here’s another fun fact: asexual does not mean nonsexual.

asexuals’ relationship with sex and sexual attraction tends to be….complicated. there’s a bit of an idea of like, oh of course, you’re either sex-favorable, sex-neutral, or sex-repulsed, but honestly i see a LOT of discussion about how wildly different those can each look for each individual. some people are comfortable with some acts in very specific contexts, and deeply upset by them in all others. some people find certain forms of nonsexual intimacy (like kissing) to still be off-limits, while something most people might consider more charged (like nudity) is totally fine. a lot of us just kind of have a long laundry list like “this is fine, this isn’t, that one’s okay, that one’s always off-limits….” because the big secret is that “sex” isn’t really any cohesive act as much as a lot of little things that people just threw together and called one thing.

as for attraction: some aces are actually attracted to other people once in a blue moon, and simply don’t want to clarify that every time. some aren’t entirely sure, but don’t want to spend their whole lives guessing. some ARE completely sure they never have and never will feel an attraction.

at the end of the day, much like any label, this single word really doesn’t tell you much of anything about what a person is actually like unless you bother to ask them what it means to them.

Very much this - I see a lot of things were asexual is established or taken to mean not in favour of or not interested in sex, whereas I always took it to mean the experience of attraction itself, which is seperate from interest in sex, or sex drive. Like, you can be ANY sexuality but still be on that scale of sex-favourable, neutral, or repulsed, and on a scale of high or low sex-drive.

It took a long while for me to figure out I was ace precisely because of this point of view - ace supposedly meant not interested in sex, from what I’d seen, which wasn’t me, but when I realised was a matter of attraction, then it made more sense. I’d always considered attraction logically, because I never felt it. This is just me, but it does make me uncomfortable/uncertain when people take asexual to mean nonsexual, as stated above.

Sigil tips

Sigils are an ancient form of magick used by drawing letters from a sentence into a shape. Here a a few tips about sigils:

• make a pocket at the back of your book of shadows to keep all your sigils in so nobody finds them

• sigils can be charged by simpler things and still have the same affect as bigger things. example: tracing it with a cleansed crystal will still have the same affect as burning it in a fire

• carry a note book around with you so you can make sigils quickly when needed as they are one of the fastest forms of magick

• always remember to charge sigils as that is how their magick works and will be released into the earth

• keep it simple, you should be able to take a look at your sigils then draw them with your eyes closed, if you can’t chances are your sigils is too complicated

• use sigils with pure intent, not trying to impress people

• congratulate yourself, even if it doesn’t feel like it, sigils are a powerful form of magick created uniquely by you and take up a lot of energy, so don’t forget to always congratulate yourself

The big willow stands tall and powerful and is the life of this woodland. When the Druid arrives, the forest is under attack by robotic creatures. The Druid defeats them and comes upon the Sprite. The Sprite is the ethereal spirit of the forest, bound to the Heart Tree. It has been protecting the forest for centuries, but this new enemy is proving too difficult for the Sprite to defeat alone. Although the Sprite is no hurry to trust the Druid with all the magic of the forest, they must work together to save it.
