I hate hate hate hate how dog friendly everything is in the city now. Barring medical necessity, there is no reason to bring your dog to a restaurant, there is no reason to bring your dog to the grocery store, there is no reason to bring your dog to the nail salon. Dogs do not need to go everywhere you go why am I being forced to be around dogs all the time

There are are a fuckton of people with dog allergies (both mild and severe] who would love to exist out in public without having to worry about the constant presence of dogs in a place that does not require or need for them to be there.

There are plenty of outdoor places and actual pet friendly establishments you could take your dog to, but OP is specifically referring to basically every establishment that is not or doesn't specify that they are a "pet friendly" establishment that doesn't bother kicking people's dogs out when the dog owners break those rules and come in anyways.

On top of that, most dog owners (AND I SAID MOST. NOT ALL LMAO) are idiots that anthropomorphize their dogs, or don't train or tend to their dogs needs and so we get really anxious and aggressive dogs and people/dog unfriendly dogs that end up freaking their shit in public.

It's a health and safety hazard for everyone else involved. As well as a general common courtesy thing. It's like bringing your crying baby to a movie theater or screaming toddler to a fine dining restaurant.

This obviously excludes service dogs because they are properly trained and have an important job to do.

This isn't some kind of fandom discourse that has otherwise no basis in our current reality that people are just "getting mad about". This is shit that can and does affect the well-being of real people. You just sound like an inconsiderate dickhead. :/

Also I'm an insurance underwriter and dog bites are one of the most common types of claims in personal lines, I'm not running out of things to get mad about this is literally my field of expertise

If your plot feels flat, STUDY it! Your story might be lacking...

Stakes - What would happen if the protagonist failed? Would it really be such a bad thing if it happened?

Thematic relevance - Do the events of the story speak to a greater emotional or moral message? Is the conflict resolved in a way that befits the theme?

Urgency - How much time does the protagonist have to complete their goal? Are there multiple factors complicating the situation?

Drive - What motivates the protagonist? Are they an active player in the story, or are they repeatedly getting pushed around by external forces? Could you swap them out for a different character with no impact on the plot? On the flip side, do the other characters have sensible motivations of their own?

Yield - Is there foreshadowing? Do the protagonist's choices have unforeseen consequences down the road? Do they use knowledge or clues from the beginning, to help them in the end? Do they learn things about the other characters that weren't immediately obvious?

Thank you so much for this!

It's supposed to be plot holes fixing tips, but it sounds like cognitive behavioural therapy, ngl

"he would not fucking say that" but its about a character being a leftist. he would not fucking believe that

media literacy is knowing when a character would say "i dont vote. why are you bringing politics into this?" no matter how mad it makes you to hear somebody irl say the same thing

This goes for a good amount of the characters who are complained about "oh no they were a cop in the timeskip", a lot of the time they wouldn't have an issue with being a cop and it is perfectly in character.

The number of people who go like 'my beloved war criminal blorbo!' but then act like you poured a drink on them if you suggest they'd be a Republican is honestly pretty funny.
