I accidentally drew something

I post my doodles and general art-y stuff here. My comic is here. I also have a tumblr for posting random things I like.

I keep forgetting that I still haven’t posted my last few Inktober pieces here. Here are Inktober 23-30, previously posted on Instagram: Steampunk #23 (The Gateway); Space #24 (The Prisoner); Urban Fantasy #25 (The Anti-Vampire); Post-apocalyptic #26 (The Samurai); Forest #27 (The Sphinx); Steampunk #28 (The Queen of Darkness); Fairytale #29 (The Grim Reaper); and Forest #25 (The Cursed Knight).

Starting Oct. 27 I was on a trip until the end of the month, and figured I might not be able to do the last few days; but in the end I only had to miss the very last day. That’s way better than I expected to do so I don’t feel too bad about it.

This Inktober was really fun, and overall I’m pretty pleased with the quality of the drawings I did. It was kind of tiring though; I’m still trying to catch up on sleep.

Inktober 18-19/31. Space #18: The Space Beast. Forest #2: The Forest Witch. Again, I decided to fill a prompt from the previous days.

Inks used: Platinum Carbon Black, Hero Black, R&K Hellblau, Daler&Rowney Kandahar (this one’s an india ink).

Inktober 12/31. When selecting the prompts I would do for this month, I decided that if none of the prompts for a particular day stood out for me, I would go back and draw one from one of the previous days. And I decided if I made it this far I would treat myself by drawing something that I like. So for Space #2: The Alien Empress(es), here are the Diamonds, looking like some old manga cover.

Yes, everything here is fountain pen and brush pen ink, apart from a bit of white paint on the Earth. Yes, I used my sparkly inks for both Diamonds, but I couldn’t get it to show up in the scan (you can just see it on Blue’s sleeve).

Inks used (this is gonna be a lot): Sailor Storia Lion; R&K Hellblau; Diamine Golden Sands, Blue Lightning, Eau de Nil, Safari; Iroshizuku Kosumosu; and the black watersoluble ink cartridge that comes with the Kuretake no. 8 brush. I’m afraid my dream of using up some of my ink samples this month will never be realized, as it takes only a few drops to color a whole page like this.

Inktober 11/31. Urban Fantasy #11: The Goblin Lord.

He doesn’t remind them of the babe.

Fun fact: I had trouble googling reference images of goblins because all the search results were for that Korean drama I have not watched yet.

Ink used: Noodler’s Black.

Inktober 10/31. Fairytale #10: The Huntsman.

I drew a certain scene from Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melissa Bashardoust, a book I recently enjoyed. I tried to make the stained-glass window look like a cutout paper snowflake pattern, because I thought it would be neat and not just because I can’t draw stained-glass windows. :P

Inks used: Platinum Carbon Black, R&K Hellblau, Diamine Red Dragon, Hero Black.

Inktober 9/31. Post-apocalyptic #9: The Lost Time-Traveller.

The time-traveller is wearing an outfit from the Boxer Codex.

Speaking of time distortion effects, there’s usually a delay of a day or more between my finishing and posting these on instagram and posting the edited scans here on tumblr. I just felt the need to mention that in case you thought I’ve been late with these. :P

Inks used: Platinum Carbon Black, Hero Black.

Inktober 8/31. Steampunk #8: The Bearded Woman.

A plucky adventuress tried to infiltrate the gala by posing as the famed “Bearded Countess” of Dalmatia… little expecting that the real Countess would be in attendance.

Ink used: Rohrer & Klingner Dokumentus Braun.
