Me, looking at save files started 6+ years ago: ... I have no idea what thats like... at all.. [continues to stare at the files, wondering why they're not updating]
The Pokémon Company dropped a major bomb this morning.. After 25 years... the journey is finally over. Ash and Pikachu only have 11 episodes left. Beginning in April, the Pokémon anime will have a new hero.
It's kinda bitter-sweet. Afterall, it's been 25 years since Ash and Pikachu first set out from Pallet Town - it's nice that the show is finally going in a new direction. You can only keep Ash from winning the Pokémon League so many times before it gets old. And now with him becoming World Champion, there's not much left for him to do. A fresh start with new characters is, in a way, looooong overdue and it'll be fun to see where the show goes from here.
But at the same time, it's sad to see these two go. A lot of fans (myself included) were 10 years old - just like Ash - when the series began. We've grown up following his adventure, learning valuable lessons along the way that have made us better people. Even as an adult, going back and watching older episodes just gives off a real sense of nostalgia and excitement that other shows and movies I've watched just don't seem to match.
This is a franchise I have been very passionate about since I was a little kid. It's one of those things that just resonates and is honestly hard to explain.
I'm gonna miss these two - c'mon! It's Ash and Pikachu! - but, I'm excited for the new adventures and seeing what else the world of Pokémon has to show us.

The Minecraft community lost a legend today. Alex aka Technoblade passed away this morning, surrounded by his loved ones following his battle with stage 4 cancer. He was kind, funny, humble in his success and an inspiration to many Minecraft gamers around the world - popular streamers and casual players alike. Heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends. His kindness and quick wit will be missed in the gaming community.
Rest In Peace, Techno.
