On normal strangulation, because your hands cramp - you don’t strangle as quickly as they do on tv, you know they do tv and 15 seconds later the guy’s dead - most strangulations there’s multiple, where you move your hands around. In this case, I think it was on the Stavinsky girl, there was three, and he made a comment that he’d never seen that before, and it was like an insane - I’m pretty sure that was the word he used - it was an insane strength or something. ‘Cause I get a kick out of it because the prosecutor, I knew, had no idea that was coming.”

Infibulation
Self-torture.
Involves piercing one’s own nipples, labia, clitoris, scrotum, or penis with sharp objects such as needles, pins, and rings.
Albert Fish, who murdered children, cannabilized them, and sent letters to their families telling them how much he enjoyed eating their children, was an infibulator who derived sexual gratification by jabbing sewing needles into his scrotum, penis, and perineum. An x-ray revealed nearly two dozen needles in his genital area.

Human Death and Decay
The environment in which a dead body is placed also affects its rate of decay. For instance, bodies in water decompose twice as fast as those left unburied on land. Decomposition is slowest underground – especially in clay or other solid substances that prevent air from reaching the body since most bacteria require oxygen to survive.

She then yells, “Don’t fuck with me Jeffrey” and moves towards the defence table, yelling “I’ll kill you goddamn it.”

“Through a rapist’s eyes. A group of rapists and date rapists in prison were interview…ed on what they look for in a potential victim and here are some interesting facts:
1] The first thing men look for in a potential victim is hairstyle. They are most likely to go after a woman with a ponytail, bun! , braid, or other hairstyle that can easily be grabbed. They are also likely to go after a woman with long hair. Women with short hair are not common targets.
2] The second thing men look for is clothing. They will look for women who’s clothing is easy to remove quickly. Many of them carry scissors around to cut clothing.
3] They also look for women using their cell phone, searching through their purse or doing other activities while walking because they are off guard and can be easily overpowered.
4] The number one place women are abducted from / attacked at is grocery store parking lots.
5] Number two is office parking lots/garages.
6] Number three is public restrooms.
7] The thing about these men is that they are looking to grab a woman and quickly move her to a second location where they don’t have to worry about getting caught.
8] If you put up any kind of a fight at all, they get discouraged because it only takes a minute or two for them to realize that going after you isn’t worth it because it will be time-consuming.
9] These men said they would not pick on women who have umbrellas,or other similar objects that can be used from a distance, in their hands.
10] Keys are not a deterrent because you have to get really close to the attacker to use them as a weapon. So, the idea is to convince these guys you’re not worth it.
POINTS THAT WE SHOULD REMEMBER:
1] If someone is following behind you on a street or in a garage or with you in an elevator or stairwell, look them in the face and ask them a question, like what time is it, or make general small talk: can’t believe it is so cold out here, we’re in for a bad winter. Now that you’ve seen their faces and could identify them in a line- up, you lose appeal as a target.
2] If someone is coming toward you, hold out your hands in front of you and yell Stop or Stay back! Most of the rapists this man talked to said they’d leave a woman alone if she yelled or showed that she would not be afraid to fight back. Again, they are looking for an EASY target.
3] If you carry pepper spray (this instructor was a huge advocate of it and carries it with him wherever he goes,) yelling I HAVE PEPPER SPRAY and holding it out will be a deterrent.
4] If someone grabs you, you can’t beat them with strength but you can do it by outsmarting them. If you are grabbed around the waist from behind, pinch the attacker either under the arm between the elbow and armpit or in the upper inner thigh – HARD. One woman in a class this guy taught told him she used the underarm pinch on a guy who was trying to date rape her and was so upset she broke through the skin and tore out muscle strands the guy needed stitches. Try pinching yourself in those places as hard as you can stand it; it really hurts.
5] After the initial hit, always go for the groin. I know from a particularly unfortunate experience that if you slap a guy’s parts it is extremely painful. You might think that you’ll anger the guy and make him want to hurt you more, but the thing these rapists told our instructor is that they want a woman who will not cause him a lot of trouble. Start causing trouble, and he’s out of there.
6] When the guy puts his hands up to you, grab his first two fingers and bend them back as far as possible with as much pressure pushing down on them as possible. The instructor did it to me without using much pressure, and I ended up on my knees and both knuckles cracked audibly.
7] Of course the things we always hear still apply. Always be aware of your surroundings, take someone with you if you can and if you see any odd behavior, don’t dismiss it, go with your instincts. You may feel little silly at the time, but you’d feel much worse if the guy really was trouble.
FINALLY, PLEASE REMEMBER THESE AS WELL ….
1. Tip from Tae Kwon Do: The elbow is the strongest point on your body. If you are close enough to use it, do it.
2. Learned this from a tourist guide to New Orleans : if a robber asks for your wallet and/or purse, DO NOT HAND IT TO HIM. Toss it away from you…. chances are that he is more interested in your wallet and/or purse than you and he will go for the wallet/purse. RUN LIKE MAD IN THE OTHER DIRECTION!
3. If you are ever thrown into the trunk of a car: Kick out the back tail lights and stick your arm out the hole and start waving like crazy. The driver won’t see you but everybody else will. This has saved lives.
4. Women have a tendency to get into their cars after shopping,eating, working, etc., and just sit (doing their checkbook, or making a list, etc. DON’T DO THIS! The predator will be watching you, and this is the perfect opportunity for him to get in on the passenger side,put a gun to your head, and tell you where to go. AS SOON AS YOU CLOSE the DOORS , LEAVE.
5. A few notes about getting into your car in a parking lot, or parking garage:
a. Be aware: look around your car as someone may be hiding at the passenger side , peek into your car, inside the passenger side floor, and in the back seat. ( DO THIS TOO BEFORE RIDING A TAXI CAB) .
b. If you are parked next to a big van, enter your car from the passenger door. Most serial killers attack their victims by pulling them into their vans while the women are attempting to get into their cars.
c. Look at the car parked on the driver’s side of your vehicle, and the passenger side. If a male is sitting alone in the seat nearest your car, you may want to walk back into the mall, or work, and get a guard/policeman to walk you back out. IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY. (And better paranoid than dead.)
6. ALWAYS take the elevator instead of the stairs. (Stairwells are horrible places to be alone and the perfect crime spot).
7. If the predator has a gun and you are not under his control, ALWAYS RUN! The predator will only hit you (a running target) 4 in 100 times; And even then, it most likely WILL NOT be a vital organ. RUN!
8. As women, we are always trying to be sympathetic: STOP IT! It may get you raped, or killed. Ted Bundy, the serial killer, was a good-looking, well educated man, who ALWAYS played on the sympathies of unsuspecting women. He walked with a cane, or a limp, and often asked “for help” into his vehicle or with his vehicle, which is when he abducted his next victim.
Send this to any woman you know that may need to be reminded that the world we live in has a lot of crazies in it and it’s better safe than sorry.

Okay,
1 and 2 are simply not true.
3 - yeah, anything that makes you look like you’re not paying attention to your surrounding makes you a target (ex. ooking in your purse, at your phone)
4 - Women are most likely to be attacked/abducted from their homes.
5 - Number two, I would say yeah, generally anyplace where a woman is probably distracted (getting keys out, for ex) and is isolated.
6 - See above, anyplace where a woman is isolated.
7 - Depending on where you are attacked - if you attacked in a restroom, for example (as the article suggests is a likely place to be attacked) surely the offender is not going to try and transport you out of there. If you are grabbed off of a running path, he’ll want to move you a short distance, probably, away from people. And if there’s an alley around or he has a car, he will definitely try and move you.
8 - Wrong. The offenders have a fantasy and script in their head. They want their victim to do what they expect. For some, they want a compliant victim and for others, it will make them angry if the victim doesn’t fight back. My general rule is that if they want to transport you somewhere, assume you’re not coming back, so fight for your goddamn life. It gets more complicated in other situations.
9 - In the hundreds, if not thousands, of cases I’ve reviewed, I’ve never heard someone use this a criteria for picking/not picking a victim. Thinking that it is true that an umbrella or something might discourage an attacker could give you a false sense of security, and if you need to always be on alert!
10 - I absolutely agree with part of this - you don’t want someone to see you as an easy target. But, if you have your keys out and are looking around, they might think you’re a risky target. Keys and other things, like a lit cigarette or a pin, can come in handy in some cases, if someone grabs you from behind, you may be able to jab them and get them to break their grip - this could be a few seconds that saves your life. I always recommend carrying a small bottle of hairspray or something harmless like that - if you carry pepper spray, you could hesitate in using it. But, for example, it’s a quiet street at night or a parking garage, a man starts walking in your direction for no reason, wouldn’t you be quicker to use something that you know won’t damage him if you were too quick in making an assessment of the situation?!
That first section is my area of expertise and I couldn’t help but correct it - I think the rest of it sounds good, and there a lot of really good points. I would just add that although everyone knows to go for a guy’s balls, remember that eyeballs are a pretty good target, too!

Ligature marks on the wrist as a result of binding
In 1981, Issei Sagawa, killed and ate 31-year old Rene Hartevelt. He recalls having thoughts of cannibalism since early childhood and states that he still wants to consume women’s flesh. He blames the Western media for the development of his cannibalistic fantasies, stating that the women he saw on television and in movies were too beautiful for him to resist. He has stated that he never dreamed of having sex with them but only fantasized about “gnawing on their flesh”.
While living in Paris, in 1981, and after many failed attempts at trying to kill prostitutes he would bring home, he met Dutch student Rene Hartevelt. He became friends with Rene and one night when she was at his home for dinner, he killed her, raped her, and then butchered her body and ate her. He stated his only regret was that he had started to cut her up and eat her while she was still alive.
When police questioned him, he readily stated, “I killed her to eat her flesh.” He was declared legally insane and rather than hold him in Paris for the crime, he was deported to Japan and French authorities assumed he would be placed in a mental institution. However, because of bureaucratic mix-ups, the Japanese authorities were not able to prosecute him and in 1986 he checked himself out of the hospital. He has been free ever since and has not re-offended, though he admits that he still has a strong desire to eat women. He claims the urge is strongest when summer arrives and women are wearing less clothing.
American Psycho, by Bret Easton Ellis - The Controversy
The book was originally to have been published by Simon and Schuster in March 1991, but the company withdrew from the project because of “aesthetic differences.” Vintage Books purchased the rights to the novel and published the book after the customary editing process. The book was never published in hardcover form in the United States, although a deluxe paperback was eventually offered. Ellis received numerous death threats and hate mail after the publication of American Psycho.“
Feminist activist Gloria Steinam was among those opposed to the release of Ellis’ book because of its portrayal of violence towards women. Steinem is also the stepmother of Christian Bale, who played Bateman in the film.
In Germany, the book was deemed "harmful to minors,” and its sales and marketing were severely restricted from 1995 to 2000.
In Australia, the book is sold shrink-wrapped and is classified “R18” under national censorship legislation. The book may not be sold to those under 18 years of age, or criminal prosecution may result. Along with other Category 1 publications, its sale is theoretically banned in the state of Queensland and it may only be purchased shrink-wrapped. In Brisbane, the novel is available to those over 18 from all public libraries and can still be ordered and purchased (shrink-wrapped) from many book stores despite this prohibition. Bret Easton Ellis has commented on this, saying “I think it’s adorable, I think it’s cute, I love it”
In New Zealand the Government’s Office of Film and Literature Classification has rated the book as R18. The book may not be sold or lent in libraries to those under 18 years of age. It is generally sold shrink wrapped in bookstores.
