Oh h e y!! I haven’t been here in 5ever, for several reasons tbh! If I do ever come back to Vivi though will be through a new blog. But writing have been slightly hard for me lately bc of irl stuff, even though I still try to!  You can find me on my personal @wantacookie , and a couple of other blogs (i haven’t been active on any very much, though I just wrote a bit today on one of them).

If you ever want to keep contact, ask me for them or something!  I have plans for Vivi actually, but I lost TONS of my icons so I gotta grab some courage first. ❤

other than that, I came here bc I SEE MATCHING STRAWHATS ICONS AROUND AND THAT’S AMAZING. VIVI APPROVES. thank you for coming to my ted talk.

Coughs to hide her nerves. She’s never hugged a princess before, but she knows for a fact that Vivi is deserving of one solely based on the opinions of her friends. So she gets a tight but still gentle squish!

This is one of the most badass decisions Vivi ever took. To destroy a 4000 years old palace in order to try to save her people. I love it. Please, never change.

This is such a short panel, but it’s so important. A KING bowing down to PIRATES. In order to thank them, for saving not his life, but the Kingdom, the people. Cobra said the Kingdom are the people.  These pirates brought his daughter back, helped in an impossible battle, willing to sacrifice everything for her.

A good example of the magnitude of this scene, do you remember Mulan? When the emperor bowed down to her, because she saved China?

How MUCH this means?

Cobra did the same there. And perhaps even more, because he was there in the bath with them, being nothing but a ‘common man’ just like them, putting himself in the same level.

OKAY BUT

This. All about this page. Every single word is so freakin’ important. I saved this to post later and forgot (because I already passed this part), but still thought I’d post it.

Dalton telling them Wapol abandoned his land (no matter how of a bad king he was). Vivi, who is sacrificing her life for her people and is putting her life on the line, a princess; she literally abandoned EVERYTHING to go out in a suicide mission with Igaram, for two whole years. It’s UNFORGIVABLE for a King to abandon his people. The people he should take care of, bring life to his country. What is a king without his people, to begin with?

I love Vivi’s immediate reaction, how deeply she was affected, how DISGUSTED she felt.

◈ — He watched her expressions, her movements. The way her face broke into the laugh. Leaving him pondering how much was forced. They continued to walk, as they did he reached out and gave Carue a pat on the head. ❝Even if I did go away, it wouldn’t mean I love this country any less.❞ He spoke using first pronouns but he didn’t mean this for himself. Vivi was kindhearted, always thinking of others before her own wants. It’s one of the things that made her a great princess, but maybe it was also one of the things tying her down here.

                    For a moment, the bluette stopped, looking directly to her Leader’s eyes once again.  Even though initially he should be talking about himself, Vivi’s mind stormed with memories and all decisions she had to make for her country -- her people, her family.  There was no regret, yet....   what if everthing turned out differently?  What if she have decided otherwise, and flee to become a pirate?  What would have happened?

                                        ‘ Is that so...? ‘   a short pause, eyes still directed at the face of one person Vivi trusted blindly for her entire life.  ‘ You know.... I do miss the sea. ‘  and finally a smile.  ‘ I miss being able to see the world.... I miss them.....  But I also love it here. I’m glad I decided to stay. ‘

     — Had she been one of his siblings, this would be the part the phoenix would pat their head all affectionately, chuckling as they noted of the days they were younger as though they had been old already; it quite amused an old man like himself but the difference had been, this female, unlike most youngsters, acknowledged of her own young age and how much more she still had to learn, and see from the world.

                 A soft chuckle came in response while Vivi looked back to the Phoenix.  He sounded like her father now --- and this in a good way. Her father, the King, was a wise man, with a vision of the world not for himself, but for others.  But everyone, no matter what age, would always have something new to learn, right...?  When in the world would a king willingly bow before a pirate for the most pure respect?  Her father learned something as well that time.

                                ‘ Changes mold us on what we are today.  ‘  she added, smiling, right before looking away to the bright blue sky above them.    ‘ I’m not saying it’s easy though....  I’m glad I’m able to hear from someone who was out there.... ‘   and closing her eyes, the princess took a deep breath.  The air was filled with far-away scents from the city, scents from the vast desert itself....   ‘ Sometimes I wondered..... If I ever made the right choices....  But I don’t regret any... My choices led me to learn something new.... it also led me to learn a bit about life itself.... ‘

◈ — There was something amusing about the way the princess brought up the question. No proper greetings, just her curiosity speaking. And yet it wasn’t meant in a rude way, but in the sense that she knew how to lead a conversation without it getting dull. But all at the same time, it was unexpected, leaving Kohza in thought for a moment before he could properly respond.

         ❝Travel, yes. But not all around the world.❞ This was some wonderment about the world around them. About how other countries operated. And how different environments thrived. However, Alabasta was his home, it wasn’t something he easily wanted to leave. ❝I wouldn’t be opposed if either you or your father asked me to accompany you on a trip.❞

  Yet, he doubted that was the answer she was looking for. Just like when they were kids, Vivi was bounded by a strong sense of adventure, and that was probably what she meant by the question. ❝I don’t need to ask you the same thing though. Is it safe to guess your answer would be yes?❞

                            ‘ That’s an easy guess, right?? ‘    it was no secret how much Vivi loved adventures. Since she was a kid, she’d seek out new adventures to live.  Ah... how much she loved being part of the Suna-Suna clan. How much fun those kids had, running around and playing. Even later when she grew up, this sense never happened to fade away, even a tiny bit. The princess was always ready to live on and try the new, over and over.

                            ‘ I know! You just love Alabasta too much to go away. ‘   this was also an easy answer, since the princess herself made this choice.  Perhaps though it was an easy one for Kohza, much more than it was for her.    Laughing at her own words though, the girl leaned forward while fixing vivid eyes on her Leader face.   ‘ I wonder if someday we could be able to travel together somewhere! ‘
