Brand was sturdier than Elias and for that he appreciated his maker. The differences between taking a woman and man was new to Damien but decided that both genders had its appeal to him. The men were stronger therefore a much harsher exchange could be done, the women were soft and every bit of them made the vampire want to sink his teeth in their flesh. In the following weeks, the fledgling would entice his sire in laying with one, two, a group of women between them and he offered the same invitation to the faerie.
But he would never tell Brand of Elias, not until much later on when he finally got his daylight ring.
Hours passed and strong limbs moved in a familiar rhythm and by the time they finished and laid in bed, Damien scoffed lightly as the original expressed his gratitude. “Indeed,” the fledgling nodded as he closed his eyes momentarily, quite pleased that he had conquered something so powerful. “Who knew?”
A soft laugh escaped the fledgling’s lips before inquiring what the holy men would think of them should they be caught in such a damnable situation. “I suppose I could slaughter them all,” he offered, smiling wickedly at the thought of it. His mind still lingered on the taste of faerie blood and how it aided him in walking in daylight.
There was no need to hide in the shadows anymore, not with Elias around.
Brand had had mostly fumbling experiences with women as a human, a few tumbles with some local girls and little else. After he’d been transformed and had slaked his initial bloodlust, he’d experienced everything he could with his new senses, including both women and men. Those had been quick and brutal and the memories were practically blurred, now, it had been so long. This experience with Damien was much fresher, much more exciting. Still, something in Brand was different than it had been before. While he wasn’t a youth fumbling to figure everything out, nor a newborn vampire drunk on his heightened senses, it was the fact that Damien was talented musically that had allowed this to happen. His fledgling had always been aesthetically pleasing but Brand hadn’t though about his appearance much further than that, hadn’t had any desire stoked in him until Damien made his advances and after their music lessons.
“I didn’t.” Brand admitted, honestly. He probably could’ve happily lived out many more centuries in the monasteries without such carnal pleasures and would do so again, once Damien eventually left him, but he was glad he’d rediscovered them, in any case. His amusement slipped away to a more troubled expression when Damien brought up the monks and Brand immediately shook his head at the suggestion. “No. There’s no need for that.” He respected these monks, even liked some of them, and Damien didn’t need to rampage like that. Brand was trying to teach him some measure of control, after all. That did bring up the question, however, if this was going to happen again or if doing it once had been enough. Brand had complicated feelings about the possibility of a repeat performance.
“Is this going to happen during all your music lessons?” Brand mused, a bit wryly, though his expression was more fond than annoyed when he looked at the other vampire.
