I’ve seen a lot of curious people wanting to dive into classical music but don’t know where to start, so I have written out a list of pieces to listen to depending on mood. I’ve only put out a few, but please add more if you want to. hope this helps y’all out. :)

stereotypical delightful classical music:

if you need to chill:

if you need to sleep:

if you need to wake up:

if you are feeling very proud:

if you feel really excited:

if you are angry and you want to take a baseball bat and start hitting a bush:

if you want to cry for a really long time:

if you want to feel like you’re on an adventure:

if you want chills:

if you want to study:

if you really want to dance:

if you want to start bouncing in your chair:

if you’re about to pass out and you need energy:

if you want to hear suspense within music:

if you want a jazzy/classical feel:

if you want to feel emotional with no explanation:

if you want to sit back and have a nice cup of tea:

pieces that don’t really have a valid explanation:

pieces that just sound really cool:

if you feel like listening to concertos all day (I do not recommend doing that):

and if you really just hate classical music in general:

a lot of these pieces apply in multiple categories, but I sorted them by which I think they match the most. have fun exploring classical music!

also, thank you to viola-ology and iwillsavemyworld for adding on! if you would like to add on your own suggestions, please reblog and add on or message me so I can give you credit for the suggestion!

I love this list!

Don’t get them stuck in your head you’ll never find them again if you don’t have this post saved fair warning. “That one song with the really killer flute bit,” doesn’t work as a song search.

So important

The Fates each have a certain pattern on their clothing—Kay/Lachesis with spots; Yvette/Clotho with crescents(??) (I still don’t know how to describe them, but that’s what I’ll call them); and Jewelle/Atropos with little squiggles.

When it comes to their turbans, however, something I’ve noticed is that they don’t correspond with their certain pattern, aside from Jewelle’s (for the most part). Kay and Yvette have their patterns switched; Yvette with spots and Kay with the crescents.

BUT if you look closely at Kay’s and Jewelle’s turbans, they also have each other’s patterns on there too.

(The squiggles are at the bottom of Kay’s turban—below the knot.)

Yvette and Jewelle also tie theirs off with the same black fabric that has white spots.

I always thought nothing of it—maybe they just wanted to do it for fun or whatever reason that’s not as significant as I’m making it out to be—but it wasn’t until 15 minutes ago I realized it probably symbolizes unity between the Fates. How they share one mind and act as one, y’know ??

“I’m not here to speak, I’m sure as fuck not here to lecture anybody, but I will tell you what I have seen. And I have seen what happens when people organize, and I have seen what happens when the electorate and the citizenry know themselves and the sleeping dragon that they are, and I know what happens when they act and they act directly. I also know what happens when old pious men make laws about what women should and shouldn’t do. I know this ‘cause I’ve seen direct action from the very state that I hail from, the nation state which was created 100 years ago. And what I would say also, is just to remember where power lies and remind politicians where power lies, ‘cause the biggest thing they fear is losing their fucking jobs. And to men, also:  just be wary of any mentality that would make cattle or make vessels of women, because that same mentality will make machines and tools of you, and make monsters of you. Just remember where power is, just remember what the electorate can do.”
