The fucking company Jen works at won't answer their goddamn phone even after I've called three times and I hate it bc Jen forgot her phone and I have no way of knowing if she's okay or needs to get picked up or whether I should bring her phone to her
And I just want them to at least give me a timeframe for when to come get her or have her call me or s o m e t h i n g and I should just tell my boss there's sn emergency and leave to go check myself but what if she's not there asdfghkll

Definitely fluff your resume, and put things that are more applicable to the job you’re applying for first. Like I had zero office exp when i was applying for my legal assistant position (i had the education just nothing else relative) and I made sure the first things showing were management (closing/opening stores, doing employee scheduling and payouts first. Even though the place i worked at - we rarely changed the scheduling. Everyone had the same shifts for 6months)
yeah, i’m definitely going to try my best to do that. i can at least add ‘janitorial work’ to my resume. glamorous, lmao, but it’s something.

Honestly it is. That’s why I’ve learned to take the skills I’ve gained and basically fluff them up on resumes. Was I officially an ASM? No. But I was the person responsible for hiring and interviewing and training people and doing my store’s operations that only the manager was supposed to do and basically the one who was tracking sales and my DM would always address me to do things and not the actual manager. So I may have it on my resume that my job title was ASM which got me my management job

Like right now on the plus side it sounds like you’re learning a lot of operational procedures and how to work in different departments which makes you hella versatile in the work force

That was me at a lot of my old jobs because I get shit done even if I don’t get paid or hired to do it. But honestly just keep at it, and either you will be recognized and promoted or you’ll learn skills that can transfer to a job where they will take better care of you. I ended up doing all the work of my manager without the bump in pay because he was a lazy POS. Place wouldn’t promote me and I was able to put on my resume that I did all the work as a manager
wow, that’s fucking stupid; i’m glad you could at least put it on the resume though. i wish jobs didn’t so regularly take advantage of their employees, ugh. i hear mom and pop stores and other small businesses are much better, but it’s so difficult to get jobs at those that pay well...
