Long time no see! It's officially been a year since my last post on this blog, so I feel it's finally time to announce that I will no longer be updating this project.
Flim-flam-and-a-baby was created completely on a whim. I had the idea rattling around in my brain for a while, and I just wanted a new outlet to share about my comfort characters. I was going through a really difficult time, and I created this story as a fun project to make me feel a little better. And holy wow it succeeded! The most surprising thing that has ever happened to me on tumblr was the positive reception to this blog. I have convinced myself for a long time that no one wanted to hear my silly little stories about these goobers, or even that people found it annoying when I talked about them, but this blog proved me wrong ten fold. I never expected this blog to get past like, 10 friends and a few stragglers. As of now, it has over 500 followers! I literally cannot express how much that support means to me. It may just be a follow for a silly little comic, but it went a long way in proving to me that people like my stories, and want to hear what I have to say. Learning to share something I hold so close to my heart was difficult, but the warm reception I got from all of you was more than worth it. I know that's a little deep for an mlp fan comic lol, but really, it means so, so much to me.
However, full disclosure, I never had a plan for this blog lmao. If I remember correctly the first post was drawn and posted at 5 am from a hospital room. I was, in the most literal sense, making it up page by page. I know where I stopped is super unsatisfying, but I literally cannot offer a further story explanation, I never came up with it lmao. I lost steam for the project fairly quickly, I loved it too pieces of course, I just didn't have the drive to continue the story. I didn't want to leave this blog hanging because I've had a couple people ask me when I'll be updating it, so I wanted to make an official statement that it is discontinued. If you're a big flim flam bros fan, I do have a super casual doodle account at @flimflamblings. And,,,, if I were to create a much more goof centered episodic blog for them and the gang, it would be called @bros-n-cons . No promises though.
