Women of Letters

Charlie had never meet another woman of letters. So when she heard word that she wasn’t the only one she got rather excited. She thought for the longest time she was the only one. Charlie dressed up on her best which consider her jeans and her lord of the rings top. @confusedcambion

“Hello Charlie, I’m Jasmine. I been wanting to meet you for a very long time.” I held my hand out for her to shake.

“It’s nice to meet you Jasmine. I’ve been waiting to meet you since I found out there was another Women of Letters” Charlie shook her hand.

“Thank you, it’s a living that’s for sure. I rarely catch a break. But I love the job and everything that comes with it. It was Gabe’s idea for me to become one. So, I took him up on the offer.

“Your welcome, it’s definitely a job and I like it it’s quite interesting. It was the winchesters idea ”

“We are both very lucky”

“Yes we are very lucky and we’re the first women of letters. I wonder if there’s more of them? What do you do in your spare time? ” Charlie asked.

I hang out at the bunker with the boys or with my girlfriend. So help Claire on hunts.

(OOC:can we continue tomorrow, I have school)

“Nice I help same Sam and Dean from time to time. I’m a part time hunter. I haven’t meet a girl that I really like yet.” (OOC: yep we can continue tomorrow )

"Well I hope you find someone Charlie, you deserve it" I said with a smile.

A little Visit

I was absolutely exhausted. Not to mention sore as hell. Fighting a whole pack of werewolves will do that to you, I guess. I brought the car to a stop, taking a moment to stretch.

“Alrighty. Bunker sweet bunker.” I laughed to Jass. I grabbed my bag that laid in the back seat.

I know I shouldn’t be nervous to met An, but I was. I don’t have too much experience with small kids, especially those who were half angel. I swallowed my nerves and walked up to the door of the bunker and knocked.

Cas instinctively clutched a frightened Anael to his chest when he heard knocking at the door.

“Shhh…” he soothed her as he went to open the door. “It’s probably just Claire. She’s a good person. She’s come to meet you.”

He opened the door to find Claire and Jass on the other side, their bags in hand and looking exhausted.

“Hey, Cas…” I smiled when I saw An in his arms. She was a cute kid with Dean’s green eyes. “Hello, you must be An. I’m Claire.” I debated on sticking my hand out for her to take, but that was stupid. She’s like two.

“Please, come in, Claire. Dean and I were just in the middle of… well, attempting to find out more of An’s story.”

He shuffled them inside, returning to Dean’s side.

Hello cas I said as I walked with Claire I signed hello to an and let her know I was a friend. ( OOC:I’m a little drunk sorry for the misspelling)

An peered at them with her /heterochromatic/ eyes, unsure of how she felt about them just yet. She wanted to get to know them better before she decided whether she liked them or not… they seemed nice. She hesitantly signed ‘Hi’ before burying her face in Vati’s shoulder.

“Hi, sweetheart,” Dean greeted Jass, giving her a one armed hug and hitching Charles up a bit on his right hip, bouncing him a bit. “Hey, Claire. How are you?”

The timing was a bit awkward because Dean knew he still looked like shit and the situation had been tense prior to their arrival. 

Jasmine said hello to alt!dean missing him .“how’s Charles do you need help? I perfectly capable.

“Actually, could you and Claire watch him? He needs some play time and I’m exhausted from the drive here.” Dean posed, smooching his baby’s forehead. “Go see sissie, Charlie.”

Dean shifted his hold on Charles so Jass could take him. He didn’t want to part with his son, but he needed to help Anael and Cas and Charles didn’t need to be around for it.

Jass took an hoping she would like her, thank god she did. She began playing with an, hoping she was entertained. Very tired jass continued playing with an.

I took Charles in my arms somewhat timidly. Even though I now I wasn’t, I looked to Cas you see if I was holding the little boy wrong. I was so not prepared to babysit.

“Hey Jass, Dean and I are going to take Anael into the kitchen for a bit to see if we can get her to tell us more about her past. So you mind helping Claire with Charles in the meantime?”

Cas picked up An, cuddling her to his chest just beneath his trench coat.

An was silently sobbing into Vati’s shoulder with her thumb in her mouth. She knew they were nice girls and she liked them- Jass was pretty fun- but she needed Vati’s warmth and protective hold to feel safe. She didn’t like being separated even if it was just across the room.

I looked down at Charles who seemed continent and I assumed was entertaining himself. I laughed at myself for getting so nervous. I mean, I fight monsters for a living.

“I think I can handle Charles. After all Jass and I just fought a cult of werewolves. Speaking about that, if you’re okay to talk after… whatever you’re doing please come get me.” I said looking at Cas.

Jass helped with Charles as much as she can but she was also playful. That was here problem. With that the kids would never go to sleep.oops!

I noticed Jass was getting exhausted. I tired to think of something that would entertain the kid.

I grabbed my phone and sat Charles in my lap. I let him touch the screen and pull up the camera. He giggled and happily entertained himself. I sighed being able to take a slight break.

I glanced at Claire. I said.“when would we ever truly get a break… I said after drinking three shots of rum…

“Guess we don’t…” I looked at Jass, wondering what exactly was wrong. I don’t think someone would down shots of something that strong if there wasn’t something weighing on their mind.

“Claire I’m fine ” I said knowing that it was a lie. I’m gonna take care of Charles….

I looked down at Charles again. His eyes were fluttering open, attempting to stay awake.

“Jass he’s fine. But you aren’t. What’s wrong?”

“I just feel like I don’t belong, I’m not apart of this family” I said taking another shot.

I looked down.

“Join the club.”

“I’m glad you can relate , but your apart of this family more than I am”

“How? You’re best friends with Cas. You can talk to Winchesters so easily. Gaberial adores you. Me? I’m Cas’s vessel’s poor excuse of a daughter. I’m literally only here because Cas feels guilty. While he actually likes you, chooses to be with you.”

Charles was finally asleep, I rested his head on the pallet of blankets I made for him. Suddenly realising I had tears in my eyes.

“Claire, just because I’m easy to talk to doesn’t make me more part of a family than you"I said as I wipe the tears out of your eyes.

I jumped at the sudden contact. I wasn’t use to people touching me. I kept most–well, if I’m being honest, all–at arms length. But I let her be, I didn’t know why.

“That’s not what I meant. You’re way more… I don’t know? You fit better. You’re more similar to them. I’m just a human. Just a hunter, and a poor one at that. I have to have people rescue me or help all the time. You don’t. You’re strong, you’re like a super hero.”

“No I’m not Claire…”

I broke from her touch.

“Yes you are. You can teleport, throw things using your mind, what about that doesn’t sound awesome?”

“ I didn’t ask for it,Claire…”

“Think anyone askes for anything? Think I asked to be the way I am? You think I asked for the way I always fall for people I cam never have? Or for my dad to be taken away by a magic angel? Or for the magic angel to actually not be an asshole? And for me to feel so guilty about trying to hate him but hating myself for forgiving him? You think–you think–” I stopped myself before the tears came. My throat burned. God I hated crying.

I glanced back to Charels his eyes were slightly opened. I realised how loud I’d gotten. I smooth the hair on the top of his head. Trying to get him to sleep again.

“Clarie, what’s going on” I said as I took Charles from her arms.

“I don’t know. Just… stupid emotions.” I sighed.

“If I could give you my powers I would”

“If I could take them I would. In a heart beat. Maybe I’d feel better then.” I chuckled.

Maybe I should take a shot of rum. Then again, I’m suppose to be taking care of Charels. I think there should be one sober care giver.

Just because I’m drunk doesn’t mean I’m a bad care taker…

I laughed. “Not what I meant Jass. I just think that the other Dean might not appreciate if the people he handed his kid too are both drunk.”

*laughs* l *Lays on your lap, tries to fall asleep*

I could feel my face turning red. I guess I really wasn’t use to this much contact.

“Hey, Jass…” I whispered, not wanting to wake her if she had already fallen alseep.

I woke up and went to my room the bunker “let me know if you need anything” I said.

“Oh,” I could feel my ears buring. “Uh, sure.”

Her moving wasn’t what I meant to happen, but… okay.

“Night Claire”

“Night…”

I sighed. Charles was looking at me now.

“What?” I said defensively. Then feeling stupid because I was talking to a toddler.

I woke up with numerous of empty bottles next to me and my head was pounding. “How drunk did I get last night?” I asked myself as I picked up the bottles and went to throw them away. Trying not to wake anyone.

I woke up to the subtle clang of bottles in another room. I realised I still had Charles in my arms. Who was starting to stir awake. “Hey, Dean? Cas?” I called. Charles whined and my heart dropped. I didn’t think I could handle a crying kid by myself. I hoped they were done with whatever they needed to do. ( @hellagayangelofthelord @atmaandauraofdean @anmariescomet )

I come out of my room carefully so I don’t wake iris “Claire I’ll help you” I take Charles and rock him .

“Oh, thank you.” I said handing Charles to Jass. “Have a hangover?” I grinned.

"Not exactly" I said rethinking my answer "kind of"
