Zaire pouted a bit, placing a hand on top of Jacinta’s head. “I’m sorry, squish --- you should fight him, you know? Pow! Boom! Powww!” He punched the air with each word, trying for a smile.

“zaire!!” alani exclaimed, immediately bringing him into a hug. “i missed you,” she pouted, even though she understood. “are you okay?? are you still sick??” she asked, worriedly.
“well, i’m glad,” alani smiled. she believed him, even if there was a tiny part in the back of her brain that still worried, but that came with the territory of caring for someone, she supposed. “i was really worried about you,” she admitted.
“me too,” he said with a smile. the truth was, he was better --- not completely, but he was getting there. he didn’t want her to worry, though; that was the last thing he wanted. “i’m sorry. i didn’t mean to worry you. it was just --- a beldam thing, you know?? nothing serious.”
“Zaire? Zaire!” Hershey glitched towards him, grinning from relief. “Oh, dude, you’re just the person I wanted to see, I don’t even need the phone charger now – well, I’ll need it for later, but I got all my stuff moved to our place, right? Is it all there? I put it all in boxes, but I had to get someone to bring it all in –”
Zaire stood up from his seat on the ground after quickly gathering his things and picking up his backpack. “Yeah, dude, your stuff is all there --- I haven’t even finished unpacking my things, at this point, so we’ve got kind of a mess of boxes, but ---” he said, then shrugged, laughing a bit. “How was Sugar Rush, man? That’s where you went, right?”
Jacinta whined again, pouting as she leaned forward to bump her head on Zaire’s shoulder, letting her arms dangle below her. “Uncle Jumba sucks, I don’t like him.”
Zaire gave a small chuckle, raising one hand to gently pat Jacinta’s head. “I’m sure he’s not that bad,” he said,”but I’ll bite --- what did he do that was so terrible?”

alani smiled, loving the feeling of being in his arms. she buried her face into her neck comfortably, holding him just a while longer. “are you sure??” it seemed like he was sick for a long time, and she couldn’t help but worry.
zaire just held her for a moment, a smile clear on his face. he loved the feeling of her in his arms --- it was a comforting feel. he pulled back slightly to look at her face as he spoke. “i am positive,” he assured with a nod. “i was really sick for awhile, but --- but i’m one hundred percent better now, i promise.”
Jacinta half-heartedly kicked the wall as she let out a whine, wanting to throw her phone into the courtyard, but at the same time, she needed that. “I need a new plan…”
Zaire had decided to visit the prep school ( mainly to see Jacinta, what other reason did he have to be there? ) and had easily found his friend in the courtyard. Walking to her, he tilted his head at how defeated she looked. “Jaciiii, what’s wrong?” he called out as soon as he was close enough.

zaire smiled as soon as he saw alani, wrapping his arms around her waist and hugging her. “alani!! i missed you, too,” he said quietly, not yet letting go of her. “i’m fine, i’m feeling a lot better now, don’t worry.” he assured with a small smile.

“okay, well, i’m not hiding, but i’m trying to protect people...basically, beldams eat souls and when they don’t eat souls, they eventually become hungry for souls and...that.”

Hershey groaned, glitching around Arcadia’s campus grounds. “Hey, hey – does ANYONE have a phone charger?” he yelled out. “For an iPhone – my phone’s dead, like, KERSPLAT, and I really need to call – ”
Zaire had finished unpacking all of his things and had decided to take a look around the university’s campus. He still wasn’t feeling too great, but it had gotten better. When he saw the glitching, he blinked a bit, but ultimately knew who it was. “Hersheyyyy,” he called, then looked through his backpack. “--- I have...literally nothing in here. Yikes. Sorry, dude.”
