90% weird alien thirst at this point, with traces of Shakespeare and dumb memes.

Just dropping in to tell y'all about how I've gotten into D&D and then disappear for a couple more years.

My partner and I started playing about a month ago just with him DMing and me playing, and let me tell you, it makes for a wild fuckin campaign, especially when his philosophy is "I don't care if you break my game so long as it's funny".

Enter Hazel, a recently-divorced warlock (whose goblin warlock ex-husband may or may not have sacrificed him to Ghaunadaur):

Our first campaign was Lost Mines of Phandelver, where the first thing you're supposed to do is fight goblins. Let me tell you, I did not do that. I immediately seduced several of them, who killed the ones who wanted to attack me, including one who became my travelling companion. His name is Flopp.

The goblins and I ate the guy who was supposed to be my guide to Phandalin. Along the way, I picked up Bigg, Pretty, and Droop:

Also picked up some orcs, a drow elf being puppeted by my Great Old One patron, a very unwilling warlock, and a human teenager who's pretty handy with a crossbow, and is basically only in our party because she and her orc boyfriend have a whole Romeo and Juliet but with better communication thing going on.

This is the most fun I've ever had, and I can never ever do it with other people because my playstyle is basically "cause as much chaos as possible" and I hear that's generally frowned upon, but for a 1-on-1, it's pretty excellent.

The community theatre directors in my area are so performative about cast lists I stg. "oh yeah, I have to agonize over this decision for 5-10 days after auditions, and then cast the exact same people in the exact same roles I always do," like, come on, we know you had this cast in ten minutes. The cast list will be the same as it is every other time. Just put it out when it's done so I can start learning lines for The Gay Coded One.

oh fuck morau + β˜€οΈ β˜• πŸŒ—

(using screenshots from the post so I have it in front of me)

Morau's had it pretty rough, so it's very difficult for him to let his guard down -- Where he's at right now in the narrative, I think it's tough for him to see beyond his goals for his people, but he sees glimpses of a world where he can feel safe and happy.

In The Iyat Mar Incident, he attempted to create a family for himself, and losing them was extremely traumatizing, especially given that they died due to modifications made to prevent another Vorta like him from being created.

I think Weyoun and Morva both in different ways feel like a second chance at that family, and his hope for the Restoration. He's very happy to see Weyoun fully embracing his power and independence. Morva is another thing entirely. For Morau, it was humbling to see Morva recover from an almost-hopeless situation, find ways to navigate the world with his disability, and stay hopeful and trusting and so very un-jaded in spite of his trauma.

So that's a long and complicated answer to that simple question πŸ˜…

Morau has a lot of secrets, and I can't give any of the juicy ones away without spoiling some major plot points! Being very careful not to reveal too much -- Morau showed Weyoun the history of the Vorta, but he himself is less than 500 years old, and could not have experienced it first hand. Where that history came from is probably his most closely guarded secret.

Both. Morau doesn't sleep much, both out of necessity when his work requires it, and because he suffers from severe insomnia. When he's not working on the genetic restoration of his people, he tackles various projects to restore their culture, such as building and learning to play the instrument he was playing toward the beginning of Change in the Air.

Ooh, I have some fun world building for this one!

Morau's favorite flower is the roulava (the same plant that bears q'lava) - the blooms have five spade-shaped petals and are purple at the tips and fade to pure white at the center. They are very fragrant, but strongly bitter to the taste.

The plant is a very fine trailing vine, and can self-propogate and thrive in just about any environment, although it will only bear fruit when it has something to climb that will adequately support the weight -- usually a small shrub.

Taking advantage of its ability to thrive in unusual conditions, some ancient Vorta used to place a cutting in the hair with the root-node against the scalp. If tended carefully, the roots would spread under the hair, and draw moisture and nutrients from the hair and scalp, the vine would grow (usually trained into specific patterns with hairpins and meticulous pruning) and the flowers would bloom.

A plant used this way could be worn for decades if properly cared for, dying back and blooming again each season.

At first, it would appear as just a few leaves and a single bud at the site where the cutting was originally placed, but by the middle of the growing season, the vines would be covered with flowers.

Since the depth of color in the flowers is influenced by their growing conditions, deeply-colored flowers are considered highly-desireable, and a sign of good health and hygiene.

The flower crown part of this question seemed out of character for Morau, until I remembered I already had this bit of lore hiding in my notes for Vorta cultural practices pre-Dominion -- Given Morau's interest in reviving that culture, I think that fits perfectly!

Morau doesn't have a garden, exactly, but his base in the Vault at the former Shi Mar research facility contains the genetic information for every plant native to Kurill Prime, so maybe one day!
