ANCIENT GREECE MOD UPDATE + NEW LEGACY CHALLENGE ( STORY MODE )

Hey, guys! First of all, thank you so much for all the support and positive feedback on my little CC pack. I’m so glad that so many of you are enjoying this mod. I also appreciate the constructive criticism I got and I took all your suggestions on what to improve very seriously, so today, I wanna bring you a little update to fix some small things here and there as well as give you some inspiration for your gameplay and even add a few new items.

WHAT’S FIXED:

  • New thumbnails: I wanna apologize for the inconvenience of making you guys go through all the CAS items to figure out which one is which as they were all using the same thumbnail. I’m happy to announce that this has been fixed now. Below you can redownload all the CAS items with individual thumbnails. Just replace the old files in your mods folder with the new ones.
  • New version of the Demeter Crown for shorter hairstyles: This has been suggested by @kiss-the-pain-away and I found it to be a nice idea. i lowered the head accessory and made it a bit smaller to fit onto short/shaved hairs and bald heads.

WHAT’S NEW:

  • 3 new CAS items: Demeter Crown V2 + Achilles Outfit ( preview above )
  • 1 new functional item for the buy catalog: I edited one of @melonsloth‘s decorative townies to be functional by cloning the tuning of the future cube that came with the base game, so your Sim can now visit the Oracle and ask it questions about the future. ( Big thank you to @melonsloth for allowing me to use the mesh, all credits go to them for the original deco Sim ). Note: Please check out the tutorial here to see how the item is used.
  • A new challenge: I wrote my first challenge. Please tag your screenshots #pjhistorychallenge if you decide to play it!

KINGS AND HEROES CHALLENGE:

Gen 1: The Fisherman

Every morning, you sail out onto the Sea to catch fish, just like your father, your grandfather and many of your ancestors before him did. You love being out on the open ocean on your small boat, completely at Poseidon’s mercy. Every morning before you leave to join the other fishermen, you make a sacrifice to the gods, asking for a good catch and a safe return home where your loving pregnant wife awaits you. Little do you know that the child she carries is not yours, but a child of Zeus himself.

Rules:

  • Create a male and a female Sim ( they must be husband and wife ) or two female Sims ( they must be wives ) to start out your first generation. Set the lifespan to however long you want but I would recommend going with the longest one for this challenge. create a new household and make a “Zeus” Sim. Optional: If you have Island Living installed, you can give him the Sulani Mana trait by using a cheat to pass on godly powers to your next generation.
  • One sim must have the Angling Ace aspiration. The aspiration must be completed.
  • Both Sims must have the Loves Outdoors and Family-oriented traits. The third trait can be whatever you want it to be.
  • Have your wife become pregnant with Zeus’s baby. They can only have one baby together.
  • You’re allowed to have multiple children but your heir for the next generation is the child of Zeus.
  • Your Sims entire income must come from fishing. You’re allowed to start out with a higher fishing level and you can use cheats to level up faster.

Gen 2: The Demigod

You grew up with two loving parents by your side, supporting you on every step you took. Your parents were never wealthy but they offered you the best life they could afford with what little means they had. Your father/mother wants you to become a fisherman just like them but you’re convinced that life has so much more to offer than that. You seek adventure and you’re determined to leave your home to find your own glory like the heroes in the stories your mother always told you about. Before you leave, your mother confesses to you that your father is no other than Zeus and that she believes you’re destined for something bigger than what she can offer you. You say your farewell to your parents, sail off into an uncertain future and never return home.

Rules:

  • Move your heir to a different world. They’re not allowed to visit their homeworld again after moving out. They also can’t interact with their parents/siblings anymore. ( If they call you, you have to ignore the calls. )
  • Your Sim must have and complete the Successful Lineage aspiration. You won’t have much time for this so plan ahead. You can give them any trait you want except the Evil, Mean and Hates Children traits. Optional: If you have Snowy Escape, you can give them the Adventurous trait. If you have Strangerville, complete the story to unlock the Hero of Strangerville trait.
  • Your Sim must have at least 4 different love interests at the same time but can not be married or engaged to anyone.
  • Max out the Fitness skill.
  • Your heir must perish while still a Young Adult. How they go is completely up to you.
  • You can have two children only. Give one of them the Good and the other one the Evil trait. The child with the Evil trait will become your heir for Gen 3.
  • You can choose freely how your Sim will earn their money.

Gen 3: The Rebel

You never recovered from the loss of your parent at a young age. They were your hero, the person you looked up to the most in this world. Your thirst for revenge consumes you and you direct your anger towards the gods. You blame them for what happened and promise yourself to bring down Olympus and your grandfather, Zeus. You end up making a deal with Hades as you both share the same goal and he offers you immortality in return for your help to take down his brother.

Rules:

  • Your heir must have the Public Enemy aspiration. If you own Get Together you can also use the Leader of the Pack aspiration.
  • Your Sim must have the Evil and Jealous traits. Optional: If you have Get Together, make a group called „Children of Hades“ and let your Sim be their leader. Group must meet up at least twice a week to perform mischievous interactions on other Sims.
  • Optional: If you own Vampires, let your Sim become a vampire.
  • Be enemies with Zeus and your sibling.
  • Your Sim can’ t have romantic relationships with anyone and can only adopt children.
  • Choose your heir freely.

Gen 4: A Cursed Bloodline

You were raised by one of the most feared people in the Greek World and you inherited all their power. Some respect you, others fear you and some call you a monster but you’re nothing like your parent was. You’re a kind hearted individual taking an interest in the art of painting and spending every moment of your day out in the sunny fields. You see beauty everywhere around you and you want to capture it. You’re a hopeless romantic and a soft spirit trying to befriend everyone you meet as you seek the love and affection you never got from your power-hungry parent.

Rules:

  • Your Sim must have and complete the Friend of the World aspiration.
  • Give your Sim the Romantic and Outgoing traits.
  • Have your Sim master the painting skill ( reach level 10 ).
  • Live off the money you make from selling your paintings.
  • Your Sim must be married and have at least 3 children.
  • Your Sim must perish while still a Young Adult.

Gen 5: The Olympic Champion

All your life, you’ve been working hard on your athletic skills to be able to participate in the Olympic Games. When you’re finally selected to represent your hometown a dream is coming true for you. You want to make your family proud and redeem your bloodline by winning the Games. It’s your only goal, your calling and you would do anything to achieve it.

Rules:

  • Your Sim must have and complete the Bodybuilder trait.
  • Reach level 10 of the Fitness skill.
  • Your Sim must join and complete the Sports career.
  • Be married and divorced at least once.
  • Have one child only ( if you’re planning to continue the challenge ). If not, have no children at all. The child must be living in a separate household with your divorced partner.
  • Optional: If you have Spa Day, max out the yoga skill as well.
  • Outlive all your siblings.

Gen 6: ?????

Continue this story however you want.

This is my very first time writing a challenge but I really wanted to give it a try. As we all know, my small pack doesn’t offer all that much content and I’d figure anyone would get bored of it after 2-3 days. Maybe this challenge can help with that and keep you interested in the pack for a bit longer.

Other than that, let me know if any other issues occur.

Alright, so after a few conversation with some writers friends and some friends who want to get into writing, I decided I’d make a general one-stop-shop master list for all things writing. Any one of these can be expanded upon ( and probably will in the future if asked) but for now, I’ve listed a lot of resources here, some I’ve tried some I’ve only heard about or seen when browsing for information as I do when I’m on break at work.  For a majority of this I’m just going to list it but if I feel strongly I’ll add a tiny blurb about why I think it’s fabulous or why it worked best for me.

That being said I think a lot of these can be used for both fiction and creative non-fiction ( as I have a history with both and have had to write both. If anyone is interested in creative non-fiction I’d be more than happy to talk about it.) For Creative Non-Fiction I’ve put a small asterisk on the resource that are specifically geared toward this genre. All links are in the bracketed x’s. I hope this helps!

I found this a few months back and it’s been a lifesaver in some ways. If you’re stuck or don’t even know where to start this can give you a good idea of how to get started. Plus it includes synopsis writing which no one ever talks about.

  • Grammarly [ x ] The free version doesn’t allow you to tailor your type of writing but it’s a nice editing program. If you DO go for the premium the suggestions and edits are amazing, this helped me a lot in college and workshop. I still use it today as an add-on to chrome & word. THIS IS NOT A SUBSTITUTION FOR REAL EDITS THOUGH!
  • Open Office  [ x ]  It’s a nice alternative to Word, for free. I used this a lot my first two years of college because…poor and Word was expensive ( my college didn’t offer use free subscriptions until my junior year ) as hell.
  • YWriter [ x ] SpaceJock software * I used this for about 3 years? If you’re into a lot of organization and like to break up chapters, documents etc this is great. and Free. I suggest this for Non-fiction writers because you can write a memoir, biography, etc and have each chapter as its own file, meaning you can play around with linear time and order. For fiction, it seems… unnecessary to divide it so much but ey whatever floats your boat.
  • FocusWriter [ x ] I am someone who will get distracted by wi-fi, internet, Pinterest, Facebook etc when writing so I tried this out. It works but not for me. I like to go back and reread things I’ve written edit small things as I go. Which you can’t do with this app. For essay writing in college though this was great.
  • Evernote [ x ] This is more a productivity tool than really a writing software but worth the mention because I did write a few articles for a lit magazine in college in and it was definitely nice.

MARKETING FOR WRITERS

  • Skillshare Classes [ Especially theses ones x, x, x] This is a monthly subscription for premium ( around 11 bucks) which gets you access to a lot of classes in a million different topics. This place is my go to when I need to learn something ( marketing, business plans, twitter etc).
  • Udemy Classes [ like this one x] this is a one time fee of around 10-20$ per class. But the instructors are great, the projects and information is top notch too. But it does add up and I’ve only ever taken two classes here because of pricing.

RECOMMEND BOOKS - LIT MAGS

  • Eat, Shoots & Leaves by Lynn Truss This is a grammar guide, but it’s funny and helps a lot for those of us who might not be the best at grammar ( or want to know more).
  • Self Editing  For Fiction Writers  by Rene Browne & Dave King This was a textbook for a class of mine, and I never thought I’d ever keep a craft book, they always seemed to say a lot of things but this, was amazing.
  • The Magic Words by Cherylyn B Klein This is more for Children’s Lit & Ya but the advice is solid regardless. Again another textbook I used in a publishing class and adored enough not to sell it back.
  • On Writing by Stephen King
  • Handling The Truth on the Writing of a Memoir by Beth Kephart*
  • Words For Pictures by Brian Michael Bendis This…is a shocker to anyone who knows me as I’m not the biggest Bendis support ( that’s a can of worms we shall avoid). But this book is chalk full of some good tips for those comic/graphic novelists out there. This is the only guidebook I’ve read on the subject and found it interesting.
  • Writer’s Guide to Character Traits 2nd Edby Dr. Linda Edelstein  This is very much a book I keep by my side when creating characters. It’s a psychology book for those of us who don’t know much about it. the break down is beautiful and there’s a lot of information, tips, and even some exercises to help
  • 500 Ways to Write Harder by Chuck Wendig This book has a lot of great advice in it and when I was first venturing into this field as my career option I devoured it. Now I browse it and read it when I need a refresher. Much like his blog, the content it well very much the kick in the ass I need.
Why I’m including Lit Magazines? Because as someone who went to school for Creative writing Lit Mags has been a way for me to see what others are publishing and writing on topics I like. They look amazing and can often be a source of publication besides ebook, self-publishing and traditional publishing of novels. There are about a million out there, but I’ve listed a few I’ve researched/looked into or subscribe to.
  • The New Yorker [ x ] How to submit is here The most pretentious thing I have ever owned. I subscribed to this my sophomore year of college after reading a few great short stories and have been getting an issue ever since. I believe there’s also like an archive that’s free but don’t quote me on that. This is here because you can submit your work to them, as well as read amazing authors like T.C. Boyle or Jo Ann Beard * and others in many different literary fiction genres.
  • Poetry & Writers’ list of Lit Mags [ x ]
  • Ricochet Literary Magzine [ x ] This is for new/unpublished authors. I have not submitted to them but they look interesting and definitely caught my eye as they send feedback on submission if not published, which in my book is a great way to learn and definitely worth more in-depth look at.
  • The Fairytale Review [ x ] This is another magazine I subscribed to. Annually. It includes a poetry, essays, stories about/adapting/modern twists of fairy tale fiction. Each Issue is a different theme. and You can submit to them [ here ]. Since this is something I adore and write myself it’s a good way to see what others in this niche are doing.
  • Litro Magazine [ x ] I’ve recently been stalking this magazine. It’s fresh and does take unpublished/new writer work.

So in short….

but hopefully these help you or give you a jumping off point for the future. Feel free to comment/reblog with your own additions or contact me here if you want this expanded, more dteails have questions on my experiences using any of this.

Happy Writing!

**Disclaimer. I am not sponsored or paid to mention/speak nicely of any resource listed. Please don’t feel obligated to buy subscriptions, novels, resources etc unless you have the means and want to.**

The ultimate masterlist!

Let’s spread the word.

Reblogging this since i’m working on my book actively.

Not So Berry Legacy Challenge

Do you like the rainbow? Do you like the idea of playing with berry Sims but hate berry Sims? Do you want to mess around with aspects of the game you’ve never used before? Boy, do I have the challenge for you!

Welcome to the Not So Berry Legacy Challenge, a ten generation legacy with a focus on bright colors and new experiences.

Basic Rules:

  1. Each heir must represent the color of the generation (i.e. hair, makeup, clothing), but brightly colored skin is not necessary (these aren’t actually berry Sims, that’s the joke). Of course, this is optional but a big portion of the fun.
  2. The colors of the spouses don’t matter as they aren’t part of the challenge. Unless otherwise stated you can do whatever you please with them.
  3. Money cheats can be used, but not excessively. Suggestion: use freerealestate for your first home, but no cheats afterward.
  4. You may live wherever you please unless something is specified in the rules of a generation.
  5. Every generation is supposed to complete both the career and aspiration of the heir unless explicitly stated otherwise.
  6. Keep the lifespan on normal.
  7. If you play this challenge and want to share it with us, go ahead and post with #notsoberry so we can see!

My good friend @alwaysimming and I kind of created this challenge on accident, but I think it turned out pretty great. We wanted to make something that forced us to play with parts of the game we’ve never explored before. Hopefully you’ll have fun too. You can follow our gameplay on @mintiphresh and @lea-fey (pronounced “minty fresh” and “leafy”)!

The Sims 4 Musicals Challenge!

The Musicals Legacy Challenge

Basic rules: Live in a starter home at the start of every generation, in whatever world you want, unless otherwise specified. Lifespan on Normal. If you fail to complete any part of any generation, you fail the challenge. If your favorite isn’t in the challenge, don’t worry! You can choose to add any characters you love and choose just how much your story is like that of the musical. Above all, have fun, my fellow thespians!

Note: This post contains spoilers for the following musicals: Hamilton, Tuck Everlasting, Mamma Mia, Waitress, Heathers, Wicked, Dear Evan Hansen, La La Land, Legally Blonde, and Little Shop of Horrors. I warned you.

I tried to make this as gender neutral and open for interpretation as possible. You don’t have to follow the musicals exactly! I also tried to make other options for those who don’t have all the packs! (Like me!!) Be creative with your material and make the stories into your own. Have fun! Gen 1: Hamilton You are an orphan with big dreams, whose only goal is to succeed. You want to start a legacy, plant seeds in a garden you’ll never get to see. -Traits: Ambitious, Genius, Self Assured -Successful Lineage aspiration (Must Complete) -Politician career (Writing if City Living isn’t owned) -Master the writing skill

-Become good friends with a coworker with the Perfectionist trait. -Have an affair as an adult, causing you and your spouse to grow distant. (You can only talk to your spouse once a day) -Have at least four children, one of which dies as a young adult. After this, you move to a different world, and you may become close again with your spouse.

-Lose your friendship with your coworker after a fight.

-You must die in the same way your child did, in the same place.

Gen 2: Tuck Everlasting

Your life has never been the same since your mother and sibling died, and the house has been terribly quiet and boring since. You want adventure! You want to go to the fair! You want… To know what’s up with your neighbors? -Traits: Loves the Outdoors, Noncommittal, Dance Machine (Cheerful if Get Together isn’t owned)

-Soulmate Aspiration

-Go to every festival. (If City Living isn’t owned, go to a park twice a week)

-Get to level 6 fishing, and master the dancing skill. (If Get together isn’t owned, master the Charisma skill)

-Find and keep a frog.

-As a child, meet your neighbor, a teenage sim, for the first time. You become good friends almost instantly. You see them drink life essence, to which their family responds by kidnapping you. (Add yourself to their household first, so you may control this) (Their home must have the Private Dwelling lot trait. There must be a cowplant on the lot)

-During your time there, you must become friends with everyone in the household, and good friends with the teenage sim.

-You ultimately refuse to drink the life essence, and go back to your home with your family.

-Your neighbors then move away. You can never speak to them again.

-You can work any job, marry any sim, and have as many children as you want.

-However, you must only marry once, and cannot change jobs.

-The teenage sim decides to watch over your family. Be sure they do not age from a teenager. (Cheat this) Every heir from this point on must become good friends with them. They can date your sims as a teen if wanted, but cannot marry them.

Gen 3: Mamma Mia!

Your family was wonderful, but when it came to it, they didn’t want the same things you did. You want to be a singer. You just hope your life will turn out the way you want it to. -Traits: Romantic, Goofball, Music Lover -Musical Genius aspiration

-Get to at least level 7 Singing skill (Guitar if City Living is not owned) and level 5 Handiness -Start in the entertainer career (Musician Branch) and get up to Level 6 before you have your child. (If you have twins or triplets it’s fine) -Try for Baby with three different people as a young adult. Do not speak to them again until your child is a young adult.* -After you have your child, switch careers to Business (Management branch) -When your child becomes a young adult, meet one of the three people again. Marry them within two days of seeing them again.

*(Note: It is best to use the risky woohoo mod for this.) Gen 4: Waitress

You were always close with your mother, but you clearly inherited her bad luck with dating. It’s okay though. You just bake all of your feelings into a pie. This one’s called, “Bad Luck Blackberry Pie.” Is that okay to write on the menu?

-Traits: Creative, Perfectionist, Gloomy

-Soulmate aspiration

-Master the baking skill (Gourmet Cooking if Get to Work is not owned)

-Cook something every day

-Get to level 7 of the Culinary Career, but cannot be promoted from that.

-Marry your high school sweetheart. (Must have the Mean and Jealous traits) He was better to you then, but now as adults he is very mean and abusive to you.

-Have only one child (No twins/triplets)

-Have an affair with a married sim, break it off mutually after the child is born.

-Divorce your spouse immediately after the child is born.

-Do not remarry

-If you would like to, you may quit your job and open a bakery after the child is born. However this is not required if you do not have Get to Work. If you choose to do so, you must name the bakery after your child.

Gen 5: Heathers

celebacy [part 1]

puns, amaright? a sims 4 legacy challenge for ur sims that wanna Get Famous™

ok hi!!! lets get started! this legacy challenge is made 4 my darling @foursims

you need: the Get Famous EP

if you’re unsure of how the celebrity system works, a quick google will explain it all. it’s pretty important in this challenge! your goal in every gen is to maintain at least some sort of celebrity level and utilize the perks to your advantage.

all rules and goals are not there to restrict your game play, only to enhance it. if you decide to add rules/goals to make it harder or to ignore them to make it easier/more enjoyable, please do - you don’t have to ask me permission lol!

as mentioned, this is only part 1. i didn’t want to write a full 10 generation challenge because i wanted to test out 5 generations using the celebrity system first, as i’m not sure if it will become too boring or repetitive. there are still things i can include that increase fame so more gens may be made if you want them!

Gen 1: Ramsey

you start this challenge as a teen.
you’ve recently just dropped out of university/college where you were studying cooking. education just wasn’t for you, and lets face it, you’re actually a pretty shit cook. you blamed your teachers for this; you say they weren’t any good! your parents didn’t believe you and disapproved of your decision to leave school. so you’re out on your own in the world! you decide to move to the Hollywood of sims in order to prove to your teachers and most importantly your family, that you will be the best and youngest chef!

traits: gloomy, foodie, hot headed

aspiration: master chef

your goals:

- get to level 10 cooking + gourmet cooking - get to at least level 5 baking - reach level 10 in the cooking career (food branch) - once you have maxed out your career (or feel you can do it during), you must buy and own a restaurant and have it reach at least 4 stars  - marry a co-worker. having the foodie trait also is a bonus!! - have 2 children - write at least 1 cook book - increase your celebrity level passively by posting on social media and visiting clubs ect.

Gen 2: Hepburn

you were the popular girl/boy in school and lets be honest, you loved it. you were always picked first, always had a flock of sims crushing after you, and everyone wanted to be your friend. this increased your ego, and it followed you into later life.
complete the social butterfly aspiration as a child

traits: self-absorbed, outgoing, ambitious

aspiration: master actor

your goals:

- get to level 10 acting + charisma - get to at least level 5 comedy + dancing - marry another celebrity (no one less than your own celeb level) - reach maximum celebrity level (positive)  - have 5 children!!!!! - reach at least 50,000 followers on social media - reach level 10 of the acting career (your choice of producers ect.) - have an affair once all your children are born. keep this a secret forever… unless the paparazi catch you ;)  - win at least 2 award nights - become best friends with olivia and judith (the townies) + make a club with them

Gen 3: King

you were always in the spotlight, and you hated it. everyone wanted to be your friend because of your money and parents. all you wanted to do was be alone and read.

traits: non-committal, loner, bookworm

aspiration: best selling author

your goals:

- reach level 10 writing + logic - reach at least level 5 in gardening  - reach level 10 writing career (author path) and then quit - basically all you do is write lols - marry for a little while - have 1 child (OR twins) - divorce when you reach adulthood - have an average friendship with your children, you aren’t that close

Gen 4: Gogh

you didn’t really have the best relationship with your parents and you were made fun of at school because your parents were divorced. you turned to the only thing that really made you happy: painting and drawing

traits: unflirty, creative, good

aspiration: painter extraordinaire

your goals:

- meet the love of your life in high school but don’t profess your love till nearly adulthood - start drawing as a child  - reach level 10 painting + parenting  - create at least 20 masterpieces in your lifetime  -  reach at least level 5 photography  - run your own art gallery once in adulthood  - have 3 children at least  - always be loyal to your partner - be best friends with all of your children

Gen 5: Rupaul

you had the best upbringing and had everything you ever asked for. you were surrounded by art as a child, and this flowed into your adult life with the need to be colorful and fashionable in every occasion.

traits: perfectionist, neat, insider

aspiration: friend of the world

your goals:

- reach level 10 of the style influence career (either branch)  - maintain your celebrity profile by posting makeup and fashion videos  - fangirl over real celebs a LOT - run a club thats to do with art and fashion! (And probably gossiping) - reach level 10 media production  - reach at least level 5 of mixology skill + charisma + comedy  - throw weekly parties and always attempt to invite the biggest celebrity you know. you win once they attend - have at least 5 relationships over teen - young adult - marry the second person you dated once you hit adulthood  - have as many children as you want!

the zodiac legacy challenge

info:

this challenge spans over 5 generations but feel free to stop whenever you’d like or continue onto making your own gens with the left out signs
ofc i’ve only used 5 signs so im sorry if yours is left out, it wasnt for any reason
some of the traits might seem a little “off” because i tried to not use the same trait twice and so went for something close but not exactly correct
i’ve planned another 5 gens to make the legacy a full 10-gen legacy but i’ll see how this is taken first!

rules:

  • your sims can look however you like
  • all cheats are allowed apart from giving your household extra moneys (yes even free real estate, but ONLY when moving heirs or giving siblings/parents new houses, not in the middle of a generation for a bigger house)
  • each generation should be completed before moving your heir (or previous heirs) out

gen 1: aries

your sim has come from a wealthy family that lived in willow creek. they ran a factory that brought in heaps of money. however, after your father passed away, and your mother became ill, the business fell into bankrupcy. unable to work due to caring for your mother, and being an only child, you struggle imesnley with money. when your mother passes away, you miss her greatley, but also feel a massive weight lift from your shoulders. you can finally live your life again. you decide to start fresh in a new city and dream of living the luxurious life that your parents had.

traits: hot-headed, confident, snob aspiration: fabulously wealthy

  • make one (1) young adult sim, male or female
  • move them into the city into a tlc aparment: unfurnished!!
  • use the cheat: testingcheats on, and then, money 5000 to set your household funds to 5,000 simoleans. these funds are your starting amount to decorate your house and give your sim their basic needs.*
  • your goal is to do anything and everything you can in order to make money… within reason
  • this includes your day job in the business career (either branch) up to level 10
  • you should have 1 enemy that is a co-worker
  • you should marry a co-worker and be married as an adult
  • once you marry your co-worker you are allowed to swap their job
  • if they stay in the business career try to have them choose different branches
  • you have 2 children as an adult
  • you must reach level 10 handiness and charisma
  • you must complete your aspiration
  • you must collect all snow globes
  • you may not move out of san myshuno but you can change apartments

*this took forever to work for me! i dont know what i did to make it work. i tried simply typing money 5000 so many times (which is what you’re supposed to do), then tried  sims.modify_funds-5000, which didnt work, then sims.modify_funds - “money amount” without the quotation marks and then FINALLY simply typing in money 5000 worked! so idk if theres a need for sims.modify_funds to be entered before typing in money 5000??? who knows.

gen 2: taurus

your parents were very work orientated and, althought they loved you, you would’ve prefered them to show it through nurturing instead of gifts and money. your dream isn’t to have lots of money, but to have a happy family

traits: family oriented, jealous, perfectionist aspiration: big happy family

  • move out of san myshuno to any other city
  • date one (1) sim throughout your teenager years, thinking he/she is the one
  • break up as you age up (end of teen or start of young adult)
  • meet your future wife/husband in a bar while you’re still heartbroken
  • become best friends before entering a romantic relationship with them
  • marry almost straight away and get pregnant on the wedding night
  • have at least 4 children
  • always have a family dog
  • reach level 10 in parenting, cooking and baking
  • complete your aspiration
  • your children must all be part of scouts
  • your children must all have good grades
  • always help with projects and homework
  • make your money by selling baking goods and occassional paintings and books. your spouse should be the breadwinner
  • try to take the kids out to different venues over the weekends

gen 3: cancer

your parents brought you up very very well. you’re polite and love to make others smile. however, you were slightly bubble wrapped as a child and so you are afraid of scary things in the big wild world. time to start your own adventure…

traits: creative, good, squeamish aspiration: friend of the world

  • you must have the polite and responsible traits from childhood
  • keep up maxed out friendships with both parents
  • you must stay at least good friends with all your siblings
  • voulenteer at least once a week with your family (or alone) or donate to charity
  • begin in the politics career (your choice of cause), reach level 5, then quit
  • passivley make money from painting art
  • reach level 10 painting and singing
  • go to the flea market every time it’s open and sell paintings
  • vist them/invite them over once a week at least
  • reach level 10 of the artist career (either branch)
  • marry your first love
  • your spouse must be in the entertainment career or arts career
  • have 1 child
  • have your child and grandparents be very very close
  • complete your aspiration

gen 4: gemini

your parents had a love of art, but you have a love of… love? and maybe too much of it… but secretley deep down, you just want to find “the one”.

traits: genius, non-commital, romantic aspiration: serial romantic then soul mate

  • you must complete the serial romantic aspiration and then complete the soul mate aspiration
  • achieve level 10 in logic and rocket building skills

  • visit sixam at least twice
  • have at least one romatic relationship with an alien (and marry them if possible)
  • have two children from two seperate partners
  • have bad relationships with both of the other parents
  • once the serial romantic aspiration is complete, you are free to choose who your sim marries
  • they must propose on a night out on a date (anywhere)
  • have one child with your married partner

gen 5: Leo

you never got to know your dad too well because your mum never seemed to like him. you trusted her judgement but it still upset you to grow up without a father figure. you became the class clown and dream of never growing up…

traits: cheerful, goofball, lazy aspiration: joke star

  • reach level 10 in the entertainment career (comedic branch obviously)
  • reach level 10 comedy and guitar
  • run a joke-telling/prankesters club
  • flunk off school whenever you are offered too (i.e, get the phone call to “go play hookie”)
  • don’t get a part time job or join scouts as a child
  • have 5 cats as a young adult
  • meet your father - you decide what relationship they have
  • never pursue any romantic relationships until adulthood
  • have a one night stand and get them pregnant (you can have more than one if the first does not result in pregnancy, however it MUST be with a different sim)
  • invite the mother and child to come and live with you
  • have two more children with her
  • marry as elders

part two coming soon…

Shadow Moon Challenge

Hello! I’m Simbones! *waves*

I created this challenge as I never play with Vampires anymore and I thought it would be great idea to combine general gameplay with Vampire generations.

This challenge is based on the same style of the Not So Berry challenge, which I love and I enjoy the general layout so I wanted to create a similar style challenge but with Occults. You don’t have to stick to any colours for this Challenge, I just wanted to keep the format the same. If you haven’t already, you can check out the NSB Challenge here.

You can follow my gameplay over on my blog @simbonez

Use the hashtag #shadowmoon to share your stories!

RULES:

  • There are some notes on some Gen rules, I have tried to explain as much as I can, but ultimately how you play this challenge, story wise is up to you.
  • Gender is not specific to any Generation, apart from Gen 2, where you must birth a son, a ‘male heir’ this will be the first born male. This ‘heir’ however is a false heir and will not be the heir to the next generation, Gen 3.
  • If a sim specifies that they have a coven, you must make a coven using the GTW group feature. You may put whoever in this coven, the only rule is that they vampires.
  • If another occult is mentioned in a Gen, e.g A Witch, give them the Vampire occult.
  • Money cheats can be used, but only to purchase a Gen’s first home, this must be realistic however, especially if they have money tasks in their rules.
  • If their is no career specified for a gen, you can choose if they have a career or not, such as the vampire aspiration gens.

Explanations:

  • Bloodline - a direct descendant of your selected sim.
  • Pureblood - a ‘true’ vampire, a sim that has not been turned, but is a descendant from vampire parents.
  • Coven - A group of vampires using GTW Clubs. If a sim specifies that they have a coven, you must make a coven using the GTW Club feature. You may put whoever in this coven, the only rule is that they are vampires.

Let me know if you have any questions! I haven’t yet play-tested, so let me know if you find any conflicts within the story line!

I hope you enjoy!

Popular Fiction Legacy Challenge

Love young adult fiction and The Sims 4? Well here’s an 8-generation legacy challenge that fuses the two, creating a unique challenge that compliments your favorite fictional characters!

Rules:

  • Play on normal lifespan
  • Heirs can be any gender
  • Heirs are player-decided unless stated otherwise
  • Some money cheats can be used. For instance, use freerealestate for your first house but no money cheats afterwards

Gen 1: Twilight

You are a Carlisle-esque figure. Despite wanting to become a wise and powerful vampire, you have a soft spot for humans. That is why you decide to become a doctor to help your human friends - even though your thirst may get the best of you every once in a while.

Edit: It has come to my attention that you can’t woohoo in a coffin if you’re a good vampire, so if you want the trait family-oriented rather than good, that would work too

  • Have red eyes (in human form) and the genius, good (or family-oriented), and vegetarian traits, and complete the Master Vampire aspiration
  • Must become a vampire as a young adult or start as a vampire in CAS
  • Complete the pipe organ and vampire lore skills and complete the doctor career
  • Must marry a human, and have a human heir

Gen 2: Divergent

Having grown up with a family so different from yourself, you’ve always felt that you didn’t belong to the “faction” you were born. That is why, when you grow up, you abandon your family and go off into a dangerous career, in the hopes that you will find somewhere where you belong

  • Have the loner, neat, and unflirty traits and complete the Soulmate aspiration
  • Have long hair for most of life then chop it short as an adult
  • Complete the logic, charisma, and handiness skills
  • Master the secret agent career (diamond agent branch)
  • Complete the space prints collection
  • Have at least 2 children

Gen 3: Harry Potter

Growing up, your parents had dangerous jobs and you didn’t get along with one of your aunts/uncles. When you grow up, you want your team of like-minded heroes to be top of the food chain, and you become fascinated with more ~magical~ abilities.

  • Wear glasses and have mother’s eyes (you’re allowed to cheat to make this happen)
  • Must have the insider, geek, and bookworm traits and complete the Outdoor Enthusiast aspiration
  • Master herbalism, wellness, and writing skills and complete the writing career (either branch)
  • Have a negative relationship with one of their aunts/uncles
  • Be the leader of a popular club (your hogwarts house) and marry a clubmate
  • Have two children that are far apart in age. The older will be the heir.

Gen 4: Hunger Games

Life is a battle of survival of the fittest, and you will come out on top! You love the harshness of the outdoors, but secretly, you have a hidden musical side you don’t like showing to many people. You have a younger sibling who you would protect with your life and a wish to raise your family in the safest environment possible.

  • Have the loves the outdoors, music lover, and family-oriented traits and complete the Super Parent aspiration
  • (Optional) Have a braided hairstyle
  • Must complete the parenting and singing skills, and master one instrument
  • Master the entertainer career (musician branch)
  • Be a caretaker of a younger sibling until they are a young adult and maintain a strong relationship
  • Must have a teenage love interest who they ultimately leave for a blonde newcomer
  • (Optional) Complete the frogs collection

Gen 5: The Perks of Being a Wallflower

You’ve always just preferred nature to people, but that might be just because you don’t really fit in. As a young adult, you try to be in the popular group by attending a lot of parties, but inevitably, you find that everything you’ve ever wanted has been beside you the whole time in the form of your best friend.

  • Have the dance machine, outgoing, and romantic traits, and complete the Party Animal aspiration
  • Have a bright, unnatural hair color
  • Complete the gardener career (either branch)
  • Master the flower arranging, mixology, and dancing skill
  • Have a flower garden
  • Throw one of every party and gain some kind of medal (if you’re hardcore, aim for gold in everything)
  • Marry your best friend as an adult

Gen 6: Maze Runner

Run run as fast as you can! You can’t catch me, I’m…a maze runner. You love puzzles and you love being active, which is probably why you became a detective and a jungle explorer all in one!

  • Must have the active, creative, and kleptomaniac traits and complete the Jungle Explorer aspiration
  • Complete the detective career
  • Master fitness, salvadoran culture, and archeology skill
  • Finish at least 2 temples
  • Have a treasure/archeology room full of your findings
  • Find both a best friend and a spouse within your coworkers

Gen 8: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children

Why are you so peculiar? Maybe it’s because you’re secretly more exceptional than everyone else. After a while, you realize that you could just make a peculiar family to match your peculiar self, and end up moving in a with a familiar figure from the past…

  • Must have the childish, erratic, and goofball traits and complete the Vampire Family aspiration
  • Complete the Tech Guru career (either branch)
  • Master the video gaming and programming skills
  • Turn your love interest into a vampire and marry them
  • Adopt at least one child to later turn into a vampire
  • Move in with the legacy founder and beat them in a vampiric spar
  • Live happily ever after with your immortal family

~ The End ~

I created this challenge while playing the Not So Berry challenge. It’s kind of a follow-up challenge that covers some things the Not So Berry challenge didn’t

- Please let me know if you do it and if you have any problems!
