when I was like 13 I was obsessed with star wars but specifically I got super into the idea of leia rescuing oola (the green twi'lek who gets dropped into the pit at jabba's palace) and I swear I wrote and illustrated 3 binders worth of stuff about them being girlfriends which I later destroyed in the sink in tears when I found out I'd be moving house and I felt I couldn't take it with me discreetly enough without someone finding it. other than that my bi awakening was really normal
you know, I just realised I can only hope my parents' ongoing divorce was distracting enough at the time that nobody ever noticed the incredibly heavy trash bags full of sopping wet paper sitting in the outdoor bin

i didnt even get to finish outer wilds bc after a while it took me, no joke, a whole minute at least to take one step. so i uhh i uninstalled it.
it didnt engage me enough to think about it afterwards unless someone else talked about it and id go "oh yeeaah that exists" and then immediately forget about it again.
it feels kinda bad to say it but i found it really boring..
do you mean outer wilds? or outer worlds? I never played wilds, only worlds djfjfjgk if you mean the game I just played (worlds), I enjoyed it in the way I enjoy all obsidian checklist of tasks gameplay and I thought it was visually striking but it was too short and there was only 1 character I got attached to. and it felt like a tiny little fallout 4 set in space with not a lot of endings and no romancing

the fact that so much of yakuza 7 is about how there is no age limit on meeting new friends, adventuring, having fun, achieving your goals or pursuing your most idealistic dreams. after wasting nearly 2 decades in prison, ichiban sets out on becoming the hero his childhood self dreamed of being, and it doesn't happen in his late teens or his 20s. his adventure truly begins in his 40s. and thats ok.
