that guy again" "again? Damn he needs to leave that poor guy alone" and she's like "what? Stalking? I never thought Saiki was like that". Or the groups combine and they’re playing "who is the most likely to..." and there’s a question like "whos most likely to tell you to kill yourself/beat someone up" and the psychickers are automaticaly like "Saiki" "Saiki-san" "Kusuo" and everyone else questions if they even know him.

saiki kusuo is so silly hes like ugh i cant believe im stuck hanging out with these idiots… well i’m going to go greatly out of my way to do nice things for them and protect them and make them really happy. and im going to grumble the whole time about how this sucks and is annoying and they’re so dumb and weird. anyways i have to go completely inconvenience myself and literally warp reality to prevent someone i dont like from being mildly disappointed over something. ugghhhhhhh.
