It says on the schedule that August 1st is set for "touch base". Is this for checking the contributors' progress on their respective pieces?
Yes! Information regarding this check-in was in the email sent out when the prompt list was put up. Contributors will be receiving an email later today or tomorrow regarding the check in.
Don't know if my previous ask got eaten, but when are we receiving the pitch confirmations?

We are waiting for confirmation via the prompt form for the final number!
Are we allowed to make minor changes to our illustration after submitting our prompts if we feel those changes make it better fit the theme of the zine?
We will send out the approved prompts after July 1. Straying from the approved prompt will result in the piece not being included in the published product.
Can we name the npc? And additionally, can we reference canon characters/have them appear, providing that they are only a small part of the thing?
Yes. And minimal canon character involvement would be the goal, but a teeny tiny appearance would be okay.
