Waking up to an empty teacup and my favorite reads at the moment with Phil the philodendron slowly taking over every inch of my desk.
[09.11.18] 24/100 days of productivity
Reading Ovid before a Latin tutoring session yesterday. It’s finally starting to feel like fall here!
Rewarding ourselves after a week filled with assignments, presentations and papers. Glad to say they all went well! That muffin was delicious by the way.
One more assignment due Monday and then things will slow down for a bit, and I can finally concentrate on my thesis.
08/01/2018 ~ [1/100 days of productivity]
The start of a new month always feels like a mental reset button for me. What better way to restart than to take on @emmastudies‘ 100 days of productivity challenge!
Sporting the marble on marble look here while busy cramming for my summer classes. My polisci final is tomorrow (*internal screaming*), wish me luck! ☺️

Trying to finish up this research paper in one of my absolute favorite coffee shops 📖
2/100 Days of Productivity
4.5.16
Today was majorly productive - I’m still a bit behind but I got so much done! The book in the middle “the Cold War” is one I’ve been reading on the train the past few days to try and expand my knowledge for history, but in a more novelised way because I find I take in information from books and textbooks differently. I also managed to finish f my ecologist notes as well as type up some history work and convert them all to pdf’s to print (Never let pdf converting build up - I had over forty files to convert) Also during the day I managed to cram in planning a history source question and a Ecologism question to consolidate some of my knowledge. Late tonight I think I’m going to do some more economics and maybe start writing my history questions and I’m super looking forwards to tomorrow because it’s Starbucks Thursday’s!! :)
091118 - working on my romanian literature essays! still have about 10 to finish until next week but i’m pushing through
27.01.2018; i’m a bit stressed because i forgot to write a teacher to ask him to sign me up for handing my thesis next month and i hope it’s not too late!
also, i’ve spend +25 euros printing and my green soul within me is dying a bit, but i needed it. i’m trying not to procastinate during my last hard-work weeks, but it’s getting harder and harder…
(i started a new reading too, has anyone read ‘commonwealth’?)
Finally a relaxing morning to myself. I like morning lectures but they are so draining. Time to plan, drink tea and take some time for myself! ☕
I had such a lovely morning today🧡 A good(and cheap!) cup of coffee, annotations and reviewing my class notes was the best combo! It was nice to have time to do everything slowly and just focus on the material☕️🍁🍂 I hope you all have these times as well, where there is no stress and you can just enjoy the work🧡♥️
29.10.18 I have tried to upload this three times today! I’m trying to get back into posting more regularly, starting now! These are some photos I took a bit ago in one of my favourite cafes in Clifton, while I was revising for my summer exam in glaciology. I hope everyone’s had a really good start to the week, I’m focusing on my dissertation literature review and my mental health after a pretty heavy week last week. Xxx Emily
By showing you my today’s study area, I am wishing you all an amazing start of the week! I personally love Mondays, they are like fresh new beginnings where you can set goals, be productive and motivated for a new week!

“I am very proud, revengeful, ambitious; with more offences at my beck than I have thoughts to put them, imagination to give them shape, or time to act them in.” -William Shakespeare, Hamlet
students as months of the year
january: fresh journals, black and white notes, bullet journals filled with motivational quotes, cold brew coffee, loves writing letters, finishes everything on time, a daydreamer, seems laid back but really they’re stressed about everything
february: doodles in the margins of notes, the person who lends you their pens, sloppy handwriting, loves motivational speeches and classical music, finishes easy assignments early but writes their essay the night before its due,
march: straight A’s, study playlists, the teachers favorite, color coded notes, everyone thinks they’re naturally smart (but really they’re spending every night studying), forgets to eat sometimes, hasn’t slept for what feels like years
april: open windows, listening to the rain and thunder, tea pots full of earl grey, a functionally messy desk, fairy lights, always losing their pens, a huge nerd, afraid to raise their hand in class in case their answer is wrong
may: cramming for tests, lives in the library, highlighters and sticky notes everywhere, drinks espresso, would definitely consider bringing their coffee pot to school, messy desk, if an assignment is due at 9:00 they’ll submit it at 8:59
june: late nights, smoothies for breakfast, hanging out with friends, takes notes on their laptop, minimalist, organized, says they’re studying but they’re actually on studyblr, tries to study everything at once and gets distracted
july: staying up late to read, learning new languages, focuses on the learning and not the grade, watches documentaries for fun, loves the classics, owns a thousand pens, takes studyspo pictures, hundreds of unread emails,
august: stationery shopping, getting ahead in class, iced drinks, spending weekends with friends, takes very little notes but does well in class anyways, a relaxed personality, healthy snacks, the master of self care
september: a morning person, new pens and folders, a perfectionist, audio records classes and re-writes notes, over works themselves, loves the smell of new books, competitive, “i’m gonna fail!” but ends up getting A’s and B’s
october: chai lattes in travel mugs, will study for three days straight and then not study for a week, snacking in class, uses washi tape and stickers, sleeps for eight hours but is tired anyways, terrible at accepting compliments
november: gratitude journals, mental health days, the baristas at their local cafe know their name because they’re always studying there, study groups, loves to travel but never travels, cinnamon in their drinks, trouble sleeping, sweet smiles
december: hot chocolate, wrapped in a fluffy blanket, says they don’t care about grades but panics when they get less than a B, to-do lists, tutors their friends, watches movies in their free time, vanilla candles
went back to the coffee shop for another study session! how is this so relaxing to me i should probably do this more often.
[08.11.2018]
Finally felt able to look at my work again, for the first time really since finishing my degree. I’m editing a few pieces – one is an essay on Europe which I started a year ago. Reading it again, it’s clear how much has changed and continues to change all the time. Scary, and exciting
