fire island and man to man by @carlos-in-glasses are such special stories that i come back to often, i should be better about commenting and such but i fear being annoying, (even tagging you and other fic authors makes me go... 🫣)

(i know i shouldn't think this way, because as stated above, i adore any and all comments (that aren't rude) but alas. anxiety.)

hold on to me by @reyesstrand is such a lovely nancymarjan fic. i adore the idea of marjan comforting nancy after tim's death.
lunch with lou by @doublel27 this is VERY relevant to the rewatch this week and i love lou fics SO MUCH. this one was a delight!

and of course, it wouldn't be a rachel/sznofthesticks rec list without *drumroll*

love in a series of bursts & inches by @lemonlyman-dotcom this story is so lovely, lemon's characterization of marjan here is just so beautiful and i can tell how much love and care was put into this fic.

as for authors, all of these authors are so talented. i have not read every single work of theirs, as i am human, but i can assure you they are all delightful. 🧡

Gazafunds actually deals with this anxiety and makes a decision for you if you want. Their home page has a spotlighted fundraiser and the code consider things like how close the gfm is to finishing, when the most recent donation is, etc. So it's randomized to help as many people as possible.

There's also @helpgazachildren which if you donate, you can help multiple people at once since it's a whole mutual aid fund, or at least close to it. Hussam distributes money to people who need it when he's asked.

now i am Looking. and i think its a given that judd will always be owen’s number two and we’ll see some arc this season of him coming back into firefighting, where he’ll be welcomed back to the 126 with open arms and he’ll eventually take over the firehouse. but it would be very compelling to do a mini storyline where owen’s basically like…..in need of someone to fill judd’s shoes and he’s got two GREAT options in paul and marjan. and the potential drama of the ride or dies who each have their own strong relationships with cap wanting the same thing badly but not wanting to hurt the other’s chances at moving up in their careers would be compelling, at least as a one or two episode arc!!!

plus we know this could have a fun little comedic tinge to it too, and some great potential for some rescues/competent firefighter stuff with both of them, and it might be fun to see and explain some of the changes that have been teased!

As they tear the loft apartment, Carlos gets flashbacks to when he had to do the same for a lost lizard. Twice. Except this time it’s not a reptile, but a very expensive engagement ring that doesn’t even belong to them. They flip cushions and roll rugs and dig through the dishes filled with pretzels or chocolate covered almonds, but even after their home looks like a tornado ripped through it, they’re still empty handed.

TK slumps down on the living room floor after a last ditch effort to look under the couch, staring up at Carlos with wide, horrified eyes. “The ring is gone,” he mutters, and all Carlos can do is swallow past his dry throat and nod.
