Quickly, Rose made her hair into a sideswept braid, putting it over her shoulder before assuming one of his poses, eyes closed. For a little while she said nothing, just remaining silent.
And then she finally opened her mouth to give her best/worst impression of Nayuta.
“I will show you the error of your ways through the sermon. You will sit there and you will like it, no matter the topic of my sermon or how many hours it takes. For I am holier than thou and not at all cute. To say that I am cute is a worse insult than defaming the Holy Mother’s name with blasphemy. I am fickle and eat way too many strange foods and should probably stop picking up American lingo such as ‘what’s crack-a-lacking homie’.”

Well! This was a surprise. Not every day that the prosecutor before would seek her out like this. Such a simple gesture of asking to braid her hair pleased Rose to no end and her blank expression soon split into a huge smile.
To show that she didn’t mind at all Rose reached up to undo the rosy ribbon in her hair, setting what locks were held up completely loose. Shaking her head, letting those dark strands flutter in the air as she got settled, she sent the monk a gentle, serene smile that could rival that of the Holy Mother’s.
“Oh, please, go ahead. I don’t mind at all. If it means spending a bit of extra time with you, I’d be happy to let you play with my hair.”

ok but now i imagine rose’s fam just being ridiculous because of this rule because it seems as if ALL prosecutors pick on the defense BECAUSE they’re the defense.
