Cyrus Nemati, the voice actor who voiced Ares, Dionysus and Theseus in Hades, posted this video on his twitter about doing Theseus’s voice, and I’m officially deceased. Volume warning for when he starts doing Theseus’s voice lol

“Theseus was maybe my favourite character I have ever voiced, uh, because as an actor, a writer and just as a human, I, I think insecurity is really interesting. So getting to explore this level of insecurity was exciting! So, to get into character for Theseus, I actually start with a bearing very similar to Ares, but here’s the thing: War loves War, and is content to be War. Theseus does not love Theseus. So while I start by adopting a noble posture, I’m constantly checking to make sure the person I’m speaking to is below me. I speak posh like Ares because I want to be more like Ares, but I care so much about what you think, that I have to push out every word, I must sing the words to be sure you can hear them! And when you see through my ruse, blackguard, and find out what I am…a little bit of me breaks inside. I hope you’re happy!”
