For me it all started here. SNL. 2013. Through the Dark. The song ended, and I went on iTunes to buy the album.

A love affair began. And I bought in completely.

But, it was always about more than the boys.

It has always been about the people they brought into my life.

My need to go to On the Road Again tour in 2015, led me down a path where I met these incredible people. I can't believe it's only been 5 years. 5 years since I met these five incredible, supportive, funny, loving, kind, wacky, fun, vibrant women. I am SO, SO, SO lucky that I get to call them my friends.

With all the madness, and chaos in the world, just knowing that each of them is just a text, or call, or drive away, gives my heart peace. I don't know where I'd be without them

And it's all because of some random Saturday night at home, SNL, and One Direction.

It’s our third blogiversary!!!

It feels like we blinked and we got here. It also feels like it’s been way longer because it’s so much of who we are and the source of so much joy, I can’t imagine being without it. Our lives truly changed when we joined this fandom by making this blog. We are so grateful for every single one of you we’ve met along the way. Whether we talk all the time or if we just like all of each other’s posts or if you’re just checking our blog once a week to keep up-to-date on the Boys*tm* we love you.

***I also almost made this post without thanking the four most incredible and wonderful boys who made this all possible. They have grown up and continued to be such powerful forces for goodness and joy, and we love, love, love our Harry, Niall, Louis, & Liam.

We’re so happy to have this blog that has made our world so much bigger in this almost tangible way.

So here’s to many more years of AFOOD and to all of you in AFOOD nation who make it possible.
