Nanami rolled his head and held the back of his neck as his mouth pulled down into a deeper scowl. The tension in his upper body muscles was always so high. It was a wonder he didn't get cramps through his shoulders more often. Though it was hard not to be tense when the person he was being paid to watch always seemed to find a way to wiggle their way out of his view, no matter how much attention he paid or how strict he was with communication.

Erwin is a busy man, but he'd always make time for you if you required it. In the beginning of your cold, he believed when you said you were fine and you could continue like normal. But when Erwin sees just how much your cold is wearing you down, he gently ushers you to bed. Unless it's bad, he's not going to call out of work, but he's bringing you comfort food and a new movie each night after work. Erwin makes sure before he leaves in the morning that you have a water, an electrolyte bottle, snacks, and enough supplies so you barely have to get out of bed until he gets home. Expect a lot of forehead and hand kisses since he can't kiss you on the lips.

"Are you ready?" The voice of your lover called out softly into the room. You looked over and met Armin's gaze, a smile spreading on your face when you saw him home from the errands he said he had.

"I'm ready!" You nodded and stood from where you were freshening up at. He held his hand out and led you out of the house. Armin hadn't told you anything besides that he had something planned and asked you to get dressed once you got home, so, you did.

"I have everything all set up for us." He chattered on excitedly, squeezing your hand as he pulled back some hanging vines of a willow tree. In doing so, he revealed an entire picnic laid out in the meadow just beyond the tree. A small gasp left you at the sight and you beamed happily at Armin, who was equally excited to see your reaction to the surprise date.

"Come and sit down!" He gently pulled you after him, gesturing for you to sit before following suit. It was secluded and intimate - it felt like you were the only two people in the entire world. "Armin this is... It's..."

"Do you like it?" His eyes widened nervously, afraid you would say no, or say that you hated it. Not because you were picky, but because of his anxiety, always fearing the worst when it came to pleasing others.

"It's gorgeous." You smiled and leaned over to kiss him, giggling quietly when his cheeks blushed.

"I-I'm glad. I wanted you to relax today, you deserve it, angel. You've been working so hard lately." Armin tenderly caressed your cheek before handing out servings of the food he made.

The sun shone brightly above you, the birds chirping in the trees as you ate together. You both talked about how your day went and what you had planned for the rest of the week. Armin was good, committing nearly everything you were saying to memory and comparing it with his own schedule. It's how he knew exactly when to plan things like this, always knowing what days were more stressful for you.

Once you had your fill of food, you leaned back on your hands, watching the clouds inch across the sky lazily. Armin pulled out his camera and snapped pictures of your surroundings. One of the willow tree. One of the red cardinal on the oak tree. One of the bunny shaped cloud you pointed out. As he scanned for another subject, he watched through the lens as a butterfly landed on your nose, snapping a shot of it.

Laughing gently, he lowered the camera and watched as you went cross eyed to look at the insect. "See, you must look like a flower even to the butterfly!" Armin chimed in as the butterfly flapped its wings on your face. He snapped a few more pictures before watching again, until the small creature flew away and allowed you to relax. He put the camera down and you frowned, "No more pictures?"

Shaking his head with a soft laugh, he smiled before answering, "Why bother? I just took the most gorgeous photo of my entire life. Nothing could ever top that, not even a painting by da Vinci himself!"
