PSA for New Users/Blank Blogs/Ageless Blogs

If you keep getting blocked from content creator blogs there are three major reasons and ways to fix them.

🚩🚩🚩This is a Huge RED flag!🚩🚩🚩

1. Update your avatar. Anything besides the default picture.

2. Update your blog title and description. Add your age range, Minor, or 18+ to the blog title/description. "Untitled" is a red flag that you are a bot. Something as simple as "Here for the fanfic! 18+" will do it.

3. Reblog or post something to let us know you aren't just a bot. You can reblog the potato of luck or make a post that just says "Human. Please don't block me!"

Please respect others' boundaries. If a blog says they are 18+, don't follow them if you are a minor. If a blog posts things you aren't interested in, unfollow or block them.

Most of all, be kind. Kindness costs nothing and means everything.

Been blocking at least one a day, blogs that are untitled and have nothing on them. These are good tips on how to avoid being blocked by others.

If you aren’t a spam blog but I blocked you because you had this on your page, I’m really sorry! But please update your page with some actual content if you want to interact with people.

So many ttrpgs use tarot cards and playing cards. We need to invent another semi-meaningful randomizer

There are plenty! I've seen games using...

- Jenga towers

- Coins

- Random words found on random pages of books

- Pointing in a direction and picking an object you can see

- Finding a number in your present environment (Ex. There are 6 books on the shelf, the clock says it's 2, there are 3 coffee stains on the table. This one I came up with for one of the Traces in Ghastronomy :) )

---------

I'm gonna propose a few ideas of my own, because this is fun to think about. If anything already uses these-- I'd love to know!

- Melting ice cubes (of varied liquids!)

- Origami jumping frogs

- Paper airplanes

- Pachinko

- Where the cat is currently sleeping

- The current weather

- Whether or not the local McDonald's ice cream machine is working

- Calling a random number out of the phone book and asking for a random number/word

- Looking at a cable guide for the number of the channel that has the soonest screening of a show with a specific word/type of word in it.

- Looking up a word on Twitch and using the view count of the closest titled stream.

- "Will it hurt if I...?"

- Music playlist shuffle.

- How many deaths, births, crimes, etc. were recorded on [date]?

- Stocks

- "How many [x] could I eat?"

- Number of stars in a constellation you can draw that depicts what you want to do/something related to it. The constellation must be theoretically visible from where you are, in the right conditions.

- How many licks does it take you to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop?

These are all Egyptian hieroglyphs.

This...

𓆝

...is a flathead mullet. The glyph is used for the animal (ꜥḏw), and apparently also as the biliteral sequence /ꜥḏ/, but only in the word for "country commissioner" (ꜥḏ-mr).

This...

𓆟

...is a petrocephalus bane. It was used for the biliteral sequence /bs/.

This...

𓆞

...is an elephant-snout fish. It was used for the animal (ẖꜣt) and also the biliteral sequence /ẖꜣ/.

But there are more!

Say hello to...

𓆜

...the barbel...

𓆛

...the tilapia...

𓆡

...the puffer...

𓆢

...and, somehow, the catfish.

I don't know why the catfish looks like Zoidberg as a fish. Maybe catfish were different in that place and time. But yeah, don't leave those feisty boys out when fish-posting!

the thing is the king charles portrait is genuinely incredible and exactly how I would execute a portrait of a member of the british royal family but also I literally cannot fathom why the british royal family would have it made

like yeah if I were going to make a portrait of king charles I would absolutely have just his smugly smirking face leering out of a mass of red that could only be read as blood and gore, and have his military uniform fading ambiguously into the same background to lay bare the brutality of imperialism concealed by the pomp and ceremony of the british state, and make the entire thing sort of look like it was decaying to indicate the rot of the empire. like I really struggle to imagine a better visual metaphor for the nightmarish history of a dying empire than the king's spiffy military uniform and saber and sash and rows of epaulets being literally made out of a rotting field of blood and gore. but like why did he have it commissioned... why did he have it MADE and then say Looks great I'm putting it on the wall... HE EVEN LOOKS LIKE HE'S IN HELL

Was staring at a piece of infrastructure, pondering on the strangeness that, as sturdy as it was, it required maintenance and eventually replacement. That everything was like this – except for biological constructs that could perpetuate themselves. But they mutate. So – what if we could build everything out of biology? Our sinks and bridges become immortal – yet destined to become eerie, shifted, unrecognizable things within thousands of years.
