Hi... I'm gone. Probably forever, to be honest. The reason for that is that I was so busy keeping my queue up, and with 400+ followers I felt pressured to do so, that I was mostly taking pictures instead of playing. Thus I lost my motivation for the game.

I will continue to play the sims but I will no longer update this tumblr. I'm sorry for this as it's probably going to disappoint a lot of people but it's something I have to do to get back my enjoyment for the sims.

I’m going to go on an indefinite hiatus. I’ll definitely return but I don’t want to set a date for myself. I feel like I’ve kind of burned out on the sims, I need a change of scenery for a while. I’ll still be around on tumblr from time to time, I’m just really not motivated to play the game right now. Sorry guys!

I hate when drama happens because it always results in me unfollowing a bunch of people because I don’t want to be involved in it.

Clark seems to be interested in the family pets, three fishes called GusGus, Chichi and Goldie, named by the incredibly creative @simszella. I’m not sure why he has such a sad expression though, maybe he'd rather have a cat?

To celebrate the newly renovated living room the family gets together to watch a movie on the evening of yet another sunny sunday. They watch Superkids: Cortex Catastrophe and just when the superkids are on their way to defeating the villain a bunch of confetti announces Margo’s pregnancy to the sims. I bet that’s one of the reasons why no one was bored while watching a kid’s movie!

First however I have to deal with a glitch that causes Clark to be whisked away despite all of his needs being met. Several attempts at fixing it fail so the only option is to do an emergency age-up in the kitchen. Not the most glorious birthday imagineable but blame this glitchy mess of a game for that. Despite the bat icon over his head at his birth Clark is not a vampire, not yet at least.

Jaden comes over to look after the kids while Margo and Salim are upstairs and Mason is busy reading another mystery novel. Once the family sits down for dinner he shares some good news, he’s married to a lovely young girl called Rita and the two are moving to San Myshuno to explore the city life. Everyone is excited for the two and Margo plans to throw a dinner party to meet her soon.

Aria is working on her aspiration, to complete her current milestone she has to play on a jungle gym. There’s not enough money to buy one for the home lot so she asks her big brother Brian to take her to the Park in Oasis Springs. She not only has a lot of fun but also makes a new friend, Kylie Waters. I don’t know what it is about my good sims, she’s evil yet both Juno and Aria befriended her.

Time flies by and soon enough it’s the weekend again. Mason likes to spend his free time reading mystery books while watching his mother paint. Something about the movements, the quaint atmosphere and the classical music playing in that room must have a calming effect on him. The twins on the other hand like to spend their time swimming or playing on the monkey bars together.

First of all, apologies for being such a mess at the moment. I’ve had trouble sleeping the past few nights which has the unfortunate side effect that I’m a bit more emotional than usually. I’m working on it though. Anyway, here are some replies for the lovely people who write little comments under my posts. Thank you so much for that! JUSTICE FOR CHEESE HAIR TAG (by wackysimmer)

I tend to be pretty vocal about my dislike for this shade of blonde so this challenge was difficult. I had to find colors that match the yellow and went with teal, one of my favourite colors. And to be honest, I really enjoyed creating this sim and I love how she turned out! I think I’m warming up to the cheese hair :)

This is Daffodil Jones. Daffie, as she's called by her closest friends, is a food critic with a refined palette and exquisite taste. Her favourite ingredient is cheese and while a grilled cheese sandwich might not have high gourmand appeal you're sure to get a good review from her if it's well made. Daffodil's hobbies are cleaning and socializing, her pet is a cute yellow canary bird.

I was tagged by @geek-trait I tag everyone who reads this and feels like doing this challenge, plus @simszella, @cat-nerd-sims, @thegeeksims and @wafflekone. I need to follow more people who post mainly sims, I always feel kind of bad when I tag people who do mostly gameplay because I feel like I force them out of their comfort zone and I totally don’t want to do that :D

Margo is back from the aliens, dazed and confused but not pregnant. After the kids are all done with school she brings them to a modern diner where they order their favourite food and drinks. After they’re done eating it’s time to celebrate Mason’s birthday with a chocolate cake. He ages up and turns into a teen with the insane and bookworm traits as well as the nerd brain aspiration.

And then, to end this long day in the worst way possible, Margo gets abducted by the aliens. I don’t know why this happens or where she’s going but the timing is really inconvenient since she’s going to age up soon and I wanted her to find a new partner tomorrow. Mason and Aria are both outside and pretty shocked about what’s happening, it even looks like Aria almost falls off the monkey bars.

I changed the lifespans for all ages which resulted in Percy and Paige aging up right after they got done with their homework. Percy rolled the childish trait and kept the master mixologist aspiration while Paige now is a genius in addition to her kleptomaniac and evil traits, she rolled the public enemy aspiration. They both move in together with their siblings next door, who have not yet moved out.

As soon as the party is over the table is cleaned and all the kids start on their homework. I’ve been neglecting their school performances lately, therefore the challenge progression has been slow. Now it’s time to pick up the pace again!

When the kids are back home everything is clean and tidy once again and so the family is ready to celebrate Adam and Aria’s birthday. Adam is first to blow out the candles, he turns into a child with the slob trait and the artistic prodigy aspiration. Aria on the other hand rolls the good trait and is a rambunctious scamp now. Don’t mind Percy in his Pajamas, he just woke up from a little nap.
