Let Me Paint Her in Cliches

Let me paint her in cliches

not because she is one,

but because there is no other way to describe her

because surely a better poet than I has already found every way to explain her.

She is not a blip on a screen

she is a sixties queen that just stepped out of a Hepburn film,

and I just want to scream

“I love you miss Golightly”

She is a manic pixie dream girl if I ever saw one

And she must be related to Molly Ringwald,

because truly no one could look more perfect in pink.

She is not a force of nature,

she is nature.

She is the storm that keeps me up at night,

and the sunlight that makes me feel so loved,

She is the stars, and flowers, and everything in between.

Her presence makes tidal waves look small

Her beauty would strike jealousy in Venus herself

She fills my heart with a pure ecstasy,

and then I long for my life to be a john green book

because she could be the Margo to my Quentin, and all would be right with the world 

I didn’t make her this way,

but this is how I choose to paint her

I choose to paint her in cliches

1000 follower celebration giveaway

To celebrate 1000 followers on my Voltron blog, I’m having a giveaway! I just sold these at my latest convention (which is why I don’t have the lance, keith, and pidge cat buttons at the moment, they sold out, but I’m getting more soon).

The 7″x5″ postcards are on really nice quality cardstock, and they have a holographic finish so they sparkle when you look at them from different angles! The buttons are all 1.5″ pinbacks.

RULES

-There will be 3 winners! The first will get to pick between a full set of postcards, a full set of logo buttons, or a full set of cat buttons. The second will get to pick from what’s leftover, and the third will get the last prize.

-One entry per like and reblog! Reblog as many times as you like but I think I only see multiple reblogs if you don’t do them right after each other?
